- Ridge is worried when he discovers that he cannot see anything. Eric admits to Lauren that he is unhappy with his marriage because he thinks Sheila is not completely honest about her past. Lauren tells Eric she has a story to tell him about Sheila that she should have told him long ago. Sheila panics when Mike tells her that Eric went home to meet with Lauren. Brooke fears that Ridge may be permanently blind.

Why are Ridge and Brooke so rude to the doctors? It's not _their_ fault any of this happened. In fact it's RIDGE AND BROOKE'S FAULT for fooling around in the lab! 🥴

Honestly I could understand Ridge's anxiety having just found out he can't see.
Brooke, on the other hand, who knows she actually caused the accident by her carelessness in the lab needs to calm down.
As a chemist she should know that fooling around in a lab full of chemicals and sensitive equipment is wildly inappropriate.. But I guess being appropriate was never Brooke's strong suit...
Brooke demanding to know how long the blindness will last as if it's the doctor's fault Ridge can't gawk at her buh zooms.
I'm sure it wasn't the first time patients have been rude to doctors and doctors may know their patients need somewhere to focus their anger or whatever.

How did Ridge burnt skin heal so quickly?
I like how Eric's whereabouts come down to Eric's minion (Trish) vs Sheila's minion (Mike). And it's fitting that one of them is just being professional and following orders while the other acquired the information by snooping and eavesdropping.

I think Trish did a great job standing her ground. I hope she finally gets rewarded with some time off from that place since she's there 24/7
@@TriniT21 It reminds me of one of the earlier seasons when Stephanie was demanding to know where Eric was and Margo refused to tell her but Trish did and I said, "This is why Margo will be gone soon while Trish will still be employed at Forrester for years to come."

There's so much bad/inconsistent writing. Another example: Lauren not knowing about the paternity drama here even though _Brooke told her about it_ when they first met in episode 1382.
James (who's had extensive therapy with the couple) thinks Eric has changed his mind about divorcing Sheila, while Stephanie immediately clocks that Eric was just pretending.

Talking to Lauren is like going to your favorite restaurant and ordering your favorite meal. However, when they bring it to your table there's nothing on the plate!!!🍽️ No breadsticks, no appetizers....No Nothing!!☹️ And, when you say "where's my food?" They say it's coming......but sadly it never comes 😭. I'm still baffled that no one has thought to check the news archives of the last few cities Sheila's lived in🤷...it's still not too late😉

This Eric/Lauren scene is giving Sheila's story the air of mystery and danger it deserves. It's good staging with Eric describing his wife's puzzling behavior and with the conversation circling around Sheila's major crimes: her past in Genoa City, the death of Jay Garvin and Bridget's paternity test. THIS is how Sheila's end should unravel. When you have a character as diabolical as Sheila who has gotten away with things for so long, the audience expects that character's comeuppance to be thorough and complete, for every story beat to be hit, for the character and her crimes to be treated with seriousness and care. Unfortunately the way Eric and Stephanie will _actually_ find out about Sheila's past will be rushed, underplayed, lame and unsatisfying.
But let me ask... Lauren's whole attitude seemed to shift when she heard of Dr Garvin and his untimely "fall" off a balcony to his death..
If Eric hadn't mentioned this specific incident, would she still be so inclined to spill the beans to him now?
And I totally agree.. The actual Sheila reveal was so pathetically done and not deserving of a villain like Sheila.
that SHeila is still on the loose in 2023 , and seemingly found her happiness as well, is unspeakable lol. And Taylor , who has been the most suffering character in the show,..is still "suffering" sort of.
@@TriniT21 Yes. It seems the news about Garvin is what triggered it for Lauren. Which makes sense because Eric doesn't think Sheila is capable of murder but Lauren _knows_ she is.
YES! This is a great point. As a viewer you feel like YOU invested so much time in this storyline (the Lauren/Sheila rivalry) and so you expect the show to pay that off and treat the "end" of that storyline with care. It's very disheartening when they don't.
To me, the greatest weakness is that Sheila's role in Bridget's paternity was never revealed. She actually got away with it.
Eric, you don’t know Sheila because you didn’t WANT to know her. You can’t blame everything on Sheila. As soon as you married her, it was all about the belief formula and Brooke. Later, it was about Stephanie. Do I need to go on?
He got angrier with Sheila for being Brooke's secretary, yet he's okay with Brooke running his company

1st Eric went couldn’t see after coming back to Brooke and now Ridge they both get their eye site back, but still are blind with Brooke, Lol
Ridge is a man-child and Thorne and Brooke aren't much better. 4 years ago they all experienced something similar when Eric was hospitalized after saving little Eric and then unexpectedly suffered from a temporary blindness. Now Ridge faced a severe accident and his eyes got injured. And they expect the doctors to be instantly be able to tell them the cause of Ridge's current blindness, if it will be temporary or how they can treat it? 🤔Neither of them remembers how the doctors had to thoroughly check out Eric - and it then still took time until the sight returned?
Eric wasn’t so upset about his blindness because he temporarily had Brooke doting over him…when Ridge and Brooke were planning a life together.🥹

The first was good, but an unnecessary encounter bc Lauren has no obligation to Sheila. She knows Sheila is crazy and if she really wants to ensure Eric's happiness, he needs to know the truth. In fact, this convo today between Lauren and Eric, could have just as easily happened yesterday.
Molly, on the other hand, was more obligated to Sheila as her daughter. So the purpose of her dinner with Sheila and Eric was to hope her daughter really has changed and that Eric was a catalyst for that change. So molly was more obligated to ensure Sheila's happiness over Eric's, hence she never revealed Sheila's past.
That's a great comparison, Trish! And you're right, despite what Sheila had done to Molly, you could still understand how a mother would want to forgive her daughter and not destroy her new life, but it makes NO SENSE for Lauren to be hesitating in that same position. And of course it's telling that the Molly dinner scene happened under Bill Bell while the Lauren dinner scene happened under Nepo Baby.

But honestly it feels like Ridge the Nepo Baby of Forrester is writing these Eric /Sheila /Lauren scenes, bc they are really written just as badly as Ridge's acting lol.
I keep saying these soap operas are like storybooks...the story has to have a logical flow and the characters have to be logically written with motivations that make sense or are relatable for us to follow. Same should be done with a soap.

Isn''t that the same doctor they had when Eric was blind? Dr Peyton? episode 1245+1246// corr. - Eric's doctor was played by Rod Britt in 1992 (Eric's blindness SL), who already has treated Ridge when someone had beaten Ridge up outside of Pierre's restaurant (1991)
It’s not the same actor playing the doctor as the one who played the doctor for Eric….when he was blinded.
I checked it again.The current doctor (actor Steve Carlson) has been on before,
- but in 1993 when Macy and Kevin have been hospitalized because of a car crash
- he was the doctor who told Sally that she is in the early stages of menopause (ep. 1652)
