Great commentary on Castle. Even when he has a bad shooting night, like he did against Miami, Castle still gets to the line (take notes Devin!), still impacts the game and somehow was also part of the lineup that nearly came back to snag the W at the end. Very insightful on that upfake as I totally missed that detail, so kudos for highlighting it. Even Castle's TOs tend to be the good kind, slight misreads or from drawing heavy action in traffic -- they're not the unforced errors of reckless moves or silly mistakes or careless passes. Gonna be a real solid piece for the team and one of the few players on the roster with some genuine winning in his DNA.

Great commentary! It's cool that someone notices the little things. I hope that the RoY voters can remember the little things and not everything on the box score.
Just by being a good defender he can feel what the defense is a)giving him, b)going to do and go from that by instinct. If he develops a 3 (which might be the case given his pre season and overall FT%) he can be a solid playmaking 2, or 1 if Vasell stays. Perennial 15/4/7 guy with good defense and decent efficiency, mark my words.

We won't see his true playmaking or scoring skills until the Spurs get proper spacing. Still, I think if he were to be playing 30mpg he could average around 5-6 AST with this squad which is excellent for a rookie.
I know you've had your doubts about how Castle might translate as a PG in the NBA but I'm glad to see you acknowledge the bright spots he's shown. He's definitely got potential but that jumper is the true key to unlock everything.
For sure still have doubts about his playmaking translates to the regular season and in the playoffs if he can't score much off the dribble or consistently stretch the floor! But I always want to try to see the positives with every player if I can! No sense in just bashing these dudes! Hope he proves me wrong!

The Spurs will turn this kid into another All Star. Willing passer, good bball IQ/court vision, a winner and a Dawg on D. His size at that position will be a huge problem for opponents. Coach Hurley is right, Castle could be a bigger Jrue Holiday.
These breakdowns are a much-appreciated addition to the Spurs fan diet

Thanks for watching, Valis!
I initially didn’t like the pick on draft night but seeing him in Summer League and in preseason, I really think he is the PG of the future
These breakdowns are super fun for a spurs fan who doesnt get to watch all spurs games and absolutely love the narration as well. Keep it going, Noah.

Enjoyed this video. Thanks! Castle seems like he's going to be one of the lottery picks that actually live up to the expectations. Maybe more!

as a primary ball handler, which he currently isn't; I could see him averaging a healthy amount of assists in his future.
Again, quality work, Noah! Could not get any breakdown better than this! 😍🙌🙌👏GSG!
