  • In this Bangkok vlog, I leave my hotel due to the poor internet and move to a budget Airbnb-but is it a nightmare or hidden treasure? I take you on a tour of my new accommodation, which turned out to be quite decent! After settling in, I explore the area and visit two nearby Bangkok malls. Along the way, I try Thailand’s McDonald’s, indulge in some food court favorites, and get a taste of a dessert similar to Japan's kakigori. To wrap up the day, I visit Chatuchak Park, where I encounter some unexpected wildlife-giant lizards! Come along for the adventure and see how Bangkok budget living compares!

Icon Siam shopping mall is another bigest fancy mall to visit. It's locate next to the river and there is a big local food market at ground floor.Just take bts green line and get off Krung Thon Buri station for continue the gold line to get off Icon Siam.

@@RaiWayOut Thailand has a famous ghost story program on RUclips and people often encounter them in hotels.
But don't be afraid. Most Thai ghosts only scare Thai people. Westerners probably don't encounter them very often.
Or maybe they encounter them but they don't tell them.
Or maybe they encounter but westerners who don't believe in supernatural and think it's people, so they don't panic too much.
Thai ghosts usually come in the form of a like person or scary shape, a shadow, a sound, a smell. They don't drop things or move around like westerners do. 😀

I like that location but just a little crowded… union mall its a mall for all the students and ladies coz they sell a lot of cheap clothes and uniforms for college kids
Central its really old mall been open for 50 something years… but always been developing to look modern

    • @RaiWayOut
      @RaiWayOut  9 дней назад

That makes sense!!! Union definitely had much more of a younger crowd and entire floors with mostly women’s clothing and accessories.

Local here, been really enjoying your videos even though I don't usually watch vlogs. Great color grading, soothing voice, and I like your relaxed vibes! Sizzler is indeed quite good for a quick meal, as another commenter pointed out, but I'd recommend staying away from their beef steaks. Their chicken and pork dishes are much better and more reasonably priced.
Emsphere is another great (pretty upscale) mall for food if you ever visit that area, and I’d recommend the Srinagarindra Night Market as well, in case you want to check out all the popular night markets -- I personally prefer it to the other night markets. Cheers!

Thank you for giving it a watch! I appreciate that so much! Also, I didn’t realize Sizzler was so popular! I always try chicken dishes first to test ahahah I’ll do that! Emsphere is close to Terminal 21! I know of it but I haven’t been. I’m on a mission to explore all night markets so I’ll definitely be there! Great info 😁🙏🏾

If you crave salads I highly recommend Thai Sizzler. They have all-you-can style salad bar for about 169 baht per person I think (drinks are not included). Their steaks are pretty good too though, my favorites are spicy chicken steak and minced beef patty steak. Also, if you order one plate of steak, then you can enjoy their salad bar for free, but still the drinks are not included.

Hi Rai, today I decided to visit Sizzler with my mom after 3 months, and to my disappointment they have decided to reduce the size of their chicken and pork steaks while keeping the prices unchanged. The items in the salad bar were still the same as 3 months ago though. So, would I still recommend Sizzler after today's experience, the answer is if you want a good steak just avoid Sizzler for now coz their quantity is just not worth the price tag. However, if you just want to have unlimited salads, soups and fruits, then go on weekdays coz on weekends the price person for the salad bar is higher.

I understand! I’ll still go because a salad bar is hard to find for me and I need to eat vegetables sometimes 😅 I see inflation has also effect Sizzler then. I hope you were still able to enjoy your food there

Yeesss! I was staring at the McDonald’s touchscreen, praying you’d pick the mozzarella sticks. I’m definitely trying them when I visit. Also, your beard action is looking trimmed and coming in nice. I’m glad the new place has a safer walking path and no dogs. And my Mom’s homemade peach cobbler is my fav dessert. Good luck finding that😉.

If you plan to use the BTS frequently, I recommend getting a Rabbit Card. Just bring your passport when purchasing it for the first time; it will save you a lot of time. The area you’re staying in is a bit on the outskirts and very local. I suggest taking the MRT (you can use your US credit card for payment) to Thailand Cultural Center Station. There’s a 24-hour venue called The Street and a night market behind Esplanade Mall called The One Ratchada.

16:14 OMG, my mom and I love that place. It's the best Thai tea ice shavings in our opinion; very fragrant, not too sweet but very satisfying, and the pearls added nice textures. It's expensive so we have it like once in two months or something.
