This drama is a breath of fresh air from all the complicated, heavy and toxic storylines. Even the second lead rejection has been handled very well. The story and characters exudes a positive vibe, you’d want to live in Huidong to experience a carefree uncomplicated life. ❤️

Joy is such a great actress and I have really loved watching her in 'Once Upon a Small Town'! This is my new favourite drama. I already plan on rewatching the whole series again.

I adore this drama! I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a new comfort and healing drama. The acting, writing, directing and cinematography were all great. Every episode was enjoyable and it's so re-watchable I already plan of binge watching the entire show again. It's a mid-form webdrama so there's only 12 episodes at around 30 minutes each. I would've loved for it to be longer, but on the other hand its shorter length also means that there's no dull parts. Joy and Youngwoo were excellent as Jayoung and Jiyul!
Also just to let everyone know the drama has now reached the Netflix Top 10 in 33 countries and the Netflix Global Top 10 TV (Non-English).
So true. Some k-dramas that last an hour or more an episode have so much wasted dragged out nonsense. I end up not finishing half of them when it doesn't add to the story-line. I just end up frustrated yelling at the screen to "Move it along already!"

I really enjoyed this drama, it felt very light and airy. I laughed out loud a lot and had second hand embarrassment 😆. It feels like kdrama writers finally listened to the viewers and made a hometown drama that focused mainly on the leads. The storyline is a bit cheesy but it was enjoyable.
