I am 63 now but I never forgot that night..their voices were so anointed, it was almost scary because I felt a euphoria that reminded me of how fans act falling out and screaming 😄..I didn't do that but the sound was so unreal, so perfect, so pure.. Memphis has always had powerful and anointed singers but to this day ,I've not experienced that feeling from hearing a song.( could have been my youthful heart )

After singing at that birthday dinner Vickie Winans (guest singer)got on their case about complaining about 'getting to old to worry about it' She said in so many words "talent has nothing to do with age!" Y'all need to record again!!! -y'all can sing!!! Pastor Remus is thinking about having us come down to do some reunion CD recording in the future.
We once was young, but now we're old! lol, The Savoy/Tyscott album recording artist The Pentecostal Ambassadors! All are great pastors now. Suff. Bishop Donald Golder and Thomas Hill are here in Indianapolis and Remus Wright is pastoring in Huston, TX. I was their keyboardist through out all those great years. We came together last night for Bis. Donald Golder's 50th Birthday dinner-it was great! The songs 'Hold on' and 'I Had An Experience' was our yearly recording hits.
WOW!!! I'm shocked to see this. I looked this up at random. I had no idae the Ambassadors were on here. I remember them back when I was a kid when Ezra "The Maestro" was playin' the organ for Grace Apostolic Church. I recall in '84 810 WGRT's DJ Sugar Poindexter would play "Hold On" "The Prayer" "New Beginning" ect. Those were the days. I always felt they should've gone national. I couldn'nt get enough of their music, 'cause it was so inspirational. May the Lord continue to bless them all.
Doc, I remember you all and Yall can SANG!! I'm from Gary and have heard no better group in the state (or neighboring). Yeah, We need to hear from the Pentacostal Ambassadors AGAIN...SOON.
I had this on vinyl back when I was a babe in Christ. I would appreciate it if you could post "I had and experience." Unfortunately I do not have this album anymore, but everyday I live God is creating experiences of salvation in my heart. Thanks for remembering and posting. God Bless. I'm still holding on 24 years later. He is able to keep you if you want to be kept.
Savoy Records has most of their label's old album recordings in the system now! (Apple Music, etc) They have our first recording 'Lord You're The One' & 'Touch Me' album Mp3's up and running. Sad to say, the old Tyscott recordings are not. Although Dr. Scott had the guys rerecord 'Hold On' on his new 'Feel Good' 40 Years CD.
That would be great to record again. Ya know?...I didn't pay attention to who's videos I was viewing but, is this you Ezra Bufford? Man I nevrr would've thought I'd run into you on here brotha. How have you been? When was the last time you seen/talked to Sis. Ruthie? I was in the Grace Youth Choir many years ago. Brotha let me tell ya, those were the best times I recall at Grace. I have alot of memories.
