- Well. this is my first animation. I did this for 10 months. during this time, my skill changed a lot, and the scenes were not drawn in chronological order, so sometimes you can see how the quality differs. I am both ashamed myself for this work and proud of it. I hope @ghostandpals doesn't mind that I decided to animate one of their old songs.

Honestly, the 'imperfect' animation really adds to everything. Those crackly movements, the spine, everything is terrifying and unsettling and fits Christopher's character so well. No one needs crisp animation for Crispy!
I also liked 2:29 a lot
I love how his own destruction of the mirrors left the shards scattered enough for the final spotlight to finish the job
His obsession with his reflection and compulsive destruction was what revealed who he really was

So let me get this straight. Christopher Pierre was basically playing a 1 vs many against some Mirrors and lost the battle after they hit him with the *DIVINE LIGHT*
close, his own magic, as he controls those mirrors.
he is a demon.
chris is really, an human who can turn into an demon under the right conditions, that being seeing his own reflection, he was trying to control himself, I guess.
I think this is the best ghost fan content ever. Honestly it's even better than the original pv. My mind is absolutely blown by this. Coolest in the whole world.

That "one, two, three, BREAK!" at the end was a fantastic finish to an otherwise already awesome animatic. There's a lot of fantastic scenes but that one was my favorite

god this is nostalgic. the sense of excitement and satisfaction of seeing him in motion at 1:13 after seeing the pv so many times is indescribable. love the artistic choices and props for committing to animating a full song
Dude, you have nothing to be ashamed of. This is actually kinda crazy. I'm just so shocked that, even though it gets choppy sometimes, you still stuck to full body animation and never switched to more of a pmv type thing for the whole song! Thats stuiped impressive! You even made sure to add and animate the wrinkles and made sure to shade with stippling, like dude! This is really impressive for someone's first animation!

I love this in a lot of ways: it slowly reveals that he isn’t the victim but the villain. This animation slowly plays into him becoming the villain without the kind of unique framing of the original. The words alone will make you think he’s innocent until the very end, but the mirrors show the truth.
That's literally his trait in the lore, and the way this animation shows this is amazing
@@IDontEatBugsOnMyToastThe original animation, in my opinion, does a more explosive reveal. This one slowly ramps into it. He’s much more charismatic, and the mirrors seem to genuinely shatter themselves purely to injure him, to burn away pieces of his flesh, increasingly becoming hostile. But you see the smirk, the fact that he actually swings first on some of the mirrors. He uses the mirrors originally to depict YOU as the monster projecting onto him. You feel sympathy. But the reveal is slow, and eventually you see that maybe something does not line up with what you’ve been told.
The movements and expressions in this were SO good! This is your first animation?? I never would have guessed! You did an amazing job, I can't imagine how hard it must have been to pay attention to how the reflections would look and also having to draw the clothing folds in every frame omg

its nice to see how you improved in those 10 months some of the shots are actaully very well drawn and suprised me in quality.
Ill just intepret the diffrence in quality in a way that the distortionists lies differ in quality and makes him sometimes look good to the viewer because he convinced us that he looks that good and sometimes we see trough the mask and see that he actaully not looks like what he says he looks like. Dont we love our own little headcanon?

HELLO??? I came to this video expecting. like- idk. like a couple short animated scenes or something interlaced with the original video. The amount of effort and skill this animation presents is astounding! shading, amazing line work, attention to the details of the original video and character, backrounds????, lip syncing??? the amount of small movements and actions that clearly must have taken so long to time and perfect, AND ITS YOUR FIRST ANIMATION????? I- How???? truly, i am astounded and overjoyed by the quality and skill of this. ? i wish i'd found this sooner, my god. great work!

The accuracy in the character design is incredibly impressive, the motion is crisp and for lack of a better word, clean. The character always looks SO GOOD and especially the fully ‘corrupted’ version of the distortionist, the fully corrupted version looks .

Honestly the animation is amazing. I didn’t even notice but I love how every time he gets hit with light, his skin in that area goes black and then you consistently draw him with the black patch afterwards

This. I happened to stumble across this major masterpiece, and I'm so glad I did. This animation is detailed, from the movements, the hands, the lip syncing, hell, the clothes, the smoothness of most of it, it's beautiful. Beyond beautiful, really, animation has always been an interest of mine and this really takes the cake for an animatic for a GHOST song. Perfect to me, it really shows emotions in parts, the dynamics are amazing. Props to you, my friend, you did phenomenal. I used to listen to Ghosts songs religiously years ago, so getting a recommendation like this really put a smile on my face. :)
For a first animation.. WOW!! The animation stayed consistent all the way even with how long it is! I really like how you drew the twist on their body. The backgrounds are also really nice!
All these remind me of my friend I used to have, we both really liked Ghost and their songs. If I remember correctly Candle Queen was her favorite song. I miss you a lot Smiler, hope you're doing good

БЛЯХАААА, в своё время была просто дикой фанаткой Криса, и блин, эта анимация походу возвращает моё восхищение над этим персонажем:") Это очень красиво. Не представляю, насколько было сложно столько анимировать, это же прям покадровка... Так ещё и рисовка такая детализированная...
Мне ещё очень нравится мимика Кристофера, прям видно, что он чуток поехавший:") При этом, он опять же очень красиво нарисован. А в моменты, где анимировано отдельно его отражение - вообще респект, этож надо было его заново нарисовать, причём похоже...

Даа , анимировать это было то еще удовольствие , несколько раз уже думал забросить и тд , потому что работал над этим буквально каждый день , можно сказать что на все 10 месяцев работы я отказался от собственных интересов в рисовании и тп , в один момент Крис начал мне снится ,было и смешно и страшно ) энивэй , читая такие комментарии я понимаю что все было не зря

At first I was a tad bit confused and weirded out by the bat being so bent up, but then I remembered that he probably uses it so much that the frame of it has been warped beyond recognition.
While I don’t think this is better than the original this is most definitely amazing work. Good job

Love it, I can tell you put a lot of effort into it. I especially liked the part near the end where Mr Pierre grows 4 extra arms, that was done really well. I did notice something with the animation, though, and I hope you don't mind me pointing it out.
Christopher's movements feel stiff. He doesn't move with his arms, like at 1:25 when he throws them up while keeping the rest of his body still, then winds up for a punch without rotating his shoulders or torso.
Even considering that, though, this animation is great, especially for a first. You're going places for sure.
