This CED of Disney's Candleshoe Originally Came Out in 1981 Then VHS/Beta in Neon Mickey Series in Early 1985 Then Disney Studio Films VHS Collection in 1991, and Finally 1999 Re-Issue for Anchor Bay Video with The Same Time on DVD. Then Disney DVD in 2003.
As a Gen Xer, I always liked this movie when it shown on cable in the early 80's. Disney when it was still Disney: family/kid friendly entertainment. Still, it is surprising that Disney hired Jodie Foster to do this and "Freaky Friday" just a year after she did "Taxi Driver." She's great, but, boy, does she look butch in this. (Was anyone surprised when she came out?) Also, the writer David Swift was the writer and/or director for the '60's Disney's classics: Pollyanna and The Parent Trap. His 1st wife was model/actress Maggie McNamara who became one of Hollywood's sadder tales.
Same aspect ratio issue as with some VHS. Seems sb slept through scanning the anamorphic film master. Interesting, just when I thought I'd know of all retro Foster movies formats you learn something new. Awesome upload. Thank you. BTW if there is more vintage JF on obscure media feel free to share.
All I currently have is the 2005 DVD of The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane, the 1998/1999 widescreen VHS of Taxi Driver, and umpteen copies of The Silence Of The Lambs.
@@rhythmnation2004 I have The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane on every DVD, blu ray, VHS, laser disc from around the globe ever published. Plus the soundtrack , vinyls in all formats. I in-depth researched the movie and its making for a decade. Talked to the director and creatives involved. Contributed findings to wikipedia, film forums and imdb. I had to do this, the movie kind of haunted me since childhood days.
@@shanerollins3736 I remember Silence got home theatre release at the beginning of the DVD hype. Unfortunately, to this day, all film masters used for DVD or Blu ray were really bad. This timeless classic deserves better/remaster. On the other hand, the Down The Lane blu ray looks stunning and is absolutely worth a buy. Funny if you think it's 15 years film tech between them.
This opening song has been stuck in my head for YEARS! I am glad I’ve found it to get it out of my head! Lol
My all-time favorite movie opening🤗
The opening scene brought back so many memories boiii
I wish someone would upload the fight between Casey, Cluny and Anna. That was my favorite scene.
My siblings and I LOVED this movie!! I DO wish Disney would go back to making fun family movies like this.

Wow I barely remember this movie. I remember watching it on VHS at daycare.
