I was thirteen when i bought this lp. Now, i'm 57 and i still listen to it.
When i first heard it a few years ago i had no idea it was this old. I thought it was like 5 years old max at the time. It wasn't titled properly lmao. So reading peoples comments remind me just how retarded I was back then hahaha!!

that happened to me 2 years ago, my father passed away june 29, 2009. Instead of crying with this song i cry listing to my dads voice singing "Daddy's Home" through a CD he recorded. Know that your not alone and try not to be so sad of your father's death but be thankful for all the times you've spent with him. Some people have been through much worse situations.

I can really relate to these lines.
My dad used to blast music like this, in fact they feel up my earliest memories. For some reason, I had completely forgotten about this song- until my Chinese teacher started playing the Who and asked us to go listen to some because they are really good. I'm friends with his daughter, and we were talking about it the other night. So, she recommends this song. I listened to it and realized I knew every word. Suddenly, a flood of memories came back and here I am.

I know that some songs can be the same. I don't expect them all to be different. If they use a rift, I don't care and even if you say One Direction is better than the Who, that's fine as well. I remember my dad telling me on a radio station a long time ago John Lennon was playing songs and how they sounded the same and telling the people that's what musicians do, they borrow from other artists. I get that. If they just had a song, changed one lyric, that would be copying but it isn't so idc.
one of'em is a fan of the who? well that's no surprise bands often borrow from thier favorite bands i'm a fan of Linkin' Park and Nickleback and they both borrow (despite LP being an experimental band) from thier favs Nickleback borrows some from Motley Crue and other hard rock and glam rock bands and Linkin' Park has some of that 80's Hiphop rap style (which is good imo) but i gotta tell this girl ik that lol she'll probably be surprised about that as she likes'em too

The Who used the same rythem and beat style as Elvis and some of the other legends of 50's style rock music before they were drafted killed or quit (hence The Who is british and the british invasion brought in the modern greats) don't get me wrong the who r a great band and i love thier music to pieces but to say others like kids and watnot "borrow" from people with talent is an understatement imho as Nickleback (to name one) has talent and burrows from thier favs as well

idk about that have u seen them live? i have and i gotta say they DO (i saw them twice in concert) but none has as much talent as the old greats and to be honest Nickleback is a fan of them such as Motley Crue and the like and unlike most USA bands thier from Canada and any other country that produces bands usually have the best talent
