I was honestly waiting for “I can’t breathe” to be thrown into the mix.
Same, some people think it's a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Makes it less believable for the people that actually are losing the ability to breathe.
Saw a video the other day where someone was ignored while saying the same. He expired 10 minutes later while an ambulance was 4 feet away. Apparently he was thrown out of the ambulance because he started panicking and grabbed the emts shoulder.
I live in Florida. If I have to pay car insurance every month then so should these spoiled brats.

About a year ago I was stopped for speeding. Fairly close to home. I left my purse at home, no ID nothing. I was driving my company car, so when the officer approached I had my hands on the wheel fingers open. He ran the tag and had to call the company I work for, I explained everything to him. We were both polite and respectful to each other. He sent me on my way, so easy.

No matter how many addresses a person has, they all have a “primary address”. That’s the address you should use on all offical documents.

Every state I’ve lived in, after all court fines are paid, you still have to go to the DMV and pay them as well to have your license reinstated. Just because you’ve paid the courthouse doesn’t mean you’re automatically good to go. That’s only half the process.
Doesn't matter if she swung or not the cop still got injured during her arrest so it may not be battery on a leo but resisting arrest resulting in bodily injury is just as bad... so at worst theres two felonies....
Its because they want the correct address to mail all the paperwork to the person and then when in court they cany say I never got the paperwork. Which happens every day.

Suspended and a cease? Paying 250 aint clearing that up! Most likely she just paid the cost of the last ticket that got her tangled up and suspended that 4th time, but that wouldnt magically fix the suspension situation... She should know that if she dealt with 3 other suspensions.

Get so sick and tired how they abuse the ambulance, fire EMT etc.. we see that over and over again knowjng damn well they are not injured. I guess i have seen SO MANY of these body cams that i am becoming jaded. The pregnancy card is another one frequently played.
Once it gets cleared up in courting still may have to go to the DMV to pay a reinstatement fee.
As far as I know, no matter what state you live in, your driver's license must reflect the address at which you reside.
In this situation, the address on her plastic license is where she told the officer she resides. But on her alleged renewal document, she wrote down an address that's different from what's on her plastic license. That's highly questionable.
OK now at this point, I will not allow her to get back in the car. Let her stand in front of your vehicle cause you might have to chase her it in a minute.

I learned a long time ago from my cousin who is a cop that it's never a good idea argue with a cop in a loud voice because it will always escalate the situation. And, the last thing you want to do is escalate the situation with an armed police officer.

After paying the clerk it takes a couple days for the dmv to validate your license. You have to keep checking your status.
In Vermont, after you pay your fines, you have to go to the DMV and pay the reinstatement fees. However, now licenses are not suspended for unpaid tickets unless they are criminal.

In Oklahoma and Ohio (I only list these because I've lived in these two states) in a traffic stop they require your license to have your current address on it, if it does not, depending on the cop, they might let you off with a warning and tell you to get it changed, or they will write you a ticket.

If you have multiple addresses just put one address on all paperwork and it should be your primary address because all the other addresses are irrelevant. She probably got another citation after her DL was suspended so now she has a new charge and owes more money. She was trying to flee because she didn’t want her car impounded, and didn’t she just say she hadn’t fought like this before if she did she just admitted to resisting arrest.

My driver license address is another city from where I live and never in my life had an issue. I just tell the police my current address and I’m on my way with ticket. Not cuffs.

Their computers are not always correct. An incident with my daughter proves that. She was stopped because her "license was suspended", but it actually was not. A woman with the same first and last name forty miles away had her license suspended. When the VT DMV attached the suspension notice to a plate, they put it on my daughter's registration, so it showed up on plate readers as suspended. But, when the cops looked up her license separately, it showed it was valid. It became a joke to the cops who stopped her, walked up to her, and said they knew her license was valid. DMV could not figure out how to fix their error, so we had to reregister her car to stop it.

@Chooge Actually, all we needed to do was run her license number. The other woman had a different middle initial and a different address on her license. The DMV refused to admit they did anything wrong even when it was proven to them.

What you said at the end of your vid was very important...We have to re think some of these systems. Police towing a car can indeed be the last straw that sinks someone into homelessness...THe fines they place to retrieve it can not be paid by poor people they cannot afford expensive lawyers who can get them out on technicality and they are living paycheck to paycheck..One little thing like this can push them over the edge...In the USA the police make homelessness the government pushes people into poverty and aftergoing to jail open the door and don't even drive them home but leave them to fend for themselves....in the mean time they may have lost a home because they could not work,didn't pay the rent...and they come out of jail with nothing so no wonder when some people turn to crime

In the case of multiple addresses your main/permanent address needs to be on your DL. Explaining to the officer about your multiple addresses is usually enough. People usually don't get a ticket for it. I think that he questioned her because of the circumstances

A “seize tag order” should be renamed a “recover tag order”. Number plates do NOT belong to the car owner. They belong the state, and the state allows you to display them on your vehicle in order to show it is registered. In fact, you are NOT allowed to display them if your registration has expired. If and when your registration does expire, it is your responsibility to return them to the DMV. If you don’t, police have the power to ‘recover’ them and return them to the DMV in order to stop you from continuing to drive with them on your vehicle.

You file change of address. You go to DMV and change your address for your license.
