Dude you absolutely rock, I was at a point in my life where I started to question my faith and then I heard about Unblack from a metal iceberg video and I discovered Antestor and Crush Evil and after listening to "The Crown I carry" I listened to everything else and you guys helped me restore my Faith and made it stronger, thank you so much man God bless you and rock on 🤘💀🤘🙏
Thanks for doing this video! :) Antestor has been one of my favourite bands since I was in my upper teens! Antestor is from Norway. I played in a christian death metal band called Obsecration back in the late 90s. And we actually had a gig in Sweden with Antestor, Extol and another band! I have seen Antestor live several times! Maybe our band Admonish played during the same weekend on the festival 'Nordic Fest' as Antestor. Both our bands have played there anyway. On this album, the Forsaken, Hellhammer from Mayhem plays the drums. So the drumwork is awesome! I have Martyrium on Vinyl, I think I have all their records. I think I like this record the best!
Not Sure what Antestor Means. I know they are a Christian Black/Death metal band and probably considered the "elite" of this type of so-called Christian music. The forsaken is their best album, but I like most of their stuff. Ive Never seen them live - Im not sure they have ever made it to the states. I also know that they were controversial enough to receive death threats after some of their shows from hardcore satanists, Which is ridiculous. Their music is superior to a lot of popular extreme metal acts in my opinion. Anyway, thanks again for the review... another tune im really liking these days is by TYPE O NEGATIVE - Wolfmoon. you might check it out or review it sometime.
Ive became christian just few years ago, and I used to listen a lot of Black metal, It was my favorite metal genre and discovering Antestor was too good for me because was like listening to Dissection (almost that) with Lyrics about Christ, so i liked it very much.

I just found them last year and have been jamming to this album since then.
Ancestor is one of my favorite unblack metal bands.
Also, definitely check out Renascent. Their song In Hell is my recommendation on where to start.
One notable nugget about this album I don’t believe was mentioned: The drums were played by former Mayhem drummer, Hellhammer

People debate the genre, but it’s black metal. Defining a genre based upon religion is ridiculous
