Indeed... And people should read the book of revelation with regards to what Israel means. It isn't 'The Jews', quite to the contrary those saying they are Jews are something entirely different, but those from the OT will resurrect and fulfil the promise.

I think there’s a misunderstanding about what it means to be “the chosen people”. It’s not about ethnicity, it’s about being chosen to complete a task. God didn’t create a new race of people, He created a nation. They fulfilled the task when Jesus was born, now the ones who are chosen to carry out God’s plan are those who believe in Christ. That’s my understanding at this time, as I continue to study scripture objectively. The main thing people need to focus on is the core gospel message. Just my thoughts..

@@TheNationOfTexas Indeed. It was genealogical in terms of physis onto Christ. And it had also some political and social bearing. But with the crucifixion it was transposed to the spiritual and those in Christ are now 'Abraham's Seed', children of the promise. Figuratively 'God's chosen people'. And it was always about grace, not about merits.

Amen, and the Gentiles, who are circumcised of heart, are grafted into the olive tree, while natural branches, who are not circumcised of heart, are cut off. Thus, Jew and Gentile both can be called true sons of Israel by the fulfilling work of the culminating and fully obedient Son of God, Son of Abraham and Son of David.

You are talking about an entirely different thing. Yes in Isreal God started his work and through Jesus and his disciples Gentils were grafted in but that doesn't make every single promise God made to Israel void. Essentially you are calling God a breaker of his promises by denying this. Being children of God and the promises of God to Israel are entirely separate things, you are clearly confused on this issue.

it would appear that the reconciliation of all scripture is to say that there WILL BE no distinction in Christ. It seems clear that the Church is grafted into the nation of Israel. Of course that is not recognised or acknowledged by the nation of Israel at the moment. It also seems clear, as John Mac points out, that at a certain point in future, the nation of Israel will recognise Jesus Christ as their Messiah and be saved. Then there is unification of the physical and spiritual, Israel as the chosen and saved people of God will incorporate the Church, those who have believed and been saved in Christ since His first advent.

Everyone needs to stop commenting until they have read Romans chapters 9-11. I’ve noticed few people discuss them together as a whole and it leads to confusion.
One side focuses on where Paul says “not all who are of Israel are Israel” and takes that to be the whole story. That’s not the whole story. Most references to Israel in those chapters are CLEARLY not referencing the church!

      New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary?
What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below.
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Romans Chapter 11: In its New Covenant context... There is no Plan B of salvation outside of the New Covenant Church in this passage. Plan A is found in verses 23 and 24.
In Romans 1:16 Paul said the Gospel was taken "first" to the Jews. This time period can be found in Matt. 10:5-7, and Acts 10:36-38, and Gal. 1:14-18. Many try to claim God never gave the Jews a chance to accept Christ, so there must be some Plan B of salvation before or during the Second Coming of Christ. Romans 1:16 proves they are wrong, since Paul said the Gospel went "first" to the Jews. Many ignore the fact that Peter addressed the crowd as "men of Judea", and as "men of Israel", and as "all the house of Israel" on the Day of Pentecost, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. The Gentiles were not grafted in until several years later. This passage proves Paul was right about the Gospel being taken "first" to the Jews.
Were all of the Israelites "partially" hardened in Romans 11, or were part hardened and another part were not hardened? The answer is found in the "remnant" of Romans 11:5.
Paul reveals two different groups of Israelites in Romans 9:6-8. There is an Israel of the promise, and an Israel of the flesh. This is part of the context of Romans 11.
Paul speaks about the "remnant" of Israel in Romans 9:27. This is also part of the context of Romans 11.
Paul starts Romans 11 with two different groups of Israelites. In verse one Paul reveals he is still an Israelite, even after his conversion. Then Paul refers to two different groups of Israelites during the time of Elijah. There were the Baal worshippers, and there was the faithful "remnant". In verse five Paul says there is also a faithful "remnant" of Israelites during his time. This must be the Israelites who have accepted Christ, as on the Day of Pentecost.
Paul uses the two olive trees as a symbol of the New Covenant Church made up of believing Israelites, and believing Gentiles grafted together into the same tree. The unbelieving Israelites have been broken off but can be grafted back in through faith in Christ in verses 23-24.
Verse 26 is the problem for many modern Christians. What does the verse actually say, and how is it changed by many in the modern Church.
I have heard two of our nations famous preachers say the following.
"And then all Israel will be saved..."
I have heard another say the following.
"And all Israel will be saved..."
What does God's Word, recorded by the Apostle Paul actually say?
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
The English word "so" is translated from the Greek word "houto", which is an adverb of manner, instead of an adverb of timing. Some have changed the word from "so" to "then", in order to change the meaning of the verse.
How will all of the "remnant" of Israel from Romans 9:27 be saved? The answer is found in the verses that precede verse 26 and are found below.
Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Paul quoted from the OT in referring to the Deliverer coming out of Sion to pay for sin. Did this happen at Calvary, or will Jesus die again for His people in the future?
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Verse 28 can only be understood by looking at how Paul started the passage. He started with two different groups of Israelites and he ends the passage in the same way. There are two different groups of "they" in verse 28. One group of "they" reject Christ and are the enemies of God, and another group of "they" are the election which accept Christ through hearing the Gospel and faith.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Based on Luke 21:24b-28, the times of the Gentiles comes to fullness at the Second Coming of Christ. This agrees with what Paul said in Romans 1:16 about the Gospel going “first” to the Jews.

They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, `They are my people,' and they will say, `This is our Great I Am.'" Not all of, is real, will be saved only 1/3. new creation in ..... 594 I understand the argument about seventy A.D. heard it before I have concluded, it to be erroneous. IMO what speaks against it, is that they, the juice, Did believe in the Great I Am (can't write the other titles from where I Am) at that time in seventy A.D., very much so and they followed the degrees He had given them, the ten degrees, and they were very diligent about not walking the steps on a day of rest, to act out, a tooth for a tooth, etc etc. But they did not understand the meaning behind their scriptures, they did not believe in the Son, but rejected the Son, they despised Him and saw to it that He was put on a +. So they, because they do not believe Are Not saved and are to this day going through the mire, but soon for the last seven years of the age of people self rule, the Heat of that mire will be turned up so much on them, and the unbelieving world, it is described in the Last book of the scriptures and in other books of prophecy. A peace deal will be signed, by the son of perdition, that starts the countdown, then the two witnesses appear in the streets of jeru and start preaching about the Son, one third of the juice and maybe the world too, will become believers, they will preach for three and one half years, then they will be terminated in the streets of jeru. Then the second half of seven years starts, very bad things will unfold on everybody going through the mire of Zech. Therefore then, at that time fulfilling Zach. and all other scriptures about the juice and the world, absolutely perfectly, the only way it all makes sense. After the seven years the Son will return to rule and bring His kingdom to the world. The Son said: I Am the Only Way, to be saved, everyone else will be jug ,,, ed and or go through the last seven years, depending on where they are at that time, here or in another realm already. The Son has been given all power, sitting at the right hand, He is One with the aleph tav, the Great I Am.

Jesus also says in Matt. 23:43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed." God still has a heart for the Jews and is setting aside a remnant of them for his own. In fact there are probably millions of ethnic Jews around the world who have become Christians. It is also NOT our place as believers to use any of this as an excuse for sin, hatred or anti-Semitic behavior and beliefs.

According to Christian theology Jesus was killed by the Jews research 'christ killers' even though I totally disagree with that as I am a Muslim and don't believe in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Jews also believe that Jesus was a criminal revolutionary and that Mary was a prostitute that slept around. As a Muslim this is deeply offensive to me as Jesus is our prophet and we believe Mary was one of the greatest women of mankind. Interestingly you cannot insult Jesus or Mary in Muslim countries its blasphemy and you'll loose your life at any attempt of doing so. Despite all of this it bewilders me to find out the Hate Christians have for us Muslims and they love Israel and the Jews. Furthermore historically Jesus was Palestinian born in Bethlehem. Where's bethelhem you might ask? Take a guess: its in the west bank which is occupied Palestine. Let that sink in for a bit. In your severe hate for Islam as Christians you have lost your minds in the process. Jews absolutely despise Christians. We Muslims don't and we do share the common love of Jesus and Mary. I hope you misguided Christians awakens and take heed before it's too late.

The existence of earthly Israel served no other purpose than to prepare for the Messiah's arrival, who had to descend from a specific lineage.
Thankfully, Abraham was humble enough for God to select him for this role. Just as the Apostle Paul said, everything in the Old Testament foreshadowed what was to come, including earthly Israel. Christians should abandon the erroneous notion of a "chosen race or ethnicity" that places one people above others.
Before God, there is no superior race or ethnicity. God shows no favoritism; instead, whoever fears and acts righteously in every nation is accepted by Him.

There’s no superiority or favoritism in the discussion. I don’t know where you got that from.
Read Romans chapters 9-11. I’ve noticed few people discuss them together as a whole and it leads to confusion.
One side focuses on where Paul says “not all who are of Israel are Israel” and takes that to be the whole story. That’s not the whole story. Most references to Israel in those chapters are CLEARLY not referencing the church!

Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body?
Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ?
(Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
    1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Paul’s interpretation in Galatians 3:8.)
    2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ?
    3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds?
    4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh?
    5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers?
    6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"?
    7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost?
    8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
    9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
    10. Watch the RUclips video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church.
Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology.
Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:

“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107.
Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323.
John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated…
"...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.”
    John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.)
What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16?
(See what Joshua said about the Old Covenant land promise in Josh. 21:43.)
Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth?
Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups?
Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and is it fulfilled by the blood of Christ at Calvary in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 12:18-24?
Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church, if the New Covenant is “everlasting” in Hebrews 13:20? (See also 2 Thess. 1:7-10) If the New Covenant has made the Old Covenant “obsolete” in Hebrews 8:6-13, why would God go back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period?

This alludes to a wall in the temple that partitioned off the Court of the Gentiles from the areas accessible only to Jews. Paul referred to that wall as symbolic of the social, religious, and spiritual separation that kept Jews and Gentiles apart.
15 one new man. Christ does not exclude anyone who comes to him, and those who are his are not spiritually distinct from one another. “New” translates a Greek word that refers to something completely unlike what it was before. It refers to being different in kind and quality. Spiritually, a new person in Christ is no longer Jew or Gentile, only Christian (cf. Rom. 10:12-13; Gal. 3:28).
Eph. 2:16 reconcile us both to God. As Jews and Gentiles are brought to God through Christ Jesus, they are brought together with each other. This was accomplished by the cross, where Jesus became a curse (Gal. 3:10-13), taking God’s wrath so that divine justice was satisfied and reconciliation with God became a reality (see notes on 2 Cor. 5:19-21). For more on reconciliation, see Rom. 5:8-10 and Col. 1:19-23.
17 far off and . . . near. That is to Gentiles and Jews alike.
Eph. 2:19 fellow citizens with the saints. God’s kingdom is made up of the people from all time who have trusted in him. There are no strangers, foreigners, or second-class citizens there (cf. Phil. 3:20). of the household of God. Redeemed sinners not only become heavenly citizens but also members of God’s own family. I'm curious how this view handles converts who have joined the Jewish people (עם ישראל). In Jewish belief, the convert is just as Jewish and as much a member of the Jewish people as any other Jew and to be treated as such. Would this view, in contrast to Jewish belief, try to distinguish between genetic descendants of Jewish converts and genetic descendants of Jacob? Whose definition of the Jewish people is being used? Do we gain by joining the Jewish people via conversion and then one day embracing the Messiah at his appearance?

    • @audiodrink
      @audiodrink 4 месяца назад

Great question. No i personally don't think so. Meaning I don't think there is any gain in converting to Judaism unless it is from non-belief in Christ to Messianic Judaism. If one knew not Christ before become a convert to judaism and thereafter was saved by putting their trust in Jesus Christ as the Messiah, then they ofcourse benefit. But an already born again gentile is no different (Spiritually) than a born again Messianic Jew when it comes to eternity in my understanding. This I believe is what the scripture means when it says there is neither Jew nor gentile. It doesn't rob the Jewish believer of their Jewishness but rather perhaps even grants Jewishness to the gentile in a spiritual sense. We together are the Children of God and will together rise from the dead as "the dead in Christ."
Nonetheless when intepreting scripture the "Church" and "Israel" still remain separate entities therefore in this interview of Pastor John MacArthur, I agree with what he puts forth.

John MacArthur is gaslighting with his characterization of the interviewer’s question as “supercessionism”. John MacArthur gives a definition of “supercesssionism”, and it’s clearly not what the interview said. Israel has not been replaced by the Church; they are one in the same entity now in Christ. One tree, with the same roots, but some branches grafted in and some broken off. Yes, a remnant of faith-filled Jews will be grafted back in after the “time of the gentiles”. All this is in Romans 11, Galatians 3, Ephesians 2:11-22, etc.

I'm so glad that we have Divines like John MacArthur now who can clearly show us that the Word of God was not preserved to us infallibly and that all of our Christian ancestors literally had no idea what they were talking about. That the Word of God was not communicated to them in defiance of the words of the Prophet Isaiah and that ever since 1945 we have FINALLY had true knowledge of our relationship to Israel!
Let me explain something: if Protestants, the same Reformers who had thrown off the shackles of Papism and alien domination, had come to some idea that the Scriptures told us we were all just Goyim Slaves to Israel and we should just be grateful we're along for the ride, then they probably would've started turning on Christianity as well. Who alive today can say without blush they have the intellect and knowledge of Scripture that John Owens, Matthew Henry, John Calvin & Luther had? Yet they never believed the kind of nonsense concerning Israel that now consumes the American Christian world.

Israel was special because they were part of the covenant God made with Abraham. We see in the New Covenant that the promise is fulfilled in Christ and includes anyone of any race as long as they have faith. I recommend reading all of Galatians 3 but here are some highlighted verses.
Galatians 3:7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
3:9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
3:29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
So true Israel is all of God's chosen (believing Jews and gentiles).

In Romans 8, Paul makes it clear that "all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God" and "not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel". Meaning, the true sons of Abraham (the sons of God) are those who have faith in God through Christ (whether they be Jew or Gentile), not merely the biological offspring of Abraham and Israel.
Paul's whole point in Romans 11:26 is that God's promise to save all of Abraham's children has not been proven wrong by the disbelief and rebellion of the Jews, because the promise wasn't made to them; it was made to Christ, the true Seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:16).
Thus, the promise that "all Israel will be saved" is fulfilled by the church because we're adopted by God through Christ, making us children of Abraham and fellow heirs of the Abrahamic promises to Christ (Romans 8:17). The church is Israel.

Once the veil is lifted and they receive Christ, they too, will become part of the “New Man,” the “Body of Christ, “His Bride,” ultimately all of redeemed humanity in the end will be “The Lamb’s Wife.” Dispensationalism isn’t about two different brides or modes of salvation, it’s about the timing of salvation for gentiles and Israel.

Paul never said..."All Israel will be saved." Leaving out one little word changes the meaning of the verse and is a corruption of God's Word.
Based on John 19:37 and Acts chapter 2, Zechariah 12:10 was fulfilled at Calvary and on the Day of Pentecost. Based on what Paul said about Christ returning "in flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel in 2 Thess. 1:7-10, there is no Plan B of salvation outside of the New Covenant Church in the Bible. All races of people need to hear the New Covenant Gospel now before it is too late for them.

You are correct. The word "so" is an adverb of manner. However, Dr. MacArthur is trying to change the word to "then", which is an adverb of timing.
Like many others, MacArthur is trying to use Zech. 12:10 to claim a future salvation for the "nation" of Israel. The word in Romans 9:27 is "remnant", instead of "nation". What is wrong with MacArthur's idea. Based on John 19:37, the "piercing" in Zech. 12:10 was fulfilled at Calvary and the Spirit was poured out in Jerusalem a few weeks later on the Day of Pentecost. MacArthur's attempts to separate Israel and the Church are revealed to be in error by the article below.

*Regarding John 19:37, I have found there exists a counter argument to your assertion that MacArthur is incorrect believing Zechariah 12 is pertaining to future Israel.
      Here in
REVELATION 1:7 "Behold he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."
Look at "mourn for him" in Zechariah 12:10. And look at "wail because of him" in Revelation 1:7.
These two scriptures are clearly parallels to John 19:37.
However John 19:37 says nothing of the mourning. And the scene at the cross suggests nothing of Israel mourning over Christ..."as one mourneth for his only son."
***In my opinion, it is clear that the mourning which is absent from the text in John 19:37, is absent for a reason.
The obvious reason being it hasn't happened yet.
A similar pattern to John referencing Zechariah exists when Jesus quotes Isaiah 61.
Both quote the scripture stopping mid verse and at a comma.
THE OT SCRIPTURE FOLLOWING THE COMMA IS DESCRIBING A FUTURE EVENT IN BOTH EXAMPLES (Luke 4:17-20, & John 19:37)
      Personally I'm 100% convinced.
      But its a journey.
*Disclaimer I'm not trying to attack. Just on a journey to get as much clarity out of the scriptures as I can and share my findings, discuss them and adjust my position and theology along the way as the Word of God corrects me.

The Book of Zechariah says that, in the very last days, 2/3 will perish in the refining fires and only 1/3 will be saved. So, we have a major contradiction UNLESS we realize that the verse "All Israel will be saved" is referring to the body of Christ (the Church).
For further instruction, read the ENTIRE book of Galatians... or at the very least, read Galatians 3. And take note that we don't need to pull an isolated verse here and there to make the point that in the instance of Romans 11:26, the term Israel is referring to all those who come to faith and repentance in Yeshua Hamashiach.

The nation of Israel broke the covenant God made with them; Jeremiah 31:31. So God made a new covenant, a covenant of grace. This new covenant was put into effect by the blood of Jesus Christ. When John MacArthur quotes the old testament passage of them looking on him who they have pierced, he misuses it because that prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified and was quoted by the writers of the gospels. John 19:37! But as the case seems to be some teachers add double meaning to prophecy. Oh yes it was fulfilled then but there is a greater fulfillment of it in the future! Just like the abomination of desolation that was fulfilled in 70ad some say there is an even greater fulfillment in the future! I don’t think so! The nation of Israel was rejected because of their disobedience. Read the parables of the vineyard ( luke 20:9-18) and the banquet ( luke 14:16-24)Jesus says in lukes gospel ( 21:20-24) ( 19:41-44). Abomination of desolation has taken place already! Some twist scripture to fit their premillennial narrative. Which includes a pre trib rapture. They say once the church is out of here then God saves the nation of Israel! My bible says that at the return of Christ the end comes (1 Cor. 15). Listen, if you belong to Christ and you study the word of God like we are commanded to you will see the truth. Problem is; too many take for granted that certain false doctrines are true because some world known bible teacher tells them something. We are warned over and over that there will be false teachers telling people what their itching ears want to hear! I suggest that you read through the entire new testament and write down every verse that specifically states that jesus is going to remove the church before a tribulation. When you are finished you will notice that you never wrote down anything. But also write down every verse that says jesus will return and raise up all that the father has given him on the last day and you will notice there were a number of verses that state that. But most professing believers don’t study

The greatest deception of church history is Christian Zionism and dispensation.
There is no anti-Christ, no rapture, no 7-year tribulation, no future Temple.
All fulfilled in 70 AD. The word of God was written to 1st generation believers for instruction for the times and warning of the future of God’s divorce from Israel through the events of 70 AD and the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. You don’t understand His promises. Jesus didn’t have to divorce Israel because He fulfilled His covenant with her unto death. He was free to institute a new covenant. That’s why Paul says we are not bound by the law (first marriage) and we are free to marry another. When Israel learns this, they also will die to the law and become partakers in the New Covenant with us. The New marriage.
“So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Being a spiritualy descendant from Abraham does NOT make you a Jew or an Israelite. In the physical, being a descendant from abraham does not make you a Jew, then why in spiritual sence? Abraham had Izak and 6 other sons later on. Al the 6 sons and Ismael and their DESCENDANTS are NOT JEWISH nor ISRAEL. Being Jewish is when you are a descendant from Jacob, which is called Israel later on by God Himself! Being grafted in doesnt make you a Jew either. You only partake from the blessings (sapflow) promised to Abraham in Christ. If you know how grafting goes: For example, if you take a branche from an Appletree and you graft it into a Peartree truck, does that branche give pears instead of apples? NO! It keeps giving Apples, but partake of the sapflow from the trunk. LIKEWISE, a Gentile being grafting in, does NOT make him/her a JEW!

I see it like this: When the Jews accept Jesus, they will come to know salvation. It doesn't give us any right to say that because hey follow judiasm, they are lost and irredeemable. Their redemption will come later but it doesn't make it okay for Christians to turn a blind eye to the Jews and their suffering, perhaps not the state of Israel, but to Jews in general.

Paul in Romans just got through making the point that because you are of physical decent from Abraham doesn’t mean that you are a jew, it’s if you have the faith of Abraham that makes you a jew or Israel! It’s not the son born in the natural way who is the heir, it’s the son born in the supernatural way that is the heir! Why would Paul change his mind and then say that all Israel will be saved means that all the naturally born descendants of Abraham are Israel? Israel is all those who the Father has given to Christ from the beginning till He returns on the last day!! Hence in Galatians 6 Paul uses the term “ the Israel of God”, which is the church!! The nation of Israel has been rejected, read the parables of the vineyard and of the banquet. Yes, there is a remnant just as there was in Pauls day! He used himself as an example! He also said he made alot out of his position as the apostle to the Gentiles in order to make jealous his fellow jews so that he might save some of them not all of them! God is saving through Jesus a people for His own possession out of every nation, people, tribe and tongue. This people, are the Israel of God!

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Here's another example, of a gentile and harlot, who came to the body of Israel, from the Old Testament supported by the New Testament...
    Joshua 6:25
But Rahab the prostitute and her father's household and all who belonged to her, Joshua saved alive. And she has lived in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
    Hebrews 11:31
By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.
Dispensationalists try to explain away the verse that says Rahab "lives is Israel to this day" as it meaning that her descendants still live there, rather than coming to the understanding that she was SAVED into the body of Christ Jesus.
Read the entire chapters, then read the whole books and bible to see how everything in the Old Testament points to the New Covenant which replaces nothing but is rather the glorious crescendo of all the old covenants into a "New and Better Covenant". God always upholds his promises and it's important to note that many of the covenants contain the "if you" statements from God.
There is only one Olive Tree and one perfect solution for salvation and eternal life in the perfect presence with our Creator. That's the New Covenant made manifest by Jesus' perfect life, sacrifice and resurrection.

In revelation there are 12 gates in the New Jerusalem with each
tribes name listed above it, and an angel guarding each gate to make
sure only the member of the tribe can get in. It is physically impossible
to enter New Jerusalem unless you go through one of these gates.
John MacArthur said the church is not Israel, and if this is the
case then John MacArthur cannot physically enter New Jerusalem

It is amazing how far we can stray from what scripture describes is being grafted in and being a bride of Christ so based on what John MacArthur has just said, it sounds to me like the grafting doesn’t have the significance that it’s plain language expresses. And it also says that, the church may be the bride of Christ but the Jewish nation God called his bride in the Old Testament, and he tried to be a husband to them, and he gives us example after example in Josea in the minor profits about how Israel played the harlot and broke his heart Yeah you read that right? They broke God‘s heart. The 10 Commandments were given to Moses as a ketubah, or wedding contract. And to reject the Torah, the law is to reject God’s desire to be one with us as a husband is with a wife. In the kingdom, the church and Israel are synonymous. And the sooner Christians get that through their thick, hardened heart and skull, the happier, they will be at peace with God.

Remember, context is key, my friends:
"a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the GENTILES has come in. 26 And in this way all Israel will be saved" -- "all Israel" is SPIRITUAL not ethnic. "In THIS WAY" -- what way? That the Gentiles MUST be grafted IN, for "ALL" Israel to be saved.
Spiritual Israel is all who believe in Messiah, which is the Church, the Bride of Christ.
The OT already prophesied that the nations, the Gentiles would also find salvation in Messiah.
Remember Romans 9:6 "But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel" - Again, True Israel is spiritual, not ethnic. That is exactly what Paul is saying.
Titus 2:14 "(Christ) who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works." Paul is writing to and about the Church, God's "own possession" just like Israel, but fully realized in Christ.
BTW, Love pastor MacArthur. Love Wretched and brother Todd.
And I love also that dispensationalism is well, starting to fade as believers are studying the Word for themselves. It's a good thing, brothers.

Israel is an elect nation not meaning saved individuals but different from all other nations. They are how we know that God is real and bringing about his purposes. This brings him glory. There are three purposes of the coming Great Tribulation: To bring judgement on the false shepherds of Israel and bring the remnant into faith in Jesus, to finalize the spread of the gospel across the earth and bring in the last of the harvest of souls, and to destroy evil. It is happening before our eyes.

This isn't "replacement theology," but a theology of covenant "fulfillment." The true Jews are those who are Jews inwardly, which includes gentiles as well. The church are the "true Jews," with some ethnic Jews included by faith. All of ethnic Israel will be saved only if all of ethnic Israel become Jews inwardly through faith.

not all israel is of israel. not the children of the flesh. the israel of God was the faithful remnant who received jesus. this was made manifest on the day of pentecost. a feast of God
given to israel. they went and spread the gospel, bringing in the gentiles, whom God made into
    one new man. throughout the old testament, a gentile could enter the covenant God made with the israel, and then be regarded "just as" any ethnic jew. and there has always been a remnant among the disobedient jews, who remained faithful to God. gentiles who are in christ have been grafted in among them, attached to the same root, branches on the same tree. there is no difference, no distinction. thus, "in this manner" all israel will be saved;
that is, the true israel of God, the faithful in christ from all nations.

I think you have to read Romans chapter 11 on this. Romans chapter 11 clearly has three individuals separate. Paul’s audience is save the gentiles.
Paul has addressed the 7000 remnant Jews that were saved by grace that he referred to as “the elect that have obtained”
Then Paul immediately says “what of the others?” he says that the others after the remnant in national Israel are hardened in part. A partial hardening. And how long is this partial hardening?… Paul tells you… Israel is under a hardening in part UNTIL the full number of Gentiles has come in… And it is in this way that all Israel will be saved
All Israel consists of three groups that all believe or will believe in Jesus Christ for salvation
      1) the 7000 remnant Jews that were set aside by God and saved by grace in Romans 11
      2) the others of national Israel that were not part of the remnant that God has under a partial hardening UNTIL the full number of Gentiles has come in
      3) the gentiles that were grafted into the natural tree as wild Olive branches, so as to provoke national Israel to jealousy.
These three groups make up “all Israel”

This isn’t for those of you who have the final word on the subject of Gods decrees, ok…For those of you who would like more understanding on the subject of Israel in Romans I offer a foundational study by John Murray on the epistle. If you haven’t studied this seminal work I’d be silent and steal away ;read it and see if it opens your understanding. Not only will you get a lesson in methodology of principles of interpretation, hermeneutics, you’ll learn some humility too. Everyone is a theologian in their own mind until they humble themselves and do the work of reading the guys who were called to do the heavy lifting in the original languages. If you still think ‘open my eyes to behold wonderful things out of your law’ only means , reading the Bible and serving yourself plates of self interpretative explanations that serve your preconceived notions doing a deep dive into classic works like Murray’s Romans is not for you.

That he, as a Christian pastor, is so lost and confused is scary. They rejected Christ, Crucified him and said, "Let His blood be on us and our children." ( Matt 27:25). “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). In the meantime, the Jew's most sacred book, the Babylonian Talmud, says this about Jesus, " Onkelos raises up a spirit named Yeshu by necromancy, and asks him about his punishment in Gehinnom. Yeshu replies that he is in "boiling excrement."

As much as I love John MacArthur, this is not true. There is a trend in Christianity that exalts the nation of Israel, but it is not biblical at all. "True Israel" is the group of people who believe in Jesus. If you believe, then you are a member of God's people, that is, you belong to Israel. However, the Bible hints that the nation of Israel will turn to Jesus in the end times. Although the Bible does not say that this will be true for all Jews without exception.

Half truth in what you state. The Jewish people are the nation of Israel and it is the chosen nation from which our father Abraham came and the blood line which God chose to bless all of man kind, we are children of Abraham by faith in Jesus Christ. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteous. Just read Galatians 3:7 know therefore that they are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham. And the scriptures, foreseeing that God would bless the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed. And then read Romans 9:7-8. then read Gal 3:26-29. And John 8:39, Romans 2:28`-29. Again Gal:3:29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham"s offspring, heirs according to promise.

Show us in Scripture where it says Christians are the "TRUE Israel"...we'll wait.
I can show you verse after verse of God saying he has not rejected Israel. The entire point of Romans 9-10 is to explain what happens with them. And it CLEARLY states they are NOT rejected.
This is a false teaching that started because Augustine allegorized entire swaths of scripture concerning Israel. He did that because he couldn't see how these prophecy's could be fulfilled given Israel was not in the land and Jerusalem was desolate.

[14] For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility [15] by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, [16] and might reconcile us both to God IN ONE BODY through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. [17] And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. [18] For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. [19] So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, [20] built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, [21] in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. Romans 9:6-8:
"But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring".
    Luke 13: 23-30:
"And someone said to him, “Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’ Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ But he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!’ In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out. And people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God. And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”
    Galatians 6:12-17:
"It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh who would force you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. Ephraim's descendants were prophesied to becomes the melo hagoyim, fullness of the nations or fullness of the gentiles, in Genesis 48:19. As the son of Joseph he got the birthright (1 Chronicles 5:1), though Judah received the scepter and the chief came from among him. In Deuteronomy 29-30 God lays out the blessings and curses, saying that if you disobey I will drive you from the land and scatter you from one end of the earth to the other, but wherever you are, if you repent and turn to God, he will regather you. After Solomon, because of Solomon's disobedience, God tore the Kingdom from Solomon's son, and left him only one tribe, the tribe of Benjamin. Therefore the House of Israel, the ten northern tribes, rebelled against Judah, and were led by mostly Ephraimite kings. In Hosea God divorced Israel, made them "Not my People" and showed the "No Mercy" but he did show mercy to Judah. In Jeremiah 3 it says God divorced Israel. He scattered them among the nations via Assyria, from one end of the earth to the other. Now he's regathering them from among all the nations. Judah however returned from their exile in Babylon. This is why Paul quote Hosea in Romans 9. This is why he alludes to Deuteronomy 30 in Romans 10, and why he alludes to Genesis 48:19 in ch. 11. In Ezra it says it was the sons of Judah, the sons of Benjamin and the sons of Levi, those who had been carried away by Nebuchadnezzer who returned. The Jews are not "all Israel" they are only the House of Judah. One day the Jews will be grafted back in again and all Israel will be saved.
