2024 Maker in Residence Stop Motion Video

Shannon Lee was the 2024 Maker in Residence at Indian Trails Public Library. She is an independent animator, visual artist and educator. Her films infuse science fiction, magical realism, and personal experiences through experimental narrative and animation techniques. Shannon’s animations have been featured at International film festivals and she currently teaches at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
As a part of this year’s residency, Shannon worked with a group of 10 members of the library, teaching them to create 2D puppets with hinges, and learn stop motion animation to create short videos. This video is a compilation of animations created by Shannon and library members.
