      I visited B-team last weekend and after a brutal 1 to 1 session with Craig, I can confirm that he is indeed drilling penis gapes. He's anticiptaing a penis stomping meta to escape leg entanglements, so Craig said he remembers when John told him "Why do we not use 0.5-4% of our body efficiently?". He said he wants to be able to swallow any incoming feet whole, it's a superb piece of tactical play. I was in awe.

    Very interesting to hear Craig's evolution in his philosophy of grappling. I am wondering if he would of come to these same conclusions if he wasn't the grappling coach for people like volk.

      @@bryancjacobs for sure, same thing is when people are booing in an mma fight that is all grappling when I am sitting and analyzing every move. Jiu jitsu is the only art I have done where experience is really the best teacher, because when you see it, if you don't know what you are seeing like you said, its hard to know even where to start.

      in power rides he talks about how it allows you to control your opponents legs to keep them from being explosive or getting to their feet. This is why you see it more in MMA as a place to attack compared to side control.

    This is the old basic Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Get up! Its such a fundamental principle. Rickson trains this all of the time. I have seen Ryron develop a whole exercise routine for getting up.

    Oh my, Mr. Craig Jones perfect example to add to your "Do's & Don'ts" video. That is to make sure absolutely no chewing gum on the mats! A couple of times Craig would roll backward, spin, or bridge, and depending on the camera angle
    (from down UNDA) on those shorts, a humongous Pink bubble from a pack of your finest Aussie big-league chew just blows up at ya!

    love the idea about defending by making ur adv use his grip hands to defend fall when u stand, and i think is the same idea when you put your back on tatami, you will have hands and legs to fight his hand grips he'll have to lose it.

    In jiu jitsu we pin ourselves in guard by keeping two shoulders on the mat. Notice Craig never accepts this, he’s always on his side allowing him to build up and not be pinned

      @@MangoBums the belly down guy is in a bad position in several ways. But definitely part of it is they can’t fight your hands and build a base to get up at the same time. They have to choose one or the other. If they hsndfight then they stay pancaked flat, belly down. If they put their hands on the floor to build a base, then their neck is open to choke them.

      I think he means from an mma viewpoint and ruleset. Keeping someone pinned in sidecontrol limits your strike options and the striking power compared to half guard.

      half guard allows better control of their hips and there are options to prevent them from being able to initiate escapes using their legs like the turk and leg pins
