Exactly !!!! Muscles and flexibility produce chemicals in the muscles bone and cartilage etc. that cross the brain barrior to FEED the brain ! Getting older and sendentary STARVES the brain. That's why at 71, I exercise when ever I notice I'm forgetting words and where my keys are. Fixes my memory in just one day. But my joints are stressed or old muscle injuries flair up and I am forced to stop there goes my memorie improvement.

You are definitely on the right track here and what you preach is definitely the go for those needing a starting point. I’m 60 and have been implementing training along these lines for approximately 5 years now and it’s an absolute game changer at 60 I do things most my age would never do my favourites are primal movement, ground movement, animal movement, calisthenics and simple parkour in nature, this is now with me for life! Keep up the awesome content.🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍👊💯🔥

I did a thesis involving neuron dynamics as well (small world) and a degree in physics …and like Lee moved far away from quantum explanations for things,
but the underlying integrity of the whole organism is the center organizing point!
    Excellent video

I’m 68 retired and losing muscle mass quickly. I used to run from my 40’s into my 50’s then stopped, lifted weights sporadically. I’ve considered running but heard it may reduce testosterone. Where should I start please? Thanks for this information!

Just try a handstand against a wall, start there🙏. You can absolutely do it!! Im 47, started my journey, using these vids and others, 4 years ago. Im faster, stronger and feel more in touch with my surroundimgs, more than ever before🙏. My daughter tells me Im the strongest man she knows; @only 147 pounds, can make it look easy to climb my door jambs, have video of that on my channel🙏

Distance running reduces testosterone. Sprints increase testosterone. At your age and because of your lack of recent running your will have to do a bunch of joint flexibility and strengthening exercises for about 9 months before you try to sprint at 100% capacity. If not you will at least blow out your Achilles tendon or a knee. Try looking up short videos by "MovementbyDavid" At the end of his videos he says "stay flexy". Lee Weiland also has some joint strengthening videos as well but I haven't seen all of his.

@@bradlwykfulbrightA 68 year old inactive man should NOT start with handstand holds.

Running marathons and long cardio sessions (2hrs+) decreases test. 30 minutes won't be detrimental to your test levels, beneficial if anything

Just give a call to Pacific Rim Athletics for a consultation with someone who really knows what they're talking about. Your starting point will be extremely important.
Make sure you get top advice from day one. Doing this will accelerate your skill/strength curve by years, even decades, and will serve to avoid the common injuries the rest of us have made. I turn 74 in June and make no excuses for age.

So the book Spark was right all along? All this makes complete sense. But lets say you had to have one or the other. Athleticism or smarts. Which would you choose? Turns out you need both for both. Movement breeds genius. And if it doesn't? Who cares cuz you're movin and thats better than smart and stagnate. Just my thoughts

I really appreciate your honesty in your videos but being 80 ,with a large number of injuries from young ignorance , I question if I should start with your material. Or how can I do it without being able to get to your facility.
