The appearance of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) visual information does not imply or constitute DoD endorsement.
Views presented are my own and do not represent the views of DoD or its Components.
“It’s not a game.” 😂- you really know how to keep the Dad nerds engaged.
*I liked that observation at the end.* "It's been available for 20 years. But now, you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own home." Well said.
Looks like skid zoned out during movers explanation of double ugly haha
The Poles brought HINDs with them. I remember taking the round robin helo out of Zormat one day back to Gardez, and I thought we went into Lightning until I looked over and saw four HINDs parked in the shelters.
The Czechs had Hinds as well.
Man that city is .Kandahar .my homeland Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Sick! Does it look fairly accurate?
Mover as an AFE (Life support) troop I was very excited for the new pilot models so I could geek out about something I actually know about
The amount of detail they added is insane but they also added plenty of things for me to critique lol
Come for the DCS content, stay for the digs thrown at each other!
Hey Skid! Shaft's son here, long time no see! Hope you're doing well, I'm planning a charity stream in honor of my dad, while learning the A10 in DCS, love to get in touch maybe we could coordinate with Mover and some of the other DCS guys
The Marine Corps did deploy some M1's in Helmand, I remeber seeing video of them breaching walls with them
Yes Delta Company 1st Tank Battalion 1st Marine Division deployed to Helmand in late 2010 with 14 M1a1s. Engineers also had the ABV which is based off the Abrams for clearing IEDs. The Canadiens also had some Leopard tanks in country.
Loved the smack talking :) i believe this is only a third of the eventual full Afghanistan map. Thirdanistan, if you like!
Looks like a place that doesn't have cold winters getting most of the greenery cut down for fires.
Visuals are totally awesome!!!!
Could also be titlted "banter between A-10 and F-16 pilots, while some trailer plays in the background" 😅😂
Edit: Marines had Abrams in Afghan.
FYI, they had some Abrams in Afghanistan. And the Cannucks and the Danes brought some Leopard MBTs
This was great, I enjoyed listening to you both. ^^
Your logo would make a good challenge coin.
It would be nice if you guys would do a quick review of your wall decor. Would be nice to see the plaques and coffee cups, belt buckles, toys etc-- up close. Your, guest is funny has awesome walls and cabinets.
I just want to fly into KAF.. I spent 4+ years there. LOL. That was Bagram btw.. Disney Blvd. Also, those Hawgs were WAY too clean.. Hawg was easily the filthiest airplane I'd ever seen in theater.
5:42 Yes that is the MRAP International Maxx pro. There we're several types of MRAPs. That one and the Buffalo had the best protection. The MRAP 4X4 Cougar variant was the best for the Mountain roads. I talked with an F-15E driver at Bagram, who showed me the flight line, they always had 1 AIM-9 equipped when on missions. Don't know if I should mention the reason why here. The A-10s I saw didn't. Never saw the Viper or Hornet close enough to see if they had Aim-9's equipped. And yes, no Abrams, at least I didn't see any. Saw a LOT of OH-58 birds launch out of Salerno. Oh, and yes, Bagram DFAC was AWESOME. Best Chicken Curry I ever had in my life.
From what I heard there was one province that had tanks, the rest of the country was too mountainous for them to be effective. Also the Polish brought in Hinds and Su-25s at one point.
@@joeblow5214 Makes sense, just wonder which province? Would have to be flat. That is true for the Poles. Mi-8s were used too.
We had a couple of Maxx Pros that were catastrophic losses from IEDs right behind the two front seats. There was some sort of gap in the V hull there (in 09-10 at least).
@@kentchristen6048 Really? I was there '08-'09 and a 25th I.D. Officer told me they had one roll over a 400lb'er and everyone was safe, just bells rung. The only complaint I heard about the Maxx Pro's in my time there was leaking from the Turret. That sucks. I would assume International amended the weakness quickly after. They had Reps on the ground there taking immediate feedback. My Unit used the roll-over happy RG-31s primarily, then later we mixed in ASV's.
@@corvetteworldrob8586 Well, rollover and IED were different forces. I could see it being safer for rollovers, although it was pretty top-heavy.
I never had steak or shrimp at Balad. But Indian night at the Air Force DFAC was awesome.
And Bagram just sucked.
marines had abrams in Afghanistan
Lol. The comments. Seems like DFAC is the hot button topic here.
Mover's not an ambiturner. Say, "Blue steel!"
Afghanistan just looks like Montana, but somehow with fewer crazy religious fundamentalists
The banter was hilarious folks...
Great content, but all these were southern Afghanistan. Most were Kandahar.
Boys US didn't have tanks in Afg. Canada deployed leopard 1 and leopard 2
@1:44 mover, they are turning left
A-10 pilots have no concept of aesthetics, their plane is just always maximally ugly.
not this guy, he never gets the jokes n sorta boring. we need Gonky
It's free to be nice.
I like him a lot. And I don't even like the A-10.
Funny to me. Don't listen to haters and trolls, I mean that's all they can do on the net.
