    "They opened for Coldplay"
More like Coldplay closed for London Grammar.

This is the one performance that Hannah's nervousness really come through and like other have already commented here this is a big part of why we are all so fond of this band - they are genuine!

fowlerboy120 Suspect she will always find live performing nerve wracking. Hopefully as she gets older she will be able to control those nerves.
Yes she is perfect nerves and all !

That is such a Tori Amos keyboard riff on that first song. Their songs are so pure, from the vocals to the understated, supportive backing. Thank God these artists found each other.

I love the way Dot seems to help Hannah with her anxiety. He keeps looking over at her to reassure her💙😊

rebecca seppanen they are a very close knit group. I think Hannah is over the worst of her stage fright these days. Saw them in Edinburgh in October and it was outstanding. All 3 of them are masters of their art. I hope they get more recognition for their second album. Ivor Novello #2?

I've watched her in many videos and she comes across as a perfectionist. The need to perform perfectly really stresses her out. In reality any imperfection just makes her performance all the better, all the more unique. I hope she learns to relax and just express herself, warts and all, learns to relax enough to really enjoy performances which will take her to the next level.

I love how these guys are so comfy with his own style and what they do on stage, like anything else exists in the universe. Just their art and expression. Obviously we can say every artist does that way, but specifically these ones, make me say it clearly. I love London Grammar.

The years have passed since this gig.
The group have progressed with every album. But the 2021 album "Californian Soil " is in my opinion their best yet. "America " track of the year
For me album of the year (plenty of competition too eg, LP , Wolf Alice, Low , Lana Del Rey , Marina, The Chills, etc.
ps Hannah has learnt to control her on stage nerves since this period .

How I hate the interviewer and appreciate Hannah's short answers. Most people just do not understand creative minds. Mine is not musically minded like Hannah's but more based upon numbers and shapes rather than sounds. While Hannah produces a sound that hits me emotionally, I will aspire to produce something equally brilliant in the unification of quantum and grant scale physics. I give you the Grand Unified Theory. I've been thinking about this my entire life, and I genuinely think I am almost there, unfortunatelty the answer and it's implications render us as worthless, useless objects :(

She's young with a long road ahead. I'm sure we will see a change in her stage presence the longer she performs.

She wouldn't be human if she wasn't, did it affect her performance or detract from the show. Don't think so.
This is a difficult venue, small brightly lit hotel room in what looks like the middle of the day.

    • @bencole8596
      @bencole8596 10 лет назад +10

She talks in interviews about having a really, really difficult time with anxiety during live performances. I think it only adds to her presence because it sets such a sharp contrast to the largeness of her vocals. She is just too lovely.
