AC3 is severely underrated. Ubisoft put tremendous effort into ensuring that Native American culture was represented accurately and without any of the usual prejudices and stereotypes. Everyone led me to believe that I would dislike this game but I was heavily attached to both Connor and Haytham. The story took such unexpected turns for me but in the best way and I think I'll always treasure the way it made me feel.
It's not about the native american culture accuracy, it's about the narrative, it was terribly paced and didn't convey correctly with the gameplay. It was a pretty ambitious but really rushed game, and that hurts me because the story was really good but bad told.
+2Good2BeTrue45 i always thought instead of Bellec in ACU they should have had Connor come to france. they hinted at it in AC3 and it would have fit for him to have been sort of, a teacher, like how Achillies was to Connor, Connor wold be to Arno
Out of all the Assassin's, Connor's is probably the saddest story because of what the European Nations did to his people, the Mohawk and the rest of the First nations for that matter. They are still feeling those same repercussions today. It still is probably the best out of all the Assassin Creed Series.
thank you sir. if not for some bugs, the story and both characters were really awesome. if they make a connor ac game in the future they need to make it more gamer friendly like AC4.
I'm so happy to see no one trashing this game. Everywhere else people attack you with the newer games being much better but for me, AC3 and definitely Connor are my favorite. This is really underrated and I'm glad I'm not the only one here who really loved this game.
The Undisputed Architect I don't think 3 is the worst, it was however a disappointing game. However the first act is amazing, all the other characters aside from Connor are memorable and amazing. I really liked how the Templars weren't just made evil in this game. All in all I think it's a game that just tried to deliver to much, but at the end of the day, it's not bad.
this game did something no other form of media could do IMO. it depicted the natives in a decent light as opposed to a sterotypical one (usually seen in old movies) i feel like this game was totally misjuged due to revelations being the one to come before it (and desmond dying). the hype for Ezio was still a thing. lucky for me i had a open mind, the only thing i never liked from AC3 was killing Haytham (we should've had choices like in GTAV. spare or kill him) as for connor his anger was justifiable, in the beginning he was a child. then his mother was killed, then his people were driven out of there own town (the village in the frontier) if i were him. i'd be as just as angry if not more, connor's story was once of pure sadness, but people never wanted that. maybe cause Ezio did a brilliant job of providing a very similar thing.but even so. connor is still brilliant and he paved the way for Edward Kenway, a pirate who could go head to head with Jack Sparrow imo finally i just want to say i had no idea where i was going with this. just typing my thoughts.
The AC III theme never fails to lift me up, and this is honestly the best mix of the theme variations on YT. I keep coming back to it! Also Connor is just an amazing hero -- he's noble, brave, and serves other people more than himself. He's honestly the best video game protagonist.
"Mother .. Father .. I Failed you both .. i failed my people .. " .. and here i got struck with lightning hard .. the only dialogue that took me deep. Still it takes me down.
I wish they could've used more of AC 3's theme, it kinda get's tiring with AC 2'S theme just hearing it in every game, don't get me wrong I love Ezio's family theme, but I want more of Connor's theme.
I would love to hear it in an Assassin's creed Game based on the age of the New Spain (Mexico city, Guanajuato, Veracruz, Acapulco, Queretaro, Puebla de los Angeles)
I like the melody and motifs more than Ezio's family, but something about the execution, sound quality or something else is somehow making it lesser to me. But I very much despise how Ezio's theme keeps being reused, I love the AC 3 theme, black flag actually as well. But Ezio's family somehow after these great themes became the de facto AC theme (or just a cheap way to try to get it to feel like AC) That said AC origins Ezio's variance is quite great.
One of the best games I've ever played. It helped me get through one of the saddest periods of my life. Just hiking around in the Frontier area was a great experience for me, good old high school days.
it has been... 12 years. now we have the witcher 3, cyberpunk, bg3, ac: mirage, but everyone who read this today is here, "returning to the roots :)" glad to see u, friend fans of first AC games will always come back to this unforgettable atmosphere
Why do most people hate Connor and adore Ezio? IMHO Connor is probably one of the best, if not, THE best assassin in the series. Connor joined the Creed for the sake of his people. Ezio joined only to avenge his family. Not to mention Connor lost his only family when his mother died and when he was forced to kill his own father, while Ezio still had his mother and his sister. And then people start dissing on AC3 simply because Connor was "not relatable" and Ezio is apparently the complete opposite. In the end, all of Connor's efforts were for nothing because the people whom he fought for ultimately drove his people out of their land, but nobody gives a fuck about his sob story since they're too busy sympathizing with Ezio because his family died.
People don't seem to understand the Native American culture and how it shapes them. In a way it's a bit racist to expect an NA (especially from that time period) to act just like a European like Ezio. And maybe some people weren't prepared for such a radical change of the protagonist since they joined the AC bandwagon with AC2, thus making them think Ezio was THE face of AC.
People may not like Connor or even Edward Kenway because they don't act in the italian Middle Ages and around Renaissance (time) with castles and knights. I also have the feeling that AC story fits there best; AC5 will be more attractive though. But I like all ACs so far, Brotherhood at most.
There is no reason to say who is better and what we say doesnt really matter. All the Assassins known or uknown are legends. Why? I think the reason is just because they were and I also say cauze they are Assassins. What do you think ?
A few spoilers ahead. ACIII and ACIV do a poor job of capturing the whole 'assassin order' feel. Connor never possessed that iconic feeling of an 'Assassin' to me. He was only using the robe and blade to defend his people, and in a way, he just felt like a third-party using Assassin's training. The same is with Edward Kenway, who only used the gift to seek plunder, and could have barely been considered an Assassin, even by the end of the game. Ezio is driven from his home, twice. He is deeply involved in the lore of the Assassins not just by his own deeds, but by involving himself in the history. In a way, he really defined the Assassins, because he was the iconic member. While driven by vengeance, Ezio eventually abandoned it for a higher cause. He even spared Rodrigo Borgia, letting him live despite the bitter memories the man inspired in the man. People love Ezio because his history paints him as a leader, lover, scholar, and warrior. Not only did he live as an Assassin, but he lived as a man. Connor, in a way, felt empty as the only thing that ever drove him was that one vague goal of defending his village. He didn't care how much blood he had to spill to get to it, and was always too hot-headed and stubborn to do anything but charge straight up the middle. As a result he suffered. He suffered losses time and time again. He lost his mother, his father, his friend, his mentor, and his entire life. The very end of the game is a testament to how fruitless his struggles were, as the last few missions of the game are nothing but exposition on how meaningless the whole fight was. In the end, my accomplishments as the player felt fruitless, and Connor's experience felt that much more unappetizing. Edward Kenway was more human, in a way, than Connor, in my honest opinion. Connor did nothing but 'fight for my people', there was little that was personal about him as it was hard to seem him react to anything that wasn't his primary goal. Kenway had a lot of personality, and was stricken and afflicted by his self much than the others. Yet, I could find him of less worth as a person due to his shortsightedness for gaining a fortune. Just like Connor, Edward never saw anything beyond his own little world, and drowned in it. He lost everything, but was lucky enough to come out of it with his daughter, and a son. In the end, Ezio was just a likable, human character. You got to see a lot of him, as a person, and he exemplified the Assassins. Connor and Kenway are end-game Assassins, being that they only embrace the order at the very end.
People may hate or love Connor and that's understandable - to each their own. But I'd like to think that everyone can agree on this - Connor had tremendous willpower. When everyone either turned their backs, betrayed, manipulated or lost faith in him, he still found a way to push onward. Call him naive, arrogant or both, but when the whole world seems to be pushing you around, it takes immense courage and determination to push back.
If I could worship. I would to AC series till Black Flag. They taught me and my memories so much that I can never forget it on even my death bed. Thanks! Love, Haytham
i honestly dont understand why people hate connor, cut the man some slack. he went through the most and worst out of all of them. but he still carried on. he had courage, honor, and respect. he did so much. he even faced an army head on on his own. sure ezio had a better personality but you wont get far in life if you compare the impossible. stop comparing every assassin with ezio. instead of the negatives, look at the positive sides. connor not only rebuilt the assassin brotherhoid but he was trying to unite with the templars to seek out a new future where the senseless killing of the innocent would stop and a balance would form. but the templars were to ignorant.
Connor has no personality well barely but ac3 isnt a bad game not even story wise the only problem i have is with connor ezio still had personality even when most of his family died
@@eniggaracer well there is quite a difference with connor loosing his mother and with ezio, yes ezio lost more but at an far older age at whitch ezio knew how to deal with such things, connor was 5 when he lost his mother, and he had to move to a new village on his own and grow up alone with no family.
@@eniggaracernot everyone on earth will still be as charismatic and playful as Ezio when they go through a tragic life man, like how Batman isn't like Spider-man. If Connor actes just like Ezio, he'd be just a cheap knock-off of Ezio, I love the difference in character in Connor, some of you only want Ezio and Ezio and Ezio. Sorry if I'm late tho
Love the second one which is used at the scene where Connor pulls out a tomahawk, which he once placed into the porch of his house. A peaceful version to recognise the fact his long lasting war is done officially.
Connor : The Wisest man of all franchise. When i played AC3 in February, i didn't think that i would be attached at this point for this protagonist. A strong man with an immeasurable wise and honesty the man type that i prefer
The AC3 trailer still gives me chills. Especially the end where Achilles asks Connor why do you fight even after they turn their backs on you and his reply simple yet so powerful "Cause No one else will"
9:06 something about this one reminds me of the CW Arrow show's theme for some reason. Which honestly, the more I think about it, would be somewhat fitting for Connor, honestly.
AC 2 had the best soundtracks. AC 3 had the best theme. Shame Ubisoft can't keep the same composer for each game. Jesper Kyde and Lorne Balfe are the best ones so far, the rest were very unmemorable. I hope they bring in Harry Gregson Williams, Hans Zimmer or Danny Elfman at some point
Thats interesting. I did think that Lorne's music had that zimmer to it. I don't think Hans Zimmer did any composing for AC 4 though, I think that was Brian Tyler. It wasn't the best soundtrack I've ever heard in the AC series so it couldn't have been Zimmer
TotallyToonsTV Yeah AC4's score was not the best. It doesn't really surprise me considering Brian Tyler worked on COD:MW3 and that score sucked too. I swear I've seen partial credit to Hans on an AC game somewhere. Not the primary composer. I don't know. Maybe it was Unity or something. Either way, this is the best AC score next to AC Unity
idk why all the hate is on connor, i havent played assassins creed 3 yet and he seems awesome to me. Edit: finally played assassins creed three and I can confirm Connor is an awesome beast and I do not know why the heat is on him. ok bye🤘🏽
This is a bit late, but I stopped for a while after playing revelations because I kind of forgot there were more. I just finished AC3 and I am surprised why people hate it. This was and is amazing.
All i gotta say is Connor for me is the number one in my list. His story his track is what i deeply love. I mean Ezio was cool and all but admit it you loved him because of the time he was living in... The city the space you had all of that shit. I love every assassin cause i played them all. But Connor was the first one i played... his way to fight was simply the best and i gotta admit he was better than all of the assassin Cause bro if we matched all of his skills Including the DLC‘s when he had the spirit of a Hawk Wolf And a Bear non of them could beat such thing. He was mutch better Assassin than Adewale, Shay, Arno, including the Twin Frye‘s.
been a good 4 years. I miss the older glory days of Assassin's Creed, and still, I never finished playing Ezio's and Connor's stories. While I do find solace listening to this track, I do still feel regretful, too. Time to save up some money to revisit the games on Steam I suppose
My ancestry would put me as a cousin of Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton so this game has significance to me. It's my favorite in the series because of the ties to 1st Nation Culture.
10/10 on soundtracks, 10/10 on gameplay, 10/10 on everything. This game was just as fun to play for me as AC2 was. Will never forget all the time I spent running around randomly assassinating people while listening to the music, Or replaying fun missions
I really like AC3 and ACU ;) but AC3 is better in my way. My favourite assassins/templars are Connor, Haytham, Arno, Élise. My favourite unarmed person is Ziio.
You are one of the few true Assassin's Creed fans who loves AC I, II, Brotherhood, Revelations, III, IV Black Flag, Rogue, Unity, all the side games and dlc, and is exited for Syndicate. You are one of us.
I like both Connor and Ezio, I know some people prefer one over the other but I don't. Ezio (At AC:II, at the start of his journey) showed us what it was like to be driven by revenge, personal gain, and anger. But as his franchise progressed, he gained wisdom and grew from a boy to a man. In the end he has accepted his pain and decided to take that pain and use it to inspire fellow assassins, saying that pain is a part of our lives we can never avoid. Connor on the other hand is entirely different (He was driven by the need, the desperation to save his people) he lost his family along with his village and this told him that he could lose the nation he lived in too so he fought, for liberty, justice, and freedom. He wanted to ensure that what happened to him and his village when he was a kid would never happen again. It's two very different stories and I can see how some people can call Connor bland, but he isn't bland, he's just lost. He's worked with so many people that turned out to be using him so that they can do the exact opposite of what he was trying to do, and while he did succeed in saving his nation once, he was ultimately let down at the end as the very people he helped drove his people out.
Its unfair for other assassin's because the only reason ezio is the favorite is because he got 3 fucking games to stretch his character so its not a fair comparison
like dude, i think Connor was way more realistic as a teen tho, like literally- he's 13 according to lore when he meets Achilles and 19 when he becomes an Assassin, so he's obviously gonna be moody plus Connor is in the middle of war, his people's land is about to be taken and the men responsible are hiding like cowards, and he has to put up with racism, bigotry and bullshit from basically everyone but the homesteaders, and even then he has to help them out; Connor overall is realistic for the scenario he's in, Ezio barely had to do anything outside of (maybe) killing Templars, he didn't have to hell he was planning to head on a vacation to Spain! he was so relaxed compared to Connor, overall Connor is moody because he's in an unwanted situation, Ezio's life on the other hand is a walk in the park compared to Connor's, the only times Ezio acted out were so quickly handled they might have not even existed!
In my opinion: - Altaïr (- Haytham) - Connor - Edward - Adewalé - Aveline - Ezio (liked him before, but the Kenways took over. Looking back, he's mostly a selfish brat as much as Edward was. Only Edward understood his mistakes earlier.)
I know no one has seen any of him yet story wise, but where do you think Arno Dorian would place? And do you think he truly fights for the Assassins, since Altair was a true assassin, Ezio followed in his footsteps, Edward was mostly a pirate, though tried to teach his son (Haytham) the assassin way, Haytham became a Templar, then Connor was fighting for freedom with the skills of an assassin.
***** I could only see Arno as a fighter for the people, at least, when I saw the 10-minute gameplay into the story. Until Unity comes out, my opinion on Arno is vague.
AC III was the first AC I ever played from start to finish and I'll always put it above any other in the franchise. That being said, I can't stand the middle point of the game, by that I mean when we play with Ratohnhaké:ton, not Connor by the way, Ratohnhaké:ton... basically, when we're not playing as Haytham or as the Assassin on the cover of the game. Otherwise, this game is pretty much perfect. The American Revolution setting is great, the Frontier is brilliant, the story is by far my favourite, Connor's character is very relatable and his evolution is great (with Edward's in Black Flag being a close second for me). I don't care what anyone says, AC III was the high point of the franchise, with Origins despite being very different from its predececors being a great addition.
AC3 is severely underrated. Ubisoft put tremendous effort into ensuring that Native American culture was represented accurately and without any of the usual prejudices and stereotypes. if you want to know what happened to connor after the game , read the comic " Assassin's Creed: Reflections " .
The gameplay itself was crap, but I see how it was intended to be better, can't wait to see what they improve in the upcoming remaster!
Me personally, I think this is the best game, but like the other person said, it was too short, I felt like I wanted to know more.
the concept of the story itself was great but it wasn't very well developed and the modern day made the pacing the worst aspect of the game for me
Assassin's Creed 3 is criminally underrated, Connor is one of the best protagonists of all time and I hope they bring him back in a sequel one day
i know man, i agree

And for the record I think Connor was the best assassin hands down. Natives r so badass Imo
Just because of connor you call natives badass
6:20 the soothing version of ac3 's theme
13:20 Best Part Ever
Amith Abraham agreed
You're Goddamn Right
ac3 is my number one favorite! this them just makes it better
13:38 ?
@@andresraulmalpartida 9:12 i like more in my opinion
Francisco Franco i dunno
I agree
Love the second one which is used at the scene where Connor pulls out a tomahawk, which he once placed into the porch of his house. A peaceful version to recognise the fact his long lasting war is done officially.
+Danny Foster that part gave me goosebumps
+Danny Foster what part is that?
0:40
I Miss Desmond :(
*****
Are we not catching onto this certain file found in ACIV?
***** other file about Connor, it says he was an assassin until his early 30s and he was about 28 at the end of AC3
@@Fizhy Which is false information given by Templars
That's it to me connor is the the best assassin he is more relatable
I know that when I'll leave earth, in a few times, I want one of thoses soundtracks to be played.
Consider this as a testimony ;)
I think the naive and almost emotionless feeling Connor gives off is accurate to what he's feeling as he is seeing his land torn apart
Connor : The Wisest man of all franchise. When i played AC3 in February, i didn't think that i would be attached at this point for this protagonist. A strong man with an immeasurable wise and honesty the man type that i prefer
You just made yourself a subscriber. This is totally mindblowing, I can't describe how beautiful it is.
Thanks buddy. If you have more compilation suggestions, feel free to message me :D
Can't explain how much I love this. Thank you.
11:17 I remember looking for that song after watching Connor's story trailer.
I can cry the whole day listening to this.
AC3 is always the best with me :3
yes
+Gia Phương Lương that's right brother
Yep
agreed
It really is. :)
Holy shit, so true, it does sound very Arrow-esque
Some of the most beautiful variations have been crammed into this video. This game and this theme are SERIOUSLY underrated, I tell you.
Black flag had great music?
It did, but I don't feel it beats 2 or 3's soundtrack
Hans Zimmer mentored Lorne Balfe and Hans contributed to one or more of the games (I think AC4)
9:05 best part, hands up
My favourite Assassins Creed game, love Connor and all in that game,is one of the best games i ever played
i cried...i swear
Me too...
I just got goosebumps, I love this, hands down.
song created for abstergo
F. ck you abstergo!

3:Edward
4:Altair
My list is
Ezio
Connor
Edward
Arno
My list is
1 Ezio
2 Ezio
3 Ezio
4 Ezio
FOR me is : 1 Desmond, 2 Ezio, 3 Shay, 4 Altaïr, 5 Connor,
Very dramatic when I'm listening to Assassin's creed themes and doing homework at the same time LOl. Love it!
So many epicness In one video. Love it good job brother!!!!
idk why all the hate is on connor, i havent played assassins creed 3 yet and he seems awesome to me.
This was and is amazing.
the theme song is my favorite thing about the game. And that says a lot. Because I really enjoyed AC3
It would make my life much easier if you managed to come up with a playlist of the songs which you want me to use in that compilation :)
Loved this theme ever since I heard it at the ending of AC Revelations
Achilles : the teacher
Haytham : the philosopher
Connor : the Legend
Also conner gimme lee!
Theme: beatiful quality of remasterd version
Me: HEART ATTACK MODE ACTIVATED!
Edward (K): Tear up my lad! Tear up
0:49 Calming a spirit, gives hope to me, motivates me, changes me...
been a good 4 years. I miss the older glory days of Assassin's Creed, and still, I never finished playing Ezio's and Connor's stories. While I do find solace listening to this track, I do still feel regretful, too. Time to save up some money to revisit the games on Steam I suppose
I would like an individual list of each variation, please.
What do you know this is the only time i agree with a fucking weeb
@X Ronixx X lmao most recent comment i saw
Kosappiuni found these first and Bahrom made this awesome compilation ;)
My ancestry would put me as a cousin of Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton so this game has significance to me. It's my favorite in the series because of the ties to 1st Nation Culture.
This has to be my second or third favorite Assassin's Creed, Black Flag has to be number one
"Because no one else will..."
So many years ago.
Ive searched for the different versions for a long time tyyyyyy sm
Beautifully arranged T_T
10/10 on soundtracks, 10/10 on gameplay, 10/10 on everything. This game was just as fun to play for me as AC2 was. Will never forget all the time I spent running around randomly assassinating people while listening to the music, Or replaying fun missions
I really love the fact Ubisoft did not made an actual copy of the Ezio-serie.
13:09 When you suddenly find that arrows can be bought from store
AC3 remaster this month!!
Jay Dowg ♥️♥️♥️♥️ i know
I'm a Native American I really enjoyed this
What's the one that starts at 9:01?
Edit: AC3 theme Variation
13:09 another great one from the trailer
Beautiful
I really like AC3 and ACU ;) but AC3 is better in my way. My favourite assassins/templars are Connor, Haytham, Arno, Élise. My favourite unarmed person is Ziio.
:)
+the Élise what about Shay?
:)
I like Shay too.. but when i wrote this I didn't notice ACR
You are one of the few true Assassin's Creed fans who loves AC I, II, Brotherhood, Revelations, III, IV Black Flag, Rogue, Unity, all the side games and dlc, and is exited for Syndicate. You are one of us.
Most underrated AC game
i wish to see Desmond again.....
Me too :')
Maybe with the shroud of Eden that was found in Syndicate, but after Syndicate they never mentioned the shroud.
Now Im going to feed you your teeth
- Haytham Kenway
combat and music in this are 10/10
Its unfair for other assassin's because the only reason ezio is the favorite is because he got 3 fucking games to stretch his character so its not a fair comparison
4:50 always gives me chills
Bringing tears to my eyes damn
like dude, i think Connor was way more realistic as a teen tho, like literally- he's 13 according to lore when he meets Achilles and 19 when he becomes an Assassin, so he's obviously gonna be moody plus Connor is in the middle of war, his people's land is about to be taken and the men responsible are hiding like cowards, and he has to put up with racism, bigotry and bullshit from basically everyone but the homesteaders, and even then he has to help them out; Connor overall is realistic for the scenario he's in, Ezio barely had to do anything outside of (maybe) killing Templars, he didn't have to hell he was planning to head on a vacation to Spain! he was so relaxed compared to Connor, overall Connor is moody because he's in an unwanted situation, Ezio's life on the other hand is a walk in the park compared to Connor's, the only times Ezio acted out were so quickly handled they might have not even existed!
Why wasn't these variations tracks released? They were easily much better than the main theme.
9:12 the best one
@bahrom7893 you did a great job mixing this
Beautiful (:
My enemy is a notion not a nation
In my opinion:
- Altaïr
(- Haytham)
- Connor
- Edward
- Adewalé
- Aveline
- Ezio (liked him before, but the Kenways took over. Looking back, he's mostly a selfish brat as much as Edward was. Only Edward understood his mistakes earlier.)
Ezio wasn't selfish, he was just flawless.
***** Admin on the French wikia. Played each like 4 times already. Ezio's a nice guy, be he's not such a deep character compared to the others.
***** Well, he was just a bit too snooty. I don't hate him, though.
7:17 when ur late to school
The theme at 9:00 is fucking sick
love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last one is my favorite variation. Is there a way to find a full version of that one?
Tatum Pelletier Search on the uploader's channel, there's a playlist called Assassin's Creed III OST.
I don't care what anyone says, AC III was the high point of the franchise, with Origins despite being very different from its predececors being a great addition.
could you give me the name of the variations :c?
Masterpiece!
