Thank you! I can’t believe that your video is the only one I found for how to change the brake light bulb in a 2013 Malibu! As popular as the car is, you would think there would be more! Thank you again. 😊
@@susansmallacombe3098 I totally agree, I was a bit surprised myself. That's why I posted this one. I'm glad this video was helpful. Have a great summer!
Thank you for the video. I have a 2014 and my brake light went out on the same side. The passenger side. They sure make things difficult when it can be so simple.
You are very welcome. Glad the video helped. I'll be putting out a video on how to swap the car battery soon. What a pain in the butt. But doable for us that don't mind their hand getting a bit dirty.
You took the scary & unknown and turned it into self fix I'm sure I can handle. Sure was simpler in my younger days when you could remove 4 screws on the lens from the outside and walla. Your much appreciated 👍
It sure did. You made everything super simple didn't have to think really lol good vid man definitely a subscriber. I love watching car videos so whatever ya post just know I'll watch it!
Hi JS, sorry for the delayed response. All you have to do is twist the bulb holder a quarter of a turn and you'll hear a click and the holder comes out. Pull off the defective bulb, insert good one and reverse the steps.
Can't seem to figure out the license plate marker bulbs for my 2013 Malibu. I thought I could get to them from the outside, but maybe I have to try going through the trunk as well. Any idea?
I don't have a video but yes, you will have to replace the bulb from the inside. Same concept, just carefully remove the inside lining and you should have access to the bulb. Good luck!
@@rookdawg I was able to change the marker plate bulb. Its actually from the outside for the license plate bulb. You need to jam a flat head screwdriver in this slot and wiggle it until it comes free. Took 10 secs on one side and maybe 40 sec on the other side but you can get it from the outside. Thank you for your help though. It seems to be the only bulb you can access from the outside of the 2013 Chevy Malibu.

Do you know which color is the positive for backup camera?
Hi Dan, sorry don't know. This was for the brake bulb replacement. I haven't tinkered with the back up camera.
Thanks

Oddly enough, after doing this on a 2014, my car wouldn't start. Is there any relationship?
