One of Billy Strayhorn's tenderest creations, this ode to delicate floral beauty was introduced by Duke Ellington and His Orchestra in 1941 (feat. Johnny Hodges), recorded in '46 but first released under Johnny Hodges' name in '47. There's a recording by Billy Strayhorn himself from '63, not to forget Ella at Duke's Place (1966). Tina May included the song on her 1993 album _Fun._
