You might wanna check 900BRZ's video on FA24 oil starvation issues, this engine loses oil pressure when lifting/braking and turning right at the same time and a couple of engines already exploded because of that. With all those automotive greats gathered around the Nordschleife (and your media reach) I bet you could help the community to solve this annoying issue of this otherwise great car.

Yes this oil starvation issue needs to blow up big!! This car was advertised as a fun daily you take on a track. The last part is literally killing every engine in this car right now...
Oil pan baffle, 5w-30 oil, oil pressure gauge. Minimum 60psi of oil pressure in normal operating situations around right hand bends (high 50s if youre really pushing hard.)
But thats dozens more psi of oil pressure at any given moment, as well as, the 5w-30 isnt the consistency of water after 1500 normally driven miles. Plus theres ofc the RTV unseating and clogging things issue but thats solvable by ones self
@@RedMo46Link to info? Bc as far as I know this issue is still in the process of being resolved. I havnt seen a single youtube channel that has a working solution just yet. Although many working on it.

About the new diff cover. Have you ever seen BANKS stuff on it?
That flat back kills any flow inside the diff, created more drag and aerates the oil

Hi Misha. Good to see your GR86 is in good hands. If you can, buy some titanium bleeder for the Brembo caliper cause the stock ones tend to breake.
@Misha Charoudin - Great content, I have a 1st gen BRZ and was wondering if a strut tower makes a difference in handling. Did you guys notice a difference in handling after installing it on your car?
After installing the diff I found out that I can put a larger sway bar at the rear since it has more capacity now. I replaced both bars but the rear got increased more % wise. Removing some anti-squat is great too.
Any noticeable difference in performance?
@@PBrooksSawyer It changes everything, it's not the same car anymore with a clutch pack installed, you need to redo the setup completely, the stock unit has zero performance when you need it so it's not that hard to beat, at the limit OEM is very unstable and dangerous by it's inherent design, with this upgrade the car finally has the stability it deserves, I would never want to push hard without it.

0W40 oil is very thin for Nurgurbring. Better 5w40 oil .

@Kristof910K damn that sucks, I live in Belgium about 3 hours drive to the nurburgring, but that doesn't stop me from tracking my polo gti 6r from time to time 😂
Indeed, would be totally wasted on most streets. I'd have the Wachauring nearby which is a tight small track, but would probably be lots of fun with this car with these mods.

The Megane3RS brake calipers look good on the car. But, how will you mount it? I want to get the megane3RS calipers too but can't find anyone selling the adapter bracket for GR86.
Atomic-shop will have adapters soon available. For sti brake discs

The clutch pack diff makes the most difference, it's a completely new car afterward.

I have a question: what exactly do you need to declare or pay to tüv for approving a modification? I would like starting to modify cars in the future so I just wanted to ask you since you seem up to speed on the topic
i also wanna learn about that topic because i myself got recently my own car and want to maybe lower it or do other modifications
Use parts that already come with a TÜV certificate or don't require one. If you don't, getting the mod registered / legal will be tough and expensive.

Is it also necessary to change the tie rod end(with longer ball joint) to complete the roll centre correction mod?
They are missing a lot of things... the roll center correction kit does work, the only thing necessary here is the differential imo.

I need to check, the calipers were 900 I believe. The pads half of that or so. Discs need to check
@@mgcharoudinmegane 3 calipers can be had 2nd hand for 200 a piece of 300new for one. then the pfc discs are 1000. and then pads, around 400 for some good pads

Better 5w40 for Nurburgring. Some 5w30 oils are very thin too.

Still, I think I'm probably getting the short end of the stick in this deal, because I didn't see anywhere that it's random draw, so unless I read otherwise I'm gonna assume the "winner" has already been chosen, meaning they'll just give the car to one of their buddies, or someone marketable with a large social media following that they can continue to receive marketing off.

But wait. I thought the GR86 was this handling "beast" right out of the box? Why the need for so many upgrades? LOOOOOOL
Misha noted on the first drives that it can do with more camber, at least. As for the rest, it's just going to turn an already very capable car into an absolute weapon.
It is terrible from factory but that's mainly because it has no clutch pack differential.
0 weight on a track car…hmmm. Would not be my choice.

Can you instal meth injection on any car?
Yes, but on this car if you stay NA it will gain like 15hp... If you go turbo + meth then build the engine up if you want to actually use the car on track.
