Man I love Engl amps. Your tone is always killer when you play through them.
I am the proud owner of an ENGL Fireball 60, which can be considered a classic ENGL Amp nowadays. The Fireball 25 is also quite a little beast! ENGL Amps in general are enraged beasts!

The best feature of this amp is they’ve dropped the speaker sim of the lineout. For Recording it’s always bad to have a speaker sim prewired without the possibility to deactivate it. Giving a lineout without the sim is much more useful.
Oh thank god! Yeah the old ironball has a horrid "cab sim" on there that is completely unusueable. Either give us basically a DI out or go all in like on the ironball SE and put in a full IR loader
How does a DI loader work with it built into the amp?

2x12 for sure. Just more rounded, the low end is more pronounced. Just feels the room a little more. Hits your chest more evenly. Hope im saying it right🤣🤟🤟🍻
Finally someone else understands tone. Is this tone much better than the Ironball 20?

Every engl guy I know always recommends the fireball.
As a Rhythm Guitarrist, I play the ENGL Fireball 60. This one can be considered a classic ENGL Amp nowadays. I haven't played the Fireball 100, but I will eventually. For now, I save money in order to get myself the ENGL Savage 120 Mark 2 :) Now.. this one is a true ENRAGED BEAST in every sense of the word! Greetings from Germany :)

it's a shrunken fireball 120, the fireball 60 is supposed to be the best sounding. however it's different for everyone.
I bought one with a 2*12 celestion vintage 30. Is it enough to play small gig with a band ?
Yes. But these days i recommend getting a mooer radar in the FX loop and get that to the sound guy, and just use the amp as an on stage monitor. Every bar has a PA system anyways, and getting a good cab sim to the sound guy where you don't have to rely on their mic placement skills eliminates so much hassle. Much less feedback issues too. I saw misery index use ironballs live at a small open air festival, master was on like 4/10, sound was brutal.

for sure it's a beauty, i love it from an esthetic point of view. And love the demos for what i heared.
But before pulling the trigger, and knowing that 99% of the time it's headphone or recording, or very very low volume practicing ( with a blackstar fly 3 ...) i think this thing maybe overkill for my use.
Also it's difficult to know if i would not prefer a smaller print device like Two notes Cab M, or Iridium Strymon... thx for sharing if you have any advice.
This amp has a built in attenuator that goes down to 1watt. Perfect for low level playing.
I have this amp + a 1x12 mesa cab and i play quietly all the time. It sounds amazing and is perfect for quiet playing. Its also loud enough to play with my drummer friend.

I like it, but how does the sound hold up past half volume? I find lower watt amps kinda fall apart in louder band volume situations, feedback, power tube flub(EL84s), etc. but it seems gnarly. couldn't you line out into a big ass power amp and run some serious volume.
The Fireball 25 has 6L6's, so I'm hopeful it can stay together at louder volumes. I just ordered one, and a Fryette 1x12. I'll post a follow-up after I receive it.

Cab & Speakers?
I know that it might be stupid question as this Engl seems to be metal machine, but how this amp sounds in real live on clean channel? Is it really possible to get classic/vintage clean tones. How does it take pedals on the clean? I'm looking for versatile small amp that has good clean (also pushed with OD pedals) and can break windows with distortion on the dirt channel.

I can tell you about my ENGL Thunder 50 Reverb, it plays everything, from a not-quite-fender, but still SWEET clean channel, great crunches (great with only guitar-volume-poti back), you get that guitar-hero-80's tone easily...the lead channel...puuhhh...it's ENGLish!
Not too creamy, has edges, sure will help to cut through the mix, but with a good, balanced structure; open, and this mystic intermodulation in the very-low-mids...
With a pedal, i used a BLACKSTAR HT METAL, the ENGL-character disappeared and it sounded like my other amps with that pedal.
Highly recommended!!

Fireball destroys metal master. That's a solid state power amp with tube preamp. Fireball is aggressive full tube 6l6 monster!
@@shredaintdead9323 The Engl Metalmaster amp have two EL84 tubes in the power amp section. Why do you call it solid state power amp? Please explain.
Fireball. Metalmaster is great but if you're looking for just insanely brutal distorted tones, Fireball is what you want between the two.

the problem that I encounter with this kind of video is that the proposed tones are always, with, current tastes
. I am part of the death metal scene of the 90s and very often there is nothing for us. it would be nice to think of those, who are looking for older style tones, the first Suffocation (effigy of the forgotten) etc....

@@prometheusrising8767 Yes, the Fireball. But that's very subjective, you should try one first. It sounded nothing like in the many videos I've watched. For home - I am more than satisfied with the Neural DSP bundle. So amny amps, so many sounds. Now if you have a big house or a place to jam and play loud - go for it, it'll do the job just fine, but it's kinda one trick pony for me, not worth the pricetag either.
@@BoyanGeorgiev666 actually I am searching for a one trick pony with good cleans if its possible, i want to find a budget amp to use for my rhythm parts to be more massive and more rich. i use a blackstar id 100 and i am satisfied with the cleans and lead tones for melodies and solos but not the rhythm parts. I found that invective becomes fizzy so i don t want it but besides fireball25 prs mt15 seems like a good option too.

First of all: the original Schnitzel you probably know is from Austria... but that's just a side note.
It's very, very easy to make! You just need Pork Shoulder, a hammer, eggs, crushed toast, flour, salt, pepper, paprika, butter and a pan...
And finally: Ola is a swede. Sweden is much closer to Germany than the US of A... He probably hears the Engl-guys trying out their pre-series amps right from his living room... if he is very quiet (highly unlikely!!!) and if the wind is favorable.... :-)

A little fizzy in my opinion. German amps always seem to have this gurgle to their midrange that I love, but can get super fizzy on top.

Dude....if you're going to do a demo, then do a demo. Or, at least put in the title "For rivet-heads only". You went straight from demo'ing the clean channel (thank you for doing that much)....straight to the standard RUclips demo-use of WAY too much gain, while "chugging". You flew right past arguably the most important tones of high-gain amplifier evolution. The tones that led to amp's like this to being on the map in the first place. Is that because this amp can't capture the crunch, and pushed crunch tones, of the 80's? I'm not saying you need to spend an entire video on that era of music...but, at least show that the amp is capable (or not) of those tones.
