It was on the horizon when Malcolm-X said "Black folks are the only group that calls their Entertainers LEADERS. Other groups don't do that."
So Reagan and Trump don't ring a bell?
But those 2 actually became political and became leaders. They carry both titles. Just a singer doesn't carry both titles. 😊@@K2daMFG
@@tishie42 Reagan wasn't a leader and Trump definitely isn't.
Cut it out.
Lol if the media lies about you constantly and numerous people in the corrupt government want to see you punished or dead…. That usually is a good indicator that they are problem on the right side of history…. Trump is better than what we have in congress and senate and the White House at the moment.

I second that motion. I have been long tired of it. I am black, and dirt poor, but have never carried myself in the way that is promoted in black culture. Poverty is not a reason to act like boo boo the fool.
Nice. Very nice. I like that.
You talk about Yourself as dirt poor. You are decent and intelligent!!! Don t put Yourself down!!! The big Companies have their share in the problem...showing black people mostly as gangster, super-pimp or super-prostitute!!! I am aware, that....like the Kardashians....these are just a few ....but to impressionable young kids, they seem to be the ,,Creme de la Creme" of the US. I like to see good series, movies and musicians with and about black people !!! If You know, and can recommend some, please give examples! I would appreaciate them, and stream them !!!! Regards
I'm not black, I'm old. I have spent the greatest part of my life dirt poor too. There were many times for years we were lucky if we could afford to eat 2-3 times a week. Still we wouldn't have taken even an apple that fell of a tree in someone's yard. I get real tired of people saying poverty causes crime.
Ok this is very simple, we need to consider crimes of desperation. Just think about the video im not racist, "im trying to find a job and ain't nobody call me back yet, now I gotta sell drugs to put food in the cabinets" and this goes for everyone living in poverty. I hope you guys don't think this is solely a problem with black people. We do all the same stuff. Also everyone has the right to be themselves. A person's race does not determine how they should act. Michelleshow actually got mad because Mrlboyd doesn't act ghetto enough, which is a good example of what we're talking about here. We gotta stop focusing so much on race. You do you mrlboyd, hopefully everyone here agrees.
Saying you have to steal to eat is just an excuse.
There are food banks
There is the SNAP program
I have been on welfare.
It's not much and I was VERY poor but I wasn't hungry
I just couldn't buy a lot
And food banks don't check your income
ANYONE can go.
It's a pitiful selection to be sure
And you get some WEIRD stuff (canned white asparagus was probably the weirdest I got)
But I also have lived in 3rd world country.
If you are hungry NOTHING is too weird or bad to eat unless it's spoiled
She is 1000% right!

I am a retired teacher of English (White). Most of my 35 years of teaching took place in Harlem and the East New York section of Brooklyn. I always had very talented students who would do poorly in class, or on test. Every time I would talk to them about it, I received the same answer: "I don't want my friends calling me Acting White". That is a cultural problem.
They wanted the bar set so low that they would not need to put out any effort.
That is why I sent my children to predominantly white school because I wanted them to know that playing with Legos and playing cello the cello is normal. My children didn't ingest rap music that did not reflect true depiction of the black experiences.

@@JeezWhiz1 Not sure what you mean, could you be specific? That expression is new to me.
The absurd implication is that education is a white thing.
The reason its so disproportionate is becuase the culture generates a ridiculous amount of money. If the communities stoped buying this garbage and chose to eschew materialism and hedonism we would all be in a very different place.

You get a handful of rappers and athletes and a slightly larger handful of criminal agents that make any thing even resembling "wealth." Add them all together... a few thousand people that could be considered "rich" by living that lifestyle. None of them attaining anything lasting.
Everyone else trying it is self-destructively poor... but that doesnt stop the imagery of said lifestyle being sold, globally. Its not just black communities that need to stop buying into that culture. Its not just black communities that need to eschew materialism and hedonism. Its just that the black community is used as the icon of these specific cultural ales and has internalized these specific aspects as the entirety of their cultural contribution.

As a white man I agree with you. I know many very outstanding black people who are great people and have made a good life for themselves. I look up to them. I made a lot of mistakes in my younger days and am still feeling the repercussions. ❤❤❤
It's all they see because look at what is promoted. The media goes for the drama to make it look like it's representative of us all. I hate not being treated individually, especially when I'm grouped because our sub culture's voice is louder than the actual black culture which honestly is different depending on where and how you were raised. It's almost like success is frowned on. You have people like Diddy and rappers promoting the thug culture in music and pushing black women who are not indicative of most black women as being representative what is supposed to be desirable. That term our own worst enemy certainly jumps out. The victim mentality has to go and the enablers need to realize how much harm they are doing. When people see black people constantly being arrested or acting stupid over and over, they tend to start generalizing. The regular black people need to be louder because the sub culture and self-appointed leaders who never call out the bad and only care when a white person does something to a black person have taken over for far too long. The damage is irrevocable.

Your absolutely right, as mass shooters are way more likely to be white, but that isn't a good representation of white people. They ain't doing that because there white, and black people aren't being lawless because there black. A lot of people focus to much on race. What we should be talking about, is the society they came from. Not saying there not responsible for there own actions of course. But we also have to consider what led them down That path. The movie Gran Torino, is a great example of that. If he had grown up in a different society, he probably would have never tried to steel anyone's car. And even consider joining a gang.

Tired Of Social Media Manipulating Speech
I'm glad to see this in my feed 13 days later. Im a white Scottish woman, my daughter is engaged to a black American. He is a great example of a decent person, of any colour or nationality and he has been welcomed into our family. We look forward to his bi annual visits, (they take turn about yearly to visit each other) We hope he will be able to come to live in Scotland , when his mother's health issues are resolved.
It's not just Black culture. All culture is dying. America's worst is shining in the media
Their media is told to sensationalise everything by the billionaire owners... more discord for the masses distracts from their foulness.
Begin by refusing to protect those who break the law.
Devil control the rappers, rappers control the people
B.s. Mexico is worse. Much worse. They just don't come to the internet with a speech about it like blk people do.
Who are the ‘devils’?
When you peel back the facade of who OWNS the media, then you will know WHO is really behind this?
Hint, it’s a race/religious group none of us are allowed to criticize.
I"m so glad to hear black folk saying this. I thought it was just me, and my liberal guilt was running wild. I'm a white man and a lover of jazz, easily one of the finest contributions to world culture that American Blacks are principally responsible for. I also play in a weekly billiards league at a local pool hall -- admittedly not the most cultured locale to spend time, but i love the game. -I cannot believe my ears when I hear popular black music these days. Every time gangster rap comes over the music system, my heart breaks. So many young people have no access to the greatness that is (dare I say "was") Black music. Go take a moment and compare John Coltrane's -_-A Love Supreme_-_- literally a search for God in the altissimo register of a tenor saxophone pursued by a recovering heroine addict who wanted only to become a saint with whatever time he had remaining after finding sobriety -- with just about any offering from the rap world these days. The rappers now worship the darkness and have lost the light. If Coltrane is not your thing, then go compare Aretha Franklin's "Respect" with Cardi B's "WAP." Talk about degeneracy. What the heck happened. y'all? Out of purely selfish motives, I want the greatness of Black culture back. There is so much beauty being lost, a beauty that can only come from a people that had to overcome so much hardship. How do we get that back?
It we had strong responsible men at home we can solve that problem overnight. A lack of strong families that doesn't glorify bad behavior is our main problem.
As a person of mixed race this is a very tough topic. But one that is true and needs to be addressed more. I'm glad to see black people are starting to get sick of it too. (And don't you worry I hit the like button)
Why is it tough?
A very intelligent young lady...I seen and served with some of the best Black Men in early sixties but it changed severely in mid seventies through out my retirement in 1990...Black people need to listen to this young woman.
I'm a dark skinned black woman. It is so hard to make friends because I do not act accordingly to the black cultural standards, and my features run every other racial groups away due to how they THINK all black people act.
It's annoying.
❤
Change only starts after “knowing there needs to be change.”
She is right
I know because I feel the same way. I'm so tired of seeing our culture and who we are as a people diminished to wild. loud, sexually charged and directionless. I often feel they portray us as ignorant.
Go look what happened at Howard University's graduation ceremony a few days ago and get back to us on why some people might be prone to believe the negative portrayals..... and theses are supposed to be the 'best and brightest ' of your people......or are you just gonna blame that on social media and whitey too?
@@Neillybob63 Good point.
Let it play, this is important and RUclips should welcome correct views.
They should welcome incorrect views as well. Just think if im wrong about something, how could i ever be corrected if im not allowed to voice that opinion ?
❤ luv it😎
I grew up in the. South, I've been sick and tired of the black sub culture.
Bro being from LA Nola area. Shits retarded and unecessary. Hated growin up in it.
Its deteriorating and spreading at the same time.
I’m from the ghetto and I applaud you! Keep doing and speaking the truth!
Greatest point was the fact paraphrasing no one pushes trash to the forefront of their culture 😢
Completely agree with nearly every video I've watched of yours. Thank you for continuing to post.
This was a great video by an eloquent and gorgeous young woman.
The tone of her skin has nothing to do with it, it is literally the least important piece of a persons identity. Allowing “thug culture” to be called “black culture” is what got us here. See also “black” music, films, leaders and politicians. True greatness doesn’t need the qualifier.
I completely agree. I never grew up around people that were like that. Even so, i never understood why not being ghetto was a negative thing. I was always told by other black people that i was from the " wrong side of the tracks" or i thought i was too good. Acting ghetto isnt okay. Happy others feel the same.
Your story is a lil confusing...if you never grew up in the ghetto who told you that you were from the wrong side of the tracks?
@Quezo103 I think you may of misunderstood, he never said he didn't grow up in the black community "hood". What he said was that he wasn't raised to be ghetto. There is a big difference. You can be from a place and not be of that place.
@@Quezo103the same folks who have put all their stat points into ego and none into self reflection.
Ghetto mindrot hates whenever a black person is successful. they dont like to see anything that reminds them that, for the mist part, they are doing nothing for themselves.
so the only thing left is that you must be not black enough, too "white", a traitor, or not from the hood like any if that is a bad thing, because losers hate seeing others winning
It’s sad that anyone would want to labeled as ghetto….?
I am a white American you are extremely right...I have lived NYC and is indeed overly done. I never had any problem with any race I think this is an American problem that needs to be fixed. I live in WV and we also have a reputation that isn't deserved and a lot of people do not know our history...We are West Virginia not Virginia we remained loyal to the Union and earned are state hood because we believed in what was right...We were and are anti slavery I have met black people all over the country and they have been nothing but respectful. This is a American problem that needs to be fixed now!!!!!!
There's like 12 Black Americans in NY, most of the other people are children of immigrants. 2 different groups.
MrLBoyd, thanks for being here & thanks for being you, really appreciate you.
Thank you for highlighting this extremely important video. You are the second person I have found to do it and am seeking others to also support. Blessings...

Getting real tired of RUclips's BS. Too much censorship and the ads are getting outrageous. They're even slowing down computers with adblock.

Amen to that Truth!
You should not be punished... you should be praised
And on that note when people used to ask me why I was talking white I would ask them why were they talking stupid.
I have noted for decades that being "rachet" (wretched) is a virtue in black pop culture. Unfortunately many of us don't or won't acknowledge how damaging it has been. Making a laughing stock of themselves. "I'm not a musician! I make music!" "I don't think! What is that?!"
"Ratchet" came from "Wretched "? OK that explains it for me. I had no idea where that word came from, and nobody could explain it to me.
You just described the pink sauce lady to a 'T' 😂
Rachet is not a virtue in black pop culture, it's one in gangsta culture, especially, in the GANGSTA RAP...
@@JosephChandler-vd1csmaybe like nobody knows Chile is already a country, nobody knows a ratchet is already a lever tool with gears
I appreciate this video so much. Thank you for posting this. 👍🏾
Shes speaking NOTHING But TRUTH!
I was recently in a mental health hospital for wanting to unalive myself, came home yesterday. I noticed that a lot of the other black folks in there with me had a really strong victim mentality and were often aggressive and distasteful toward the staff and other patients. If there was a problem on the unit, it was usually one of them and they blamed everyone else for the consequences. They were walking stereotypes. It became really clear, regardless of why they were in there, who was willing to do the work to get better and who wasn't. It felt like the only thing I could do be kind, keep my distance, and pray for them in private.
God bless you and keep your head up, you sound like you have a kind heart. I pray you find peace, seek the Lord Jesus Christ because he loves us and cares 🙏🏾
You are loved 🤗
This is the problem when you don't control your own image.
Kevin Samuals had a good video on this.
I’d say the problem is when you don’t control your anger or sperm/egg.
Orrrr when you dont even recognize that you DO control your own image. That might be the problem, lol.
Thank you for having this conversation. As an outsider looking back it saddens me to see what's happened to your culture over the last 60 to 80 years. And to see it happen to Latinos shortly after and to see it happening to whites and all other nations of America. We must not let Decay and rock be the way that we Define ourselves. Bless you brother.
Who is controlling the media, and why is the worst of the worst of black people promoted?
I can answer question easily. Its not Whites, or blacks or Hispanics. Its those folks with the funny hats who can never ever be criticisized about anything. That same group hates us all and promotes the racial divide. WJSE Play unscramble the word
Deteriorating? is already rotten.
I have always said "Hating someone for the color of their skin is a stupid ass reason to hate someone. Just spend 5 minutes with a person and they will give you a much better reason to hate them."
This is a fantastic video and you’ve brought to light a lot of how I’ve personally felt. Keep up the great work in calling out the unpopular topics that are usually the “elephants” in the room.
Always appreciate your positive message.
She's speaking so many facts. And I feel her pain. I get talked about for pushing back on this very thing ALL THE TIME.
Your whole country was stolen the majority of black people are portrayed as agreeing with slavery by constantly saying the N word maybe start there!
The African-American Culture is going the way of The Dodo because of immigration -- whether it be legal immigration, illegal immigration or chain migration . . We simply will hold no significance -- societal and political -- in the eyes of too many people in this country . . . .
Fathers in the home raising the kids is the solution... Governments will always try to replace the parents. This is across all sub-cultures, just has a head-start in some groups, but all peoples and cultures are targeted and are at risk from the authoritarian types that want and believe they should own your freedom and autonomy.
BINGO
There are many black men at home, but they are not recognized. Government cannot get rid of your husband, the woman do for food stamps and housing
Unfortunately women have been incentivized to break up families and file for divorce in 80% of divorce cases, and our women are the main ones biting the bait. If we're being honest, our women are primarily the problem. And the govt will never fix this because they just want their cut of child support. Shit is stupid.
It’s not just fathers in the home, educated, loving fathers as well as a village aka family
Just a father in the home isn’t enough. He has to be mature, stable, loving, sympathetic and emotional. Some blk men see these traits as weak.
Great video!! Keep them up!
I'm in total agreement. Thank you for this.
Funny thing is the "hood" didn't even used to be the way it is now. It's actually gotten worse. As someone who did grow up in the inner city. I've seen the moral decay of the last 2 decades.
I live in the hood and most nights it’s so quiet you can here a pin drop. Stop speaking on situations you don’t live. You live in the suburbs, and 1 of the reasons “hoods” got that way because blks like you wanted to live around whte people. Oreo
It seems that not enough of us collectively know how to handle success. Black culture achieved more success when we struggled decades ago. Just look at our history in America. Now that we have many Black millionaires and billionaires, all we see is mass consumerism and infighting. We have no “New Black Wall Street” or enough business models of that nature to show any real progress. Even many our so-called leaders and role models are unfit to represent us as a people. A house divided cannot stand”…
Its because NOW black excellence is just making money BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY so now we got scammer, drug dealers and hoes that make money telling us we need to do what they do
I am very white, and when Biden extended his hand to Cardi B, to put a face to Black America, and pull more votes, it made me literally sick to my stomach. I was ashamed and embarrassed for a demographic that I do not represent. How did we get to this? There are a lot of varying issues to tackle.
Yes!! I felt exactly the same way. I was mortified on behalf of my wonderful responsible ethical black friends. I felt sick to my stomach. How dare Biden make such an offensive assumption.
Keep doing what you are doing! I discovered this video on my timeline!
Biden sat down and talk to Cardi B as a black representative and we said nothing ... they can never take us serious.
Many of us did say something but our voices were drowned out.
So you think they don't know what they are doing by inviting Cardi B? You think they don't know where to find a Serious person?? White Power Speaks in Code...it's a Code When they Call on Cardi B or Kanye...
She also is not even AA!!
They truly think we are imbeciles
