This was done for the Japanese voices too for some characters. For example Kakashi, Deidara, Sasori all have different voice acting in 2 and redid them for the later entries. When I listen to the voice files for them, I can definitely see why they did that either because of the performance or the audio quality. But for English it does seem like a downgrade in almost every place. Great video btw!
Correct, some of the Japanese voice lines were also re dubbed and I also believe they were better in S1 & 2. Just my opinion. The sounded like it had more life to them if that makes sense
I really don't feel very strongly either way. I agree with some lines being delivered better, like Taka Sasuke's "Amaterasu" and "It's over", but others are so marginally different that I have no idea why they even bothered re-recording them. I wish you had been more selective with your examples, showing a bigger range of characters with specific lines where the difference in quality is night-and-day. Otherwise, it just comes down to preference. Like, for me, Minato's "can't you defend?" and "you're like a punching bag!" are pretty non-negotiable, even if "you're wide open" is pretty good, too.
Ok avenger storm 2 takes the crown in my opinion for this one the voices in storm 2 better than storm 3 also im so mad in storm 4 lol like when i was out if chances for disconnect i accidentally turn off my PlayStation and it get me my 58th disconnect but remember only crashes tho

The voice acting in Storm 2 is the best in the series I’d say. It sucks that if the game crashes you still get a disconnect
