Nice extensive reactions. Atarashii Gakko were formed by the Asobi System talent agency back in 2015. Mizyu (smallest with 2 hair bunches) had worked for the agency before as a back up dancer for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and she was joined by Rin, Suzuka and Kanon. Mizyu is a couple of years older than the others and they still look to her sometimes for leadership in interviews, when Suzuka isn't taking the lead. They are almost an anti-idol group as even though they come out of that tradition their motto is "With individuality and freedom I'm going to stick out" and they do all their own choreography and have a lot of input to the songs. They have tackled some serious subjects like love triangles and male teachers abusing female students and also support minorities in Japan singing and dancing at Pride events and with disabled people to promote dance for everyone. J-pop groups would not usually do this. AG have recently completed a North American tour and in 2024 they will do their first world tour playing small but prestigious venues like Bataclan in Paris. They are great live and so I suggest you look at the end of their show in Brooklyn last year and you'll see Suzuka jumping into the audience, just search on "Atarashii Gakko! Live@Brooklyn NYC".
So glad you guys did Koi Geba at the end as it is my favorite AG song and choreography. Glad you guys so easily caught the message as I have seen many miss it. Suzuka in a USA interview in 2022 was asked where should new fans start, her response, Koi Geba. There 1st video Dokubna is right then for me as well.
Same omg I am honestly shocked that near all the reacters I seen have missed it completely. The black bars over their eyes, and the perverse voyeuristic nature of the directing should really clear up the meaning. A near mysterious, secret relationship, and it setting in a highschool? Hm I wonder 💔
Great reactions! Though I have to flex that I have seen them in concert AND got a picture with them. Though you are right, in that singing while dancing like mad is a difficult skill. That's one of the reasons why I like Baby Metal because they dance energetically while singing also. Their earlier stuff is more j-pop/rock/jazz and a total vibe. They have done more hip-hop and electronic since signing with 88 rising. The best videos they do are their dance practice videos, because you can see their skill shine through.
At the very end you can see the massive smiles on their faces as they know they nailed that performance. I tear up every time I watch that performance because I am just so happy for them.
Just found out about Atarashii Gakko a couple days ago (from their collab on Maximum the Hormone's Shimi) and I don't think I've ever had any group go so quickly for me from "never heard of them" to "this is my favorite thing"
Pineapple Kryptonite and Suki Lie are a couple more fun tracks and MV's. They also have an original take on "Intergalactic" from the Beastie Boys, AG has worked with Money Mark, Beasties's old producer. My daughter bought tickets for us to see them in Chicago in a few weeks, since I took her to see Band Maid and Babymetal last year. It's our first AG show, should be a blast!
Loved this reaction. One thing to keep in mind and I always say for reactors with more than 2 people is to be aware that if there's constantly someone talking over the video it ruins the video for the others. Often people when they're 3 or 4 there's constantly someone talking throughout.
If you ever get to see AG live, do so. I've seen them at Head in the Clouds 3 times and they are lit. I'm planning to see them in a full concert when they play the US in October.
I love the chaotic, friendly vibe of this video and channel! I think it's pretty cool, and I hope you guys can really pull through with this because I certainly feel like you guys could become popular. I absolutely love reacting channels that like to chat, and go over what they watched... y'know, react! I personally am not much of an anime person so I doubt I would watch much of your content, but nonetheless! I do see that you've played Lethal Company so I'd love to check that out. Support :]
We appreciate the kind words truly. It’s perfectly onus anime isn’t your thing, we have a lot more Kpop and gaming vids on the way for sure. Thank you for the support🖤

We definitely will get to your reaction and thank you so much for the background info on their background! We can’t wait to react to more!
I feel like I’ve seen a lot of these “weird” Japanese groups that emphasise freedom
I can’t think of one group like that in K-pop
Their story is really interesting. Victor was dropping them when 88rising threw them a rope and hooked them up with Money Mark.

Thank you for the comment! AG is so fire for not only having great musicality but including important messages. Really sets them apart.
The vibe with this group was so IMMACULATE I loved it 🔥
i’m so grateful for your guys’ reaction to koi geba because nobody else rlly got the message right away
Their music is FIRE, but the messages behind the songs make them that much better🖤
@@KageSummit4 hell yes exactly!!!

I NEED to see them live
We absolutely will 💫
I need a whole concert with Atarashii Gakko 😩😩😩😩
Real

I WANNA GO TO A COMCERT NOOOOW

i will always be so insanely jealous for the people that get to see them live its just next level energy with insanely catchy songs
We can only imagine😭, definitely once in a lifetime experience🖤
They are soooo good live. I just saw them at HITC in NY 2 days ago...

Las mejores!!
Not just superb performers, but they do all their own choreo (and choreo for others).
I’m just starting to dive into their music and this video helped put me on to probably some of the dopest songs I’ve heard in a while so thanks!
We are just getting started too as well, so we in this journey together🖤

20:20 OMG YES ITS SO PERFECT FOR MP100 GOSH, and the choreography in Koi geba symbolizes distractions i think, something like that
Loved this reaction.

That is a very good point. We will be sure to take this into consideration moving forward 🖤
My god Suzuka (the main singer) is so charismatic :o !

3 Times?!?! We are jealous😭 but that’s actually so cool. We can’t wait to go ourselves🖤

ugh i love their group and their dynamic, also please react to babymetal !
I got to see them in concert twice. And the first tour was only 3 concerts in CA. Before they got signed by 88^.
If you guys ever do part2, do hannako, their cover of beastie boys intergalactic and some of their earlier stuff. It’s great stuff.
Otonablue is on just dance by the way if you tryna do the dance!!!!
AG older vids give off papa franku vibes that leave me with fanon thoughts they were heirs of the filthy frank transition into Joji
Late to your reaction, but tickets are on sale for their world tour rn.
21:46 they went into another plane
Actually started going insane🗣️
