Rooftop Hybrid PV System ; Design and Installation

A Hybrid Solar PV system is perhaps the most versatile and programmable configuration among the different available topologies in the Rooftop solar PV systems.
In the case of a Hybrid Solar PV system, generally we will have three sources of power supply.
1. Solar power.
2. Utility grid power.
3. Battery bank.
A hybrid system can optimize these three sources and deliver quality power to the load.
We have earlier shown a few similar projects on the working and setup of the Hybrid system.
This video is however a more detailed description on the design and installation of a Hybrid PV system. Here we have gone in detail about each component of the Hybrid system and tried to explain its design, safety, role and installation.

If PV panels are connected to charge controller. And Battery is the only input to the Xtender inverter, how does the inverter know when to feed back into the grid? Meaning, doesn't it discharge the battery to feed to the grid since it does not know what is coming from the battery vs what is coming from the PV array?
