Thanks, Paul! Man Dragon's Dogma 2 just ended up being SO much more engaging than I was thinking! Rise of the Ronin is on my radar as well but haven't taken the leap yet :)
Cool video again man :) I've finally played through Detroit Become Human. I actually already had it for PS4 but never played it, then got it for PC and played for a bit but it didn't really grab me at first. Pushed through a bit further this time though and the story does become very good (if a little depressing with its outlook on human nature). Then I switched to Returnal which I picked up recently... and man, I'm blown away by this game. I'm playing it with headphones and the sound design is SO good. The game is very creepy and I keep looking over my shoulder (in game) to see if that creepy noise was just background or something creeping up on me (until I realised nothing really creeps up on you in this game, it's pretty clear when combat starts... but still, creepy!) It's pretty hard and I was a bit worried I might get frustrated with it for not progressing, but then it kind of all came together and I beat the first biome boss and actually steamed right on and beat the second biome boss too (I'm still going on that run, it's suspended now). Neither of these was on steam deck btw, or on PS, felt like playing on my full phat PC for a bit, which is why I'm picking these more demanding games so my PC can roll its muscles some :P I really want to play Dragons Dogma 2 at some point too, loved the first one, but not in a rush... Too many good games to play anyway. FF Remake and Rebirth look good too, but I'll wait for PC release anyway on the second and the first one is a bit too expensive for my taste still (again, considering my backlog). Also picked up Balatro and Cult of the Lamb, both of which I think I could play on the steam deck, but haven't gotten around to them yet.
Thanks, dude! And I passed on Detroit initially as well but now am slowly working through it like a good book or something. A LITTLE depressing to be sure, but hey, the best sci-fi offers a reflection of humanity, a la Black Mirror, no? As for Returnal I have it and have beaten the first boss as well sometime back but haven't, eh, well returned to it quite yet. that's a TOUGH game! As for FF can't blame ya waiting for the PC release since that's inevitably going to show up sooner or later.
@@YourPlayer2 yeah returnal is pretty tough... I couldn't get past the first boss for a long time actually. The first time I did, I actually went all the way through and "finished" that run (it's not the end of the game though but won't say more). Still working on it but it can be quite demoralizing at times... Just got killed at the end of a really long run where I was really well upgraded but then this monster appears and I don't even think he's technically a boss but he just wrecked me. Apparently it's a notorious point in the game. Going to suck going through all of the game again and upgrade everything as far as I can again which takes hours (on my slow meticulous speed)... Just for one more attempt. Still going to do it though as the game is awesome 😅
Sadly my steam deck is currently stuck on a page that says Verifying Installation. So, I’m back to playing my switch until I figure out how to fix that. I did finally jump into Stray on my PS5 though. Kinda fun.
I have bought a lot of games on my PS5 but I just barely finish the games that are about to leave the Game Catalog and that is all I play. Currently, struggling to finish Chicken Police Paint it Red!

Jokes aside, it's good that you took some time off to just chill and not just play for content creation! I don't understand the outrage about Stellar Blade... Does anybody remember Lara Croft? How about Bayonetta? Never mind the fact that the protagonist can slice people in half like butter, but hey, let's just focus on how she looks instead and be offended online! I still have to go back to Rebirth as I put it aside for Unicorn Overlord and now that I'm done with it, I was still in a Tactical mood so I finally decided to start Triangle Strategy and I'm having a blast! I'm a huge fan of Dragon's Dogma. Played the original back in 2018 and since then, I have completed the game four times on different consoles (Steam Deck, PC, PS4, and Switch). Bought DD2 day one and I was definitely saddened to see my RTX 3070 not being able to handle the game, since it is CPU intensive. I have not put any hours on the game yet because of this, just waiting for Capcom to improve performance, but it doesn't seem like this is coming any time soon... Quite upsetting to see such a contender to game of the year and a game that I hold so dearly completely destroyed by performance issues
I didn't get around to it until the Switch release myself but doubt I'll finish it since I'm so engrossed in 2 at the moment! Sorry to hear about the 3070 struggling but maybe they'll do some more performance patches soon?

I’ve put 5 hours into the stellar blade demo. In that boss battle mode alone. Super fun just messing around with that boss
