    My grandfather was RAF during WWII and this was the weapon he was issued with.

    This revolver was used by french army in Vietnam to 1945 to 1954. And also the Smith and Wesson military and police model 10

    I just found one of these with the plastic grips, but it has a flat brick red brownish paint job on it which I know can't be original.

    My father has a colt that looks exactly like that but the grips are wood, what is it?

      I’ve seen .455 RCMP guns with wood grips and a lanyard ring, (not 100% sure about the ring).
