Handy little gadget, I’ve not needed mine for my van but did jump start the chaps over the road which was a great test and he was amazed for something so small how powerful it was. Worth noting make sure you don’t leave it where it will get too hot, sounds like a good positioning.
On the subject of batteries, I am going to replace my vehicle battery before the winter as have noticed folks having problems with airbag module when the battery begins to fail and they seem to start to decline fairly quickly after 3/4 years. Much cheaper option than replacing the airbag module - think it gets corrupted with low voltage. (Just a theory based on a number of reports)
Better to have it and not need it - could really save the day!
All the very best, David 👍

That’s good advice re the battery David and the location for the starter. Also pleased that your jump starter worked well when needed. Not quite sure what to about replacing our battery just yet as I am quite meticulous about putting the maintainer on the cab battery. Don’t want to get caught out though! Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best to you both 👍😊❤️

When I had a motorhome kept in storage, the vehicle battery was always flat after about 2 weeks, had RAC check where the drain was, but failed miserably . Had battery replaced several times, eventually bought a couple of similar chargers to you, both both not powerful enough despite saying they did diesel engines, eventually bought a very heavy one from Clarkes, which did the job, on our CV20, we have our leisure batteries connected to trickle charge, engine one, it works a treat, so far so good, best of luck

That issue you had found horrendous to track down but it does sound like you had an underlying problem. So annoying when that happens. I often run a battery maintainer to help look after the cab battery. Works well for us in fact I’m filming a vlog about it tomorrow🤣. Thanks for watching and indeed commenting. Appreciate it. 🐶🐶🐶🧙‍♂️🚐👍

The negative connector under the bonnet is just effectively a bolt thread, rubbish for clipping the crocodile clips to. There's a piece of exposed metalwork which I would use instead, and you don't need long leads for it. You can see it immediately above the "o" in the word "Positive" in your video at timestamp 1:14 I used a multimeter to check and it's connected to the vehicle -ve.

My clamps really gripped the designated point very well. To be honest I would use alternative points. The two bolts left and right of the main one would work well. However when doing a vlog like this I need to avoid being to irregular as lots of folk will say why didn’t I know there is a designated point. Rules are to be followed but behind the scenes as you say there are better ones. Thanks for commenting 🐶🐶🐶🚐🧙‍♂️👍

One of many things we all keep just in case! I'm just about to charge mine for the next trip; it doesn't seem to lose to much charge. Cheers Graham.

I said to somebody else. The best scenario for me would be to help another Campervanner with a flat battery. Test it on them HaHa. Providing they had subscribed of course 🤣🚐🧙‍♂️👍

Hi Michael. Hope you’ve had a good week. It’s been nice seeing a bit of sun this week 😉. Thanks for watching and of course commenting. I do worry about being stuck in the middle of nowhere (Ellie). So the more we can do to avoid that scenario, the happier I am! Have a good weekend 👍❤️😊

One Click to Boost Dead Batteries
The “Boost” mode is designed for emergency jumpstarting when the battery has very low voltage or no voltage at all (at 0% of capacity). Simply press the “Boost” button, and the jump starter will be ready for emergency boost starting.
    Here’s the step-by-step process:
Connect the battery clamps & cable set to the JS2000 jump starter.
Correctly connect the battery clamps to the terminals of the car battery (red -> positive, black -> negative).
Turn on the JS2000 and press the “Boost” button.
Start the car after the LED indicator turns solid green.
