    I used to go to a place in Brooklyn NY that had a scale incorporated into the dock. And it was setup for tankers and flatbed trailers as well as the dry vans we brought to them. It was pretty cool because I could step out of the truck and onto the dock without climbing down 😂. I always wear boots or at least shoes for safety reasons. Some places won't let you outta the truck with anything else on your feet. Truck on young man!

    I think my current record is 46,120 lbs of boom boom juice. One and only time I was over 79k (79,4-79,5). Was actually a hair over on drives with full tanks.
    Are there any restrictions on your vehicle that you're leasing.. like a governed speed? I don't think I've ever passed a prime truck that wasn't going in the 63-67mph range. My carrier has us at 70pedal and 72 cruise.
    Congrats on super trucker status.. driving in slides!

    Would like to switch to tanker but some people told me that Tanker might be removed from Prime.
    I still want to switch divisions
    At least I could get experience out of it.
    Do Prime allow drivers to switch divisions during these hard times?
    And if so, would I undergo training?
    Specifically do you know if training with a trainer is an option?
    It would be preferred since I’m new to the trucking industry.
    Been lease op for 5 months by the way.

    Just found your channel. I’m curious, do your tankers ever get surge and how is it controlling it with an automatic? I drive a 7K gal smooth bore vacuum trailer that empties midship, we pump grease traps, but I can only put 6K gal and be 80K lbs. That creates one helluva surge😂😂. I will only drive manuals.

    • @truckingwithrex
      @truckingwithrex  10 месяцев назад +1

      No issues with an automatic and surge imho! Surge does slap if I slam on the brakes or jerk the wheel lol but I’m pretty smooth with now

    • @BuckInchuteranch1
      @BuckInchuteranch1 10 месяцев назад

      @@truckingwithrex gotcha, was always wondering because of the lack of controlling shift timing. 1st time I didn’t think about that I went for 6th, on a 10spd, and the surge smacked the back of the trailer and I was going back to 2nd 😂 😛

    How does setting up an LLC protect you? I’m obviously not a lawyer, but I do know a little about LLCs. Usually it only protects you from lawsuits including lawsuits if you have debt that you can’t repay. But most companies require you to also personally guarantee you will pay any expenses unless your company has some kind of assets or significant income for a couple years. Other than that, an LLC can protect an operation in case one of the drivers gets into an accident then you can’t sue the owner, but as far as I know if you’re the driver you can be sued in your personal capacity because you were the actual driver, so an LLC wouldn’t help you then. At least as far as I know. Is there some other reason it’s good to have it though? Or is it one of those that are the reason you set up an LLC?

    • @truckingwithrex
      @truckingwithrex  10 месяцев назад +1

      For me my LLC protects me from credit card companies trying to sue me. Hypothetically speaking let’s say I owe 50K in credit card debts, student loans etc. they can sue me personally but not my business. My LLC didn’t open those credit cards or student loans. So me keeping all my funds inside my LLC protects me in this way.
