@@Reason756 Actually, considering how many sales they've produced, I don't think it was bad marketing for the average person. Car enthusiast including you and myself don't like what they did. A mustang isn't a mustang unless it has 2 doors and a combustion engine. The good thing is, car enthusiast know the difference between an ev "Mustang" and a V8 mustang. Therefore we shouldn't care as long as we have a V8. The story would be totally different if they took away the real mustang.

Here's a fun experiment, try to find me a turn key, 500 hp, race series ready, brand new RWD racecar for less than 6 figures. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't even sell one of these at a dealership 😂.

The dorkhorse is built ford proud and the gt350 is built ford tough. Also the gt350 had more hp back in 2016!!!

That's like assuming because the mach-1 existed for the s550, that they couldn't make a gt 500. There have already been very aggressive s650 Shelby prototypes spied testing on public roads.

Buy a brand new car, and then replace all the comments with high end racing parts. I'm willing to bet you couldn't get it done for less.
People have already researched this man. If you were to buy all the components of these new race cars individually and build it yourself, a 60k Corvette or mustang would have like 200k worth of individual parts in it.
@@themidnighttavern6784 I never said anything about trying to build one cheaper I'm just stating the fact the car was essentially built for the average American and has since grown a favorite among blue collar enthusiast. Now turned into a spec sheet built for essentially a very small percentage of individuals that could even afford it. This was Ford's answered to the EPA a few years ago or less trying to ban any modifications to stock vehicles or vehicles with VIN numbers. As far as I know that Bill did not pass. Since Ford in most manufacturers are forward-looking this car has already been on the books for some time.
@@KEN-du2iz Bro, it's a race car, not a production car that takes elements from racing cars but it's still street legal, a literal race car that you can't even drive on the streets. Every single race car I've ever seen is six or seven figures new.
You can still buy a brand new mustang for 30 grand. I don't understand why you're complaining about the price of a race car when the road going car that you and I buy is still pretty affordable.
