YOUNG POSSE GOT THAT SAUCEEEEEEEE
They got hated for doing drill and were told it’s cultural appropriation. They do have some singing songs (their bsides some don’t have any rap verses) scars(self written,has choreo),skyline(rage beat),ROTY (self written), otb (has mv but shorter than actual song), cooing (no rapping), DnD ( ft with BM of kard, it’s a afrobeat type of song). You should listen to their cover medley as well it’s super good. Also, they are going to perform at HITC nyc and have been praised for singing and rapping live (dingo freestyle) recently.
It's not even cultural appropriation tho, a drill beat or song isn't supposed to be exclusive for a set type of people

The cover medley is ridiculously good ... plus you get a better feel for the single members than from the MVs

7:36 Actually they sampled a 90s kpop song. You should definitely check it out, it’s called Come back home by Seo Taiji and Boys, one of the first kpop groups.

@@KageSummit4 If that’s the case I recommend also reacting to Tell me by Wonder girls, Miniskirt by AOA, Gee by girls generation, 10 minutes by Lee Hyori and Aha by Ivy. Another iconic old school kpop song is Rewind by wonder girls but it doesn’t have an MV.

true! the drill beat influence was crazy on korean rap. there's lot of k rappers who used this type of beat, one of them is NSW yoon (the 2nd featuring guy), there's also blase, fleeky bang, silkybois etc

Ben Proulx is a US based film and music video director (with a grammy nomination under his belt), and Macaroni Cheese was his very first encounter with K-Pop. He had worked with Token before, and connected them for the Young Posse Up remix; when Young Posse later asked if he could return for their first comeback XXL, Ben did ... and outdid himself.
Young Posse's problem is that they are from a small company and not associated with any of the big four K-Pop industry players - they started literally from zero, while any new group from one of the big four comes with a built-in automatic fanbase of up to _ twenty million_ subscribers, and get millions of clicks in hours even for mediocre songs. David has thrown the gauntlet at Goliath here, and they are doing so by being radically different from what K-Pop usually is.
We love a good underdog story, so that’s cool to know of their background. Their differences compared to other groups is definitely apparent which is apart of their charm. They will only get better🖤
