People who watch the spurs last year in some go the final minute grind games know that this isn’t new for Blake Wesley.Always has energy on high and never turns it off.
If he can finish better at the rim, and either find a mid-range game OR at least improve his 3 point shot, he can be valuable off the bench. He has all the tools to be special on defense.
@@TheMilitiaGuy I think my boy Blake basically Primo without the outside shot. He has it made bc he clearly has a complimentary connection to Castle. as 4 MALAKI his issue is he has been used as PG when he not....they either have to decide to keep him by resigning to a small cheap deal or trade him a package they b super stupid to just waive him he still has a lot of potential as a solid role player.
I agree,@@265308. Blake's shooting is a work in progress but his option will be picked up by the Spurs. Branham and others will be traded with picks to get the young SP the Spurs need as the #2 scorer next to VW.

Blake is a keeper and the Spurs will p/u his option this year b/c he is a future b/u PG to Castle. CP3 won't be around and Jones & Branham will be traded.
Call me crazy but think barring WOKE POP purposely tanking or a lot of team injuries think CP3 be her for another year hell maybe even 2 N then we trade him to a contender when Castle ready or he retires N get hired as an assistant coach. He wants to coach N what better place then here especially as player coach. CP3 can get his ring easily as a coach if he stays here hell he can even suit for a game or two,.
@@265308 / CP3 was brought in to end his career as a Spurs player-coach this year and extend his career by coming off the bench next year when Castle starts as PG. Jones to be traded and Blake will be the backup PG and future Sixth Man of the Year.
Against the general opinion, I always say that for me there are 4 players that the Spurs should consider indispensable for their long-term project: Wemby, Vassell, Castle and Wesley. Yes, Blake Wesley for me has a much higher defensive potential than Jeremy Sochan. I see Wesley becoming a Jaden McDaniels. The kid has a monumental future in the NBA.
Yea the strip on Paola was impressive. He’s always been my fave from that class his speed is up there with de Aaron fox. I’m really hoping he can find his rhythm and confidence from 3.

Wesley is a good defender but poised for a breakout hel no! On offense with his speed, he never attacks the rim. Wesley Will take two or three dribble, then pass it. He's a nobody, so he's not being scouted at all because teams will stay home if Wesley got the ball, then you can foul him because he's like 50% from the free throw line. Wesley get rid of the ball so quickly you can't see his offensive deficiency as a point guard. He will be a offensive liability in a playoffs setting and he's a point guard. Where's the playing time. When Vesell gets back you got 3 point guards ahead of him. You can't put him in a shooting guard because he dont have no outside shot at all.
If that’s your conclusion, you haven’t really been watching the pre season games and the line up pop has been throwing him with. Blake will be a piece for us, not offensively so much. He’s learning from CP3, let the man learns you’re judging too quick and his 3 has gotten better.
@victorchz2156 he dont have time to learn why you think the Spurs drafted a point guard and sign CP3. Where's the playing time he's the third Point guard, and his last year.

He literally get a tuirnover or rebound N takes the damn ball all the way to hoop bc the defense sleeps.

2:10 That was a called foul on Juju what I recall. He hit the shooter on his elbow
His length and speed is insane. If he embraces the „play defense to get minutes“ mentality, we might have something real good here.
Concur. Spurs will p/u his option.

Mans got hustle
goodbye branham😥

Is sochan good at D though?
Everytime I watch (small sample size), I feel like he gets lost in the D.
Sochan's size grants him a much higher defensive ceiling

He plays both guard positions and on certain matchups he can even play Small Forward. His defense alone keep him in the league.
