As a Keqing main, I don't know what to think about her voicelines. I idle w/ her a lot and have mained her for a while, but I don't hate her voicelines. That is just my opinion though.
Can't even blame you for placing Itto at the top. Max Mittelman really crushed it with his voiceacting for Itto. You can never really tired of it coz it's so full of life and it's funny.
Not a single part of any of the three of them annoys me in the slightest, I love his personality to death.

Actually I like diluc's because he doesn't tell us to move around but says that we could rest.
I love the “sure, we can rest a bit” and the guild one, but every time he passive-ageessively tells me to bring the KoF with me next time I swap to Kaeya and I’m like “guess what, your brother is here too, ungrateful bastard” (he’s my favorite character, that’s why I find him ungrateful hahaha)
I love his voice lines, maybe I'm biased but I just love Diluc in general

Getting told to "bring the knights a favonius next time" dominated my early play. I always wondered why given their rocky relationship. Until i pieced together that we're idling and he feels the knights are useless and inefficient. What a jerk.
I always took it as a "bother them, not me" kinda thing, which is very similar to your interpretation lol

I love his voice line when it's raining "I don't need an umbrella, but you can use one if you want"(might not be 100% accurate I have a bad memory) The way he says it just feels so childish to me. It sounds like he's trying to act tough by not using an umbrella but then not wanting to shame you for using one. Idk might just be looking too much into this but I think it's cute
I'd say what makes a good idle line is how it lends to the immersion. The reason Itto, Klee, and Childe's voice lines are so good is because it feels like the character talking to you; They're in character and treated like a conversation. I can absolutely see Klee and the Traveler walking through Mondstat as the Spark Knight reads her rules from Kaeya to them, or Childe leaning boredly against a tree as the Traveler runs off to chase a boar *again.* Kazuha, Albedo, and Zhongli's are middling; they're in character, but they aren't conversational. Kazuha's I can see being a conversation starter, but that doesn't work because the traveler can't respond, and Albedo and Zhongli are blatantly talking to themselves. Keqing, Aloy, and Raiden Shogun's are absolutely horrendous because yeah, they may be kinda in character, but it's very obvious the game is trying to get you engaged. Aloy's is the worst by far-- if you played the Horizon games, you'd know she's far more than a hero who's always running to find the next person to save.
But yeah those were just my thoughts. Good tierlist 👍
I think that's the biggest problem with Eula's idle voicelines. There's nothing wrong about her character and her origin as an aristocrat in itself, that's quite the nice backstory. But her voicelines just try to drive the point home even though you already know all that shit about her. There's no natural reason for her to mention all that over and over again umprompted (unless she has issues of course).
I’m kind of more ok with “talking to yourself” lines. Heck, the kind I most enjoy are like reflections on the pause. I especially like Ayaka’s “how greedy of me,” since it really seems to capture her character.
Which line is Zhongli talking to himself? He seems to talk very similarly to when he was sort of our guide in Liyue.

As someone who mains keqing... Alright, hear me out... You've just finished your commissions after farming domains and condensing your leftover resin, you try to gain that last star you're missing from spiral abyss just to fail miserably like the entirety of the days before... You're really eager to keep playing but you don't have any resin... You stand there for a while and then decide to open the map, there, that plus sign besides your resin stares at you... You click on it, you don't have any more fragile resin, you've spent your weekly transient resin on Monday's bosses... The only thing left is that evil looking Primogem option... You start thinking: "yeah I have enough wishes saved for - - -, I can spend a little bit of Primogems", you're about to do it... The unthinkable, but then...
*COME ON, ENOUGH PROCRASTINATING, LET'S GO*, you've remembered, you have IRL work you haven't finished, no... SHE remembers... You finally snap out of it... And you decide to quit the game for the day... It's so sad how perfect everything about Qiqi is except for her gameplay. Her gameplay isn't even that bad, it's just slightly undertuned. With energy generation on her skill and shorter cooldowns, she'd be quite good.
I'm still using her, I don't care.
Yess! I'm finding her quite good as a physical DPS and emergency healer because her movement is so fast and snappy, I forget that not all sword users are this coordinated besides maybe Keqing

I'm currently leveling my Qiqi as a support for Razor. There's a niche where I genuinely believe that she's the best character for the job. She applies cryo for superconduct, heals and does not force Razor into a circle on the ground as Diona or others would.
Qiqi is actually a great character, after you get her to C1 that is. Since she becomes an energy generator as well as a phenomenal healer that pops for 30k each time the bubble comes live

I'm still grinding clam for mine. I've read that superconduct can actually increase the damage of the bubble? I'm playing my Qiqi alongside Razor, so that would be pretty awesome.
I still use her even at ar54, Her attacks are really fast and because of that she can deal high damage to a frozen or melted enemy or with her talisman
I dont mind Ayatos idle voicelines at all really, BUT IF I HAVE TO LISTEN TO HIM SLURP ON A STRAW ONE MORE TIME I MIGHT LOSE IT

I play in jp dub and it's sounds much calmer there.
CN Xiao sounds so pained it still hurts me every single time he starts screaming :( I got used to EN Xiao, but I don't think I can ever get used to CN Xiao-

I really enjoy Ayaka’s “how greedy of me” line. It captures her character well and kind of embodies what I want from an idle animation, a character reflecting on a spare moment. Now, if we could still ditch like half of the blade lines, I’d be really happy...
I’m so numb to Venti’s voice lines because I hear them so often. It was great to really give them another listen because I definitely agree the delivery is fantastic

there should be just more delay between triggering idle voice lines, I doubt no one complained about it in their survey, so I guess, it works as designed
I've always advocated for a frequency slider for these, it gets ridiculous when every 5-10 seconds they're saying something, like just chill.

Max Mittelman really sells the absolute hell out of Itto's character with his voice lines and that's a huge reason I think he's such a great character (aside from the fact that Ushi is adorable.)

Ehhh they are on the edge for me. A little too long for my taste. Short and sweet is where it is imo. But I will admit that I enjoyed them most of all idle voice lines when I joined the game.

To me Diluc's voice lines are all relatively comforting. He was my first 5 star and I still consider him my main dps but since I use friendship teams in overworld to get every character to friendship 10, I rarely hear them, I mean its not like I idle in spiral abyss lol. Maybe its the nostalgia from my first days of playing that find a warm spot in my heart for them.
Honestly I wasn't expecting OSMANTHUS WINE (I mean Zhongli) to be that low in the tierlist, but well. Oh and BTW cool new outro (Edited here : What i meant was this nice photo with all the socials) I really like it :D

Idk if you're calling zhongli osmanthus wine cause it's so iconic even in a different context or if you just skipped the intro.
Osmanthus Wine line is not a idle voice line though, it's part of a idle animation.

I think Osmanthus wine's problem is that he sounds a little loud for what he's saying. It's not the chill voice you'd want from an idle line like that.
Itto's VA just nails it every time
I was not bothered by idle voice lines that much but what was driving me crazy were the reaction voice lines. For example, Childe's comments when dashing. Or recently, Zhongli's monologue every time you teleport in Dragonspine. And he even says it with every single teleport, not just when you get there from outside.
If they used them sparsely, something like up to once an hour, I'd be fine with them. But getting to listen to them all the time was too much for me and I now play with dialogs muted. Combat felt strange at first, I was kinda missing those battlecries but it wasn't that hard to get used to it.
The absoluty worst is Kokomi's dash for me. There's nothing wrong with what she says, but her voice sounds even squeakier than usual. It kinda sounds like they sped up the audiofile.
WE SHOULD LOOK FOR A PLACE TO TAKE SHELTER. I'LL BE FINE, BUT WE DON'T WANT YOU CATCHING A COLD.
I find Yae Mikos "right here, right now" everytime she uses her skill to be annoying AND I DONT EVEN HAVE YAE MIKO!
THIS is why I can't travel the overworld with Kaeya. I don't think any character I have talks while dashing as much as he does and it drives me insane.

Tbh, if it weren’t for the Knights of Favonius passive-agressive line, Diluc would be one of my favorites. He soft and chill, he even offers to rest. But given that he’s my favorite character and has been my main for over an year now, that line makes my blood boil because HOW DARE YOU, ungrateful bastard. So now almost every time I have him on overworld I bring his brother along and swap to Kaeya when he talks about the KoF just to annoy him HAHAHAHA

Ganyu and Albedo were always my favourites in terms of idle voice lines. They're just pleasant to listen to.
Sadly, when you're fixed with Opulent Husk, you'll rarely put Albedo in idle state.

Yae Miko is my favorite character particularly because of her idle voice lines and animation, so I’m happy with your Yae placement. :)

@@ShadowDoesCringe I think a most of her voicelines are good. She's the perfect example of a really charismatic character that's really cool in game, but in real life you'd probably want to follow Gorou's lead and stay away from her.
There are so many characters here that are higher than I thought they'd be because I forgot that their voice lines that annoyed me the most technically counted as idle performances. I hate Hu Tao's hilichurl song with the burning passion of a thousand suns.
I don't think I've actually heard the term "idle performance" before. I've always just heard "idle animation" when talking about this.
Also, hilichurl song is awesome. :P

“come on, enough procrastinating, lets go” has got to be my most heard voice line. Most of my friends use keqing and when we co op, i can hear that 24/7
I play in chinese but I would like to say that venti and albedo are by far my favorite. Even though I usually play them the most in the overworld, I will probably never get tired of venti wistfully thinking of cider, and albedo wanting to sketch. I also sometimes use kazuha, but not as often as the other two. His one about blades is kind of long though, and venti sounds a bit better to listen to. Hu Tao is also fairly high in my ranking, I think the the client line’s funny, and she actually sings the bathe in sun/moonlight line. I don’t leave most characters to idle other than those four, so that’s pretty much it

I’ve used Raiden ever since her first banner and I can say her voice never gets old. The tone in which she says it never feels like its intruding, its like ambience. I have heard it enough times to memorize it, but it still never annoyed me
I love Klee’s lines, I heard them non stop because she was my first 5 star. I swear if you ask me to recite all her lines I will happily do so
Itto's good morning line has been my alarm tone ever since. Hearing him tell me morning sunshine makes me giddy and in love.

the only line that mildly feels repetitive to me is the counting one
but I don’t really care, meanwhile I’d say I agree with Keqing being annoying
but I don’t mind aloy as much because I don’t hear it too often and her voice just goes through me less

It took over a year for me to finally get Keqing. She was the reason I started playing and the character I wanted most. But my god, her voice lines are brutal and I stopped playing her within a month of getting her lol.

The few placements I totally disagree with:
Kokomi: I loove her English voice. She's got that unique tone in her voice and just because of that I love it.
Hu Tao: I hate her English voice :). Especially in comparison with Japanese or Korean, I don't think her English voice suits her. Also when the sun's out, when the moon's out... yo when the sun's out I switch to Japanese.
Mona: Would probably put her even lower. Her lines are sooo boring and, again, I dislike her English voice in comparison to all other languages.
Qiqi: Probably my favorite. Love her voice and her counting line still makes me laugh
Klee: Nah, don't like her voice very much; 17 damn seconds. And it's boring 17 seconds. Nah
Also I don't have Itto, but yeah. I see that. Max Mittelman just doesn't sound like he's voice acting. He stutters, has some weird timings, it sounds like he just said these lines to get into character and they took em. Probably the best English voice

Diluc was my first five star and naturally my first DPS. So I heard his quotes a lot. Two of them annoyed me so much to the point I would answer angrily. "No diluc I'm not taking a break I want to play the game!" But I can imagine kqing would be very annoying.
Interesting I never heard the EN voice of some characters so it’s also nice to know what you like
I like how one of Venti's idles is him playing a song on his lyre
In case if you rank idle animation in the future, the song Hutao sings is actually a Chinese nursery rhyme, and a VERY mess up one at that. But in the English dub they just reduced it to a simple baby song.
Just look up "10 Rabbits". It's hiluchurls in Hutao's song instead, but everything else is the same
Well for Aloy she has no choice but to move since she has a world to save and she has a deadline of a few months before it's destroyed

Last I played, I use CN voiceover. Can't understand a single word, but it did fix the dialogue lipsync. Helps me bear with zhongli's and makes ganyu's cuter too.
I think you should consider doing a tier list on character idle animations.
Keqing Yoimiya and Hu Tao are at the top for me, Idk why I like Keqing’s I just like her voice, Yoimiya’s purely because of the pet goldfish one, and Hu Tao because I just love her

i’m curious what you would have rated the japanese ones, for example hu tao’s off-key mumble-singing in jp (not the hilichurl dance, the idles where she just speaks normally in english) is something i can 100% see people hating but i love it for some reason
and of course, yanfei’s japanese voice is just beautiful to listen to
Well (hi I'm back again I just think these are fun and also I like to puzzle about where you might have put the new guys) the thing about the idle Actions rather than lines is that they're -usually- interuptable. If you don't catch it quick enough some of them will keep going. If you don't interupt kazuha's grass whistle before he toots it he keeps tooting it animation-less. But because they're interuptabke they're infinitely less grating, because you do actually have control over whether you have to sit there and listen to it aside from swapping characters
Childe was my first 5* but i cannot play him without muting everything.

I love the voices of zhongli, raiden, childe and albedo so whenever they are in my team I put them on idle :D I just love listening to them 😅

revisiting this after tcg has come out, childe's voicelines are extra hilarious when we're just idling in the cat's tail and he says "this place is pretty dead... by which I mean there's nothing to kill"
I like to imagine we just waltz into a cat cafe with a fatui harbinger and he says that within earshot of all the poor patrons just trying to play a fun card game 😂
Ye, Itto's voice and personality FTW. I never get tired of Itto's voice lines. But ig im REALLY biased towards itto's english VA.
If I had to pick second, counting off of who i have, it would be Childe. Even if I dont like him as much as itto, not even close, i for some reason love when character is simply being homicidal yet so casual and his idle lines made me crack a lot.(plus used him the longest before itto)
....Sudden usage of "Anata no Terebi ni Jika net Tanakaaa~" made me laugh more than in should have, even if i knew itto coming.

mona was my 1st 5 star so i have all of her idles memorized💀 surprisingly i dont hate her or her idles i dont like it bc ive heard it for months on end but it doesnt drive me too crazy
i expected itto to be in the first place yomiya was a surprise thought she well be a bit higher but am happy you agree with the voice lines with klee and qiqi
