    this is a really good list! I'm taking this deck to regionals on sunday and i have been struggling with ratios so this helped a lot with helping me know what i want in the deck.

    Fire king can still go into snake eye by popping old kirin. Old kirin when it is popped sends a fire monster from deck to grave, which you can send ash and then go into princess to summon the ash. For poplar you can run dramatic snake eye chase so you can still get the snake eyes diabellstar without losing your fire king island

      @@Redbri3 good call. I'm not sure if that's worth though as the Snake-Eye cards can't bridge into the Fire King cards (saw 1 combo but it was not reasonable and super easy to interrupt). Also you lose the Wanted Engine as a starter. The negate is nice but not with the lack of consistency and all the deck/extra deck space.

      @KemorTCG Agreed, the build I am testing now has no wanted engine at all and it does feel pretty vunerable. I may make changes as I test more

    I play a lot more XYZ rank 8s, but I do like this build. Im still a little iffy on theosis since the link board is just so much better. But kinda what you were saying, xyz plays are better than no plays so I'm gonna try running it at locals tomorrow! Great video.
    PLEASE tell me where you got that mat. Liked and subbed for your time.

      @@BobbioAdam thank you very much and good luck and custom hands for your locals 💪
      Yeah the XYZ lock does suck but consistency is key. If I can avoid it then I just use it at the end of my combo to put another Kash name on the board. Also you're right about the rank 8s. The are too many good cards you could play, especially Hope Harbinger, Dingirsu and a 2nd Garunix. I even contemplate a 2nd Promethean Princess with that many decks running the Kash cards.
      The mat is a funny story. I played at a ROTA pre-release event and packed a Fuwalos. The store had this mat (think it went for 40€ on cardmarket at the time) and many of the new ROTA cards in stock. So I traded in my Fuwa against the mat, 3x Ulcanix and a 2024 tin box.
      I think it originally was a price at the structure decks pre-release events.

    Great guide! I've been wanting to make a Fire King deck that's not Snake Eyes. I have a question tho. Other than summoning the Rank 1, there's no way to play under Nibiru right?

    • @KemorTCG
      @KemorTCG  6 дней назад +1

      @@DavidPimentel-g4g you could go into Photonlord with both the Garunix's instead of the link climb. Not sure if you'd be able to do that under 5 summons and you most likely won't be able to get the Princess in grave.
      Edit: starting with Ulcanix you can summon Photonlord in 5 summons if your Garunix pops Barong on summon for follow up. That was you basically have the Unicorn combo. The end board is weaker but plays under Nib. Barong searches Kirin to make Garunix in grave live after you detach him for the negate.

      @@twilightblaze2052 Absolutely right. I answered the question while on the train without thinking hte combo through. But yes I already edited as well. You can at least when starting with Ulcanix as long as you don't use the Garunix effect to pop a Avrata or Kirin from deck.
      Are there any other lines you're aware of?

    how would you feel about cutting the theosis, and lowering the amount of unicorns and planets? I personally found through testing that I preferred Fenrir over unicorn most of the time since the 1.5x combo with Fenrir doesn't limit you to xyz summons only since u can just normal rise heart and pop off from there. but overall it let me run more non-engine like the fire kaiju, kurikara, talents, nib. Personally, just felt like the bloated kash cards would make it awkward when I had like ulcanix in hand and unicorn but no fire to pop since I bloated my decks with non fires. I have it at 3 Fenrir , 1 unicorn, 1 planet, 1 birth and did well at my locals, but truth be told I haven't played too much since the ban list.

    • @KemorTCG
      @KemorTCG  6 дней назад +3

      You could surely play around with the ratios as this list definitely isn't solved. Right now my list has 16 starters (3x Ulcanix, 3x Ponix, 3x Fenrir, 3x Unicorn, 3x Planet, 1x Terraforming), which leaves you at a 92.27% chance to open a starter going 1st (17 if you count the pot and then 93,75%). This means going first you will eventually brick 1:18 games unless it's a hand with Sanctuary/Island plus a fire that can be salvaged but we'll ignore it to keep the math reasonable.
      Assuming you run 40 cards with the changes you propose you will end on 11 starters in 40 (3x Ulcanix, 3x Ponix, 3x Fenrir, 1x Planet, 1x Terraforming) which leaves you at a 81.95% chance to open a starter (though 8 out of these 11 are 1,5 card combos that you need to open with a fire monster which has a chance of 56.82% given you run the same FK ratios as I do & 3x Ash). This means going 1st you will brick roughly 1 in 5 games.
      You do reduce the amount of bricks by cutting Theosis (though it can be a neat extender at the end of your combo if oyu open Ulcanix) and reduce the chance to draw double Kashtira cards/monsters. You do this at the cost of consistency though. I personally want to reduce variance and want to keep the number of starters high. I'd rather up the deck count to 45-48 (48 with the same list and simply adding more non-engine leaves you at a 90.08% chance to open a starter if you include the Pot) than cutting a bunch of starters. You could just as well cut 2 Kash cards and end on 90,51% to open a starter.
      There are other implications for keeping Unicorn around as it is a neat extender for your regualr Ulcanix/Ponix combo and also offers insulation and baits handtraps. If you open wiht Unicorn your opponent either has to Impern/Veiler/Mourner it or they have to think very carefully about using a monster handtrap when you go first as you can rip out central combo pieces from their ED. Fenrir on the other hand is no threat to your opponent when you go 1st. They can just simply negate your Ulcanix and keep Fenrir untouched. Then you can also search Birth with Unicorn and use it as link fodder to later just recycle it.

      @@IcyWeissy No problem. Love to discuss decks and ratios. Originally I only ran 2x Fenrir but the Fenrir combo is as you said far better than the Unicorn combo. You might have 1 less card in hand but the end board is way better.

    too bad kash cards went 500% up in price the past weeks and i doubt they can survive another banlist with the way ppl splash them into everything... i'll try with just the small engine of 6 (3 field, 1 uni, 1 fen, 1 birth) i managed to acquire and see if they can help. thanks for the vid

    • @KemorTCG
      @KemorTCG  6 дней назад

      Definitely agree that it's not a real budget option. I picked up my 3rd Unicorn for like 3€ before the recent YCS' where it already went up, now it's at 7€+. Fenrir always fluctuated between 10-15€ here so it didn't go up much sitting at around 12-13€ rn. You easily need to spend 60-70€ for the Kash engine and then Ulcanix also costs 45€ as a playset.
      The real problem is that in all the fiendsmith decks that are running around right now Unicorn is straight up silly by generating a body for Moon, also recycling itself by searching Birth and also insulating yourself from handtraps because of the banish. In pure Kash or this deck it's completely fair, in Feindsmith or Maliss it starts to get silly good. Only upside is that Sky Striker Maliss seems to be the trend right now.

      @@dalewilliams4573 could do but they would mostly just look like the combos so I'm not sure if they'll actually help much. The combos of this deck are pretty straightforward going first. Playing on the opponent's turn and the order in which you resolve your interruptions is the complicated part. Going second it's a bit more interesting as well as you have to figure out how to pay into boards.
