People not giving the Texans defense any credit is like Rex Ryan saying that this was like a bye week for the Chargers. Every player on that defense stepped up.
Texans fan here. I definitely understand the frustrations you guys are feeling. Us Texans fans know all too well about playoff disappointment. I do think Herbert is still an extremely talented QB. From what I saw, he really doesn’t have any true weapons on his team besides Ladd (who was absolutely terrific, and shout out to his outstanding rookie year). The Texans have done this to a number of quarterbacks this year, not just Herbert. They forced Jared Goff into FIVE interceptions. Josh Allen played the worst game of his career earlier this year, so they have the capability to do this to very good QB’s. The Chargers OL really started falling apart as well, as Will Anderson Jr continuously wreaked havoc. I think the Chargers have a lot to build on here. They had a great turnaround season and they obviously have a fantastic head coach. Hoping you guys get some more premier weapons to put around Herbert. Congratulations on a successful season, even though it’s not the way you wanted to have it end.
This is the first time all year the Texans has had their starting front 7. As a texans fan I wish either ward or Pitre where healthy. Our defense at full power can drag this offense to a superbowl.
I love Herbert but he’s reminding me of Kershaw, Dodgers pitcher. Great year, breaking records, crazy good stats, then repeat choke in playoff games. I say address the key needs in the draft and free agency. But after doing that, only keep JH if he produces in the playoffs. Don’t pull a pipe dream like we did with Rivers. Remember what Kobe Bryant said when the Chargers moved from San Diego to Los Angeles. He went into the locker room, met with the Chargers, and simply said “we don’t hang divisional banners in Los Angeles.”
"chokes in playoff games" .... huh?............ .Herbert has only been in TWO playoff games and he only 'choked' in one of them.... It was the defense that choked against Jacksonville... & Herbert doesn't play defense
Herbert did play bad today, but our interior offensive line and below average receiving corps have been liabilities all season long, especially against playoff caliber teams. Today was no different. Herbert can’t overcome this stuff every time we play a good team, eventually it catches up to you, especially in the playoffs. I’m sure we’ll be getting a handful of receivers and interior lineman to upgrade the offense for next season, if Herbert continues to struggle with all that, then I will start questioning him as a clutch QB
Texans have way better skill positions even without Dell and Diggs. Shultz > Dissly Meechie > QJ Woods > Chark Mixon > Dobbins No one is making excuses. The Chargers have the worst skill positions in the league.
@@James-100 Here is a wild scenario for you. Trade Herbert for the Giants first round(3rd overall) and second round plus some pocket change. Use the 3rd overall pick to get Travis hunter and trade their own first round pick plus pocket change to get JJ McCarthy from the Vikings. Use their 2 second round picks to trade up and pick Ashton Jeanty. What crazy scenario if it were to happen🤭.
It’s not all on him he couldn’t even set his feet keep it 💯. He had some bad looks, but at the same time he was forcing the ball without even setting his feet. Greg Roman got out Coach as well. That was the best defense we played all year.
Simple fact… Herbert is not good enough to overcome Roman. That will be painfully evident next year. The addition of more weapons and line will not move the needle enough. In Herberts defense, not many , if any QBs are good enough. Until Harbaugh figures out Roman is the biggest problem… this is on rinse and repeat for eternity.
So the Chargers drafted 3 HOF caliber QBs that “aren’t winners”? The more likely explanation is the Chargers have never been a winning organization for the past 50 years and Harbaugh can’t magically erase that in ONE season. This team is coming, they need another year or 2 before they can take down the AFC giants.
@ yet not a soul in NFL history would rather have Humphries as their QB over Fouts, Rivers, or Herbert. It’s almost like the team around the QB matters too…
As a ravens fan, we warned you all about Greg Roman. Harbs love him, but he aint it. The passing patterns suck and they only value draft picks, not big name stars at WR
@@wowreally594 Herbert has had 5 OCs now and it’s always their fault. His OC last year has the Eagles offense one of the best in the league. The problem is Herbert. He is absolute garbage unless he’s playing bad teams in the regular season. 9-28 vs teams with winning records. Herbert needs to go.
A different OC isn’t going to improve the Chargers interior OL nor is a different OC going to change the fact that Ladd is their receiver who consistently creates separation.
everyone calling out herbert had EVERY right to do so. Justin’s gonna get destroyed by the media .. and i’m done defending him . Justin deserves all the smoke he gets . Until he can beat good teams , he’s not a winner .
The Media won't blame him. When you are a favorite of the media they will make excuses. It will be the Defense...it will be the Offensive line and Wrs...it will NEVER EVER be Herbert
@@argentrisbarber3967they will blame Herbert. He deserves it and he didn't get help from the IOL and the WRs(except Ladd) and TE. The defense played well at first but got worn down. I honestly didn't expect playoffs this year. So a plus considering what they went with going into the season. Imagine when they get more offensive weapons and some oline help. I'm excited for next season!
@@jeremiahclark7012 I don't know if you where talking to me or OP but he is to share in the blame. Idk how that's being a fair weather fan, just being real. I've been a fan since the 90s not going anywhere 😂. They definitely were not playing their best that game but the flaws were definitely obvious and hopefully will be addressed.
This came down to Slowick vs Roman and the absolute horrible play calling and interior oline complete breakdown. The defense was on the field far too long due to horrible calls and execution. This one lays on the lap of Roman, walking papers issued ASAP to him!!!
From a Texans fan POV Chargers looked in control until that botched play when CJ wasn't ready for snap and CJ threw downfield to wide open Hutchinson, that play open up a can full of momentum that Texans defense stepped up a notched.
It felt like after that 2nd and 19 drop by Dissly that prolly woulda been a first and goal killed so much momentum. Dissly went cold, QJ went cold, and then it seemed like Chark and Darius Davis weren’t even in the gameplan
No one is talking enough about that 2nd and 19 drop. That was a huge game changer, and YES they can definitely present themselves in the first quarter.
Bruh I would understand if you said Jackson, Allen, or Mahomes. Burrow is just as overrated as Herbert. We have never seen Burrow play without elite talent. So carry your Joe Burrow nonsense somewhere else. He hasn't sniffed the playoffs in two years and you still meat riding him. Pathetic.
Bottom line is Houston gave Chargers a quarter & a Half window to take the game over and get a big lead,Chargers failed to take advantage and gave Houston confidence till they woke up.
This can no longer be acceptable to say it’s an O.C. Issue. This is Justin’s 5th OC. It is not acceptable to blame anyone but the QB any longer. Superkid has every tangible ability in the world, but doesn’t seem to know what to do with it, and it has not improved year over read.. only regressed. Rivers had a 10th of Herbert’s ability but made the most of it.
Yall love Herbert too much im tired of us giving excuses this the same thing different coach he is good but he not good enough to beat elite qbs cj stroud literally out played Herbert our defense got tired we got a fumble then pick and Herbert gave the ball right bac
Last thing to add. The most embarrassing thing about that game was how many empty seats there were in that stadium. They were everywhere, from premium to “cheap seats”. Very poor showing by the hometown crowd.
That was completely embarrassing. I get it was a road game, but that was an inferior opponent. You have to be able to move the ball when they can stop the run up the middle. JH kept banging his head against the wall trying to establish the run and got nothing. Stingley played outstanding, he’s the best CB outside of Surtain imo. What an embarrassing loss. an offseason full of Chargers jokes is going to be painful…
Inferior? That's the problem with all you CHOKER fans. Most of you just have your heads stuffed up Justin Sherberts 💩 hole and never analyze true Football statistics.
Truthfully, the Chargers weren't a serious playoff contender this year, although it was a good first season reshuffle under Harbaugh & co. Herbert had a bad game today, but be mindful of the past: Playoff Game 1: 19-42, 227 yards, 0TD 0 Int - Lost at home Playoff Game 2: 17-32, 194 yards, 1TD, 0 Int - Lost on the road Playoff Game 3: 14-31, 137 yards, 0TD, 2 Int - Lost on the road (41-0) Playoff Total: 50-105, 558 yards, 1TD, 2 Int - 0-3 Playoff Record These are the playoff statistics of 2x Super Bowl winner and 4x Super Bowl participant, Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning after his first 3 playoff games..(and the 41-0 loss was with Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Edgerrin James) 🤔
I love how Peyton has become the comp for all the people trying to explain a playoff poor-performer. In none of those years did Peyton have the league's #1 scoring defense. The Chargers had the league's stingiest defense in terms of points and managed to lose seven times in 18 games (and got blown away today).
Like the Jags game . I TOLD my brother this game was OVER by 1/ 2 time & I was correct , again ! Like I was in the Jags game . NOW unlike the Jags game, if we ARE to lose , I"LL take the AS# kicking like this game , when You KNOW , you have no chance .
I said the exact same thing on another channel. This reminded me totally how's the Jaguars playoffs game. You could just see it slipping away and feel it and it's like somebody that's stuck in an avalanche and your body is getting cold and the numbness and finally your Consciousness just goes. It felt like we were bleeding out and there was nothing we could do about it. I just have to attribute it to coaches decisions because they could have put Zeke Elliott in when Dobbins was not effective etcetera there were no changes they made by the coaching staff. But yeah just like the Jaguars game much to do about nothing. I just have to think it was coaching staff dropped the ball somewhere. And as someone said maybe the fires in LA had something to do with the players mindset. Good excuse as any right?
I’ll give this Harbaugh / Herbert one more season. Got 10 draft picks, 100 mil in $$. Get him weapons, and talent. If this happens again, draft another QB its never going to happen.
No, 3 head coaches, 3 offensive coordinators and 4 bad defenses in his first 5 years? No he is not Dak, who has never been on a team as bad as the Chargers the past 5 years. And I don't go for this "Chargering" nonsense anymore. They have 1 decent receiver ( a rookie) and nothing else. I have said all year, they did not have the horses. A well developed front 7 exposed all this. It will be corrected. All this will be corrected, and talent will be added. Trust this 46 year Charger fan, despite yesterday, the future looks extremely bright!
You get what you pay for. Didn’t want to bring a key piece on offense after losing Allen, Williams, Ekeler. Can’t expect Mcconkey (rookie), Dissly, QJ to carry us like that
Hortiz inherited the worst cap situation in the league along with a roster which had plenty of areas to address so who did you expect them to bring in ? Moving on from Williams was a no brainer. And Allen wouldn’t restructure his contract.
We went from having 4 stars on offense to 1 star. They definitely could’ve brought someone in or made a trade if the were serious about winning this year.
Herbert was immediately under pressure much of the game. There was no running game, and no one could catch the ball. The seemed to be totally unprepared for the intensity of the playoffs. The defense was okay, but they gave up a lot of yards and a lot of points. That being said, they'll draft well and have $ for free agents. They'll be better next year.
The defense was okay? They gave up a TD, then a FG that wouldn't have happened if coaches had better time management. Then a FG that only happened because the refs reversed a James INT. And finally a garbage time TD when the game was basically over. I will say that more talent is needed. The play where Stroud scooped a fumble and got a long completion should have been a sack if we had better Edge rushing. Although they also got robbed on not getting a safety on intentional grounding.
If a team like the Giants, Seahawks, or Saints comes calling... I say we let Herbert go. They will send us so many picks and we can get a QB that gives us a chance in the postseason
Felt like a longer game in the 2nd quarter. We had like 5-6 possessions and only had 2 field goals to show for. Even if we won, we weren’t getting away with that next round
Herbert reminds me of Stafford. He is a great player but has no help. If it wasn’t for Ladd Mcconky the chargers would be a bottom 5 team. Move Herbert to a another team with a good coach and good weapons he probably goes far. Hell after stafford retires from the rams we’ll gladly take him
In the Chiefs game Herbert gave the bolts the lead and the defense let mahomes drive down the field eat up the clock and win the game. Tell me again how great the defense is.

So Roman made Herbert throw 4 INTs? Roman made Herbert meltdown against the Jags 3 years ago? I bet you think Roman is also the reason Herbert is 9-28 against teams with winning records in his career right? Delusional.
Herbert isn't choking. HOW MANY TIMES did he go through his progressions, and find NOBODY? He NEVER had a solid pocket, he was rushing throws because he had no protection. Dump Herbert? SO stupid.
Keep the faith Bolt nation. This roster needs another year or 2 to be able to compete against the AFC elites. This year was an incredible start to something special. And Herbert is the man to get us there. Just like Peyton Manning he will grow from these playoff failures and be better for it
Kenjon Barner, Greg Roman and a bottom 5 WR room is what Lamar had to deal with for four years in Baltimore and he had to be the team's leading rusher all four of those years, on top of that. This is why Ravens fans defended Lamar's playoff struggles. Two years away from Roman and he already has two playoff wins in three games. You may be giving Roman grace now, but I'm warning you. The more time goes on, the more you will realize that much of what you said about his tendencies won't change.
8:50 That’s also how Greg Roman calls play’s. We saw that a lot with the Ravens in those dames situations when they were their and he directed that offense
Yes, many great quarterbacks have struggled in their early playoff games but went on to have legendary careers. Early playoff struggles are not uncommon, as young quarterbacks often face intense pressure, tough competition, and limited postseason experience. Here are some notable examples: 1. Peyton Manning • Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2 • Manning lost his first two playoff games in 1999 and 2000, throwing one touchdown and two interceptions across both games. • Outcome: Manning eventually won two Super Bowls, was named Super Bowl MVP, and is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. 2. John Elway • Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2 • Elway lost his first two playoff games in 1983 and 1984, including a blowout loss in his postseason debut (31-7 against Seattle). • Outcome: Elway went on to win back-to-back Super Bowls and retired as one of the most clutch quarterbacks in NFL history. 3. Steve Young • Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2 • Before becoming the 49ers’ starter, Young struggled in his early postseason games, losing both his first playoff appearances with the Buccaneers and early starts for San Francisco. • Outcome: Young eventually led the 49ers to a Super Bowl title, earning MVP honors in Super Bowl XXIX. 4. Drew Brees • Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2 • Brees lost his first two playoff games with the San Diego Chargers in 2004 and 2006, including a heartbreaker in overtime to the Jets. • Outcome: Brees went on to become the all-time passing leader (before Tom Brady surpassed him) and won Super Bowl XLIV, earning MVP honors. 5. Troy Aikman • Playoff Record in First Game: 0-1 • Aikman lost his playoff debut in 1991, throwing for just 114 yards with no touchdowns. • Outcome: Aikman went on to win three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys and is now in the Hall of Fame. 6. Eli Manning • Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2 • Manning lost his first two playoff games in 2005 and 2006, including a shutout loss to the Panthers (23-0). • Outcome: Eli became one of the most clutch playoff quarterbacks, winning two Super Bowls and defeating Tom Brady’s Patriots in both. What This Means for Justin Herbert Struggles in early playoff games do not define a quarterback’s career. Many legends took time to adjust to the intensity of the postseason and improve their teams around them. If Herbert can continue to develop and gain more playoff experience, he has the tools to eventually lead his team to postseason success.
I feel bad for Herbert, who was clearly pressing. Now pressure applied on 53% of all drop backs, dropped balls aside, and getting away from the running game did not help. Coach will fix this, but I must say my heart is broken. The addition of talent will help, they have money and a brain trust like never before. The future looks bright. As for Herbert, more Harbaugh will do wonders for him. 11 wins is ok for a " rebuilding year."
So Roman made Herbert throw 4 INTs? Roman made Herbert meltdown against the Jags 3 years ago? I bet you think Roman is also the reason Herbert is 9-28 against teams with winning records in his career right? Delusional.
Who you talking about? Because Lamar gets the same unfair criticism Herbert gets, meanwhile Joe and Mahomes can do no wrong, Mahomes had a bad year statistically and he still gets the best madden ratings meanwhile threw mad interceptions.
McConkey had 197 yards and Herbert had 242 yards passing. 81.4% of the yards thrown. I wonder what the highest ever % (in a playoff or regular season game) is for a receiver.
QJ allows the ball to hit him in the chest, then he catches the BOUNCE off his chest. THAT'S his fundamentals. He has NO NFL HANDS, period. Get rid of him.
The biggest concern with Herbert is that he has no scrambling ability. He simply can't extend a play like elite QBs can do (Mahomes, Lamar, Josh Allen). Herbert reminds me of 40 year old Rivers when the pocket collapses, resulting in a sack or hero ball. He might not be the guy for us after all.
I’m a charger fan but wen I watched this game i jus see a qb with more ability scrambling keepin plays alive after fumbled snaps he was getting thru his reads faster after he threw the pick
@mistermajestic9352 you're saying that about manning after the fact. By 2002, he was 0-3 in the playoffs and had no mvps yet. Going by your logic, you would be down on peyton and wrongfully write him off. Time will tell on Herbert.
Ok everyone, let’s all just calm down and put this into perspective. Yes, this was another very disappointing loss. We Charger’d it up again, for sure. But let’s also keep in mind that this was year 1 of this rebuild that’s underway and we won 11 games and made it into the playoffs. It WILL get better from here, you have to believe that. That being said, here’s my assessment: Justin Herbert: Anyone who’s yelling about replacing Justin Herbert, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just need some time to calm down and start thinking rationally again. Justin Herbert is a top five QB in this league. He’s THE reason why Jim Harbaugh chose the LA Chargers job, because it sure as hell wasn’t the ownership or any other reason. There are 8-9 teams in the NFL who have a legit starting QB and the rest of the teams are desperately looking for one. Herbie is in his fifth season and already on his third coaching staff and has had very little help in regards to the talent around him and the play from the defense (until this season). Yes, this wasn’t his best game, but how many of his passes were dropped? How was the play calling? How was the protection? How was the running game? What happened to the defense in the second half? If you think they should get rid of Justin Herbert, you are either still really emotional or you just simply don’t know shit about football. Play calling: I’ve had issues with the play calling all season, but I thought it was especially bad in this game. When Ezekiel Elliott was signed this week, I figured the game plan would’ve been to come out and just hammer the Texans with all three RBs from the get-go. The strength of the Texans D is their two edge rushers. A good way to neutralize them would be to run the ball at them. And when it was 6-0 in a very slow game (at that point), that was the right time to do it. Yes, the run game struggled early but that’s how it starts a lot of times. That’s why you keep hammering on them and stay with it. But once you fall behind, that window closes. I also remain baffled as to why when it’s 3rd and 17, we call a play were the primary receiver is catching the ball at or behind the line of scrimmage and it’s on him to convert that third down solely off run after catch. When it’s third and 17 you run an 18 yard route. Not only is that a fundamental of football but it’s common f**k’n sense. I completely understand that when the players don’t execute it doesn’t matter how good the game plan is, but the game plan and the play calling both need to improve dramatically for next season. And my last take on this: what happened to the old roll-out pass play? When it's 3rd and a yard or 4th and inches, there’s no better play when you have a big, mobile QB than having him fake a handoff and roll out, giving him a couple passing option or the chance to run. Correct me if I missed it, but I didn’t see one single roll out pass play this season. QJ: Another big game where QJ didn’t even show up. I’m done with QJ and I think it’s time the team moved on. He’s not mentally tough enough, he’s not clutch enough, and he was a waste of a first-round pick. If I was Joe Hortiz, I’d use QJ to move up in the draft somewhere in the first few rounds. There’s a GM and coaching staff out there who’d take a chance on him, but I’ve seen enough. Big time players make big time plays in big time games. QJ will never be that. Will Dissly: Dissly has been good for a drop in every game this season and his two drops yesterday absolutely killed the team. I've heard people say all season things along the line of catching the ball isn’t Dissly’s game, he’s a blocking TE and asking him to catch the ball so much isn’t really fair to him, and so on. He is a professional football player and those were two very catchable passes that he couldn’t make. Herbert gets stuck with four INTs but that one INT was all Will Dissly. Also keep in mind that thanks to Easton Stick, we didn’t have Hayden Hurst all season because Stick got him injured in preseason with one of his terrible passes. Interior O-line: The interior of the O-line has been bad all season and they were atrocious in this game. They were the reason why Herbert had no time to get a pass off and why we couldn’t run the ball. Bozeman scored major points with me in the Saints game when he went after that one dirtbag, but we’ve got to get better at Center and at both Guard positions. For those of you who’ve been Charger fans for a while, take a look at the Marty Schottenheimer approach of drafting and acquiring offensive linemen. The 2006 Chargers line that paved the way for LT’s record breaking season was 4/5 Big 10 guys. LG Kris Deilman - Indiana, C Nick Hardwick - Purdue, RG Mike Goff - Iowa, RT Shane Olivea - Ohio State. Those big Midwest farm boys make great O-lineman. Take a look at how many of those guys are currently on the great O-lines throughout the league. Dicker: When a kick is blocked and the ball stays behind the line of scrimmage, IT’S A LIVE BALL. How many times have you seen a team block a kick and return it?! It’s not an incomplete pass! Professional football players have got to know the rules of the game they’re being paid millions to play. No football IQ, really bonehead play; very disappointing. Ladd McConkey: Another game where the only WR to show up was the under-sized rookie. The Chargers WR room has got to be the most underperforming group in the league. If you take away the 86 yd TD, Ladd still had 8 catches for 111! This offseason, there needs to be a complete overhaul at the WR position. Aside from Ladd, I’d bring back Simi Fehoko because I think he could play QJ’s role better than QJ and he’s a dawg on special teams, Derius Davis for his return abilities, and literally nobody else. I said this before and I’ll say it again: Ladd McConkey will be to the Chargers for the next decade, what Lance Alworth was for the first decade. Officiating: I’ve seen a lot worse and I don’t feel any of this would’ve mattered had the team been firing on all cylinders, but that was a very questionable missed call on that intentional grounding in the endzone, and that absolutely was a catch and a fumble. However, had they won, the Chargers would’ve played KC and Jawan Taylor would’ve been allowed to line-up at H-Back and hold every play, and Mahomes would’ve been given second chances on every third down play that they failed to convert. This was a disappointing end to a pretty good season and I know it will get a lot better. Another offseason of free agency acquisitions and another good draft, the Chargers will be legitimate contenders for the Super Bowl in 2025, and I think they will be in the Super Bowl in 2026.
I was there, upper level, 50 yard line. This was not on Herbert. The defense gave up 20 or less. Need Coleman to step up at LB last year. Favre threw 6 picks in a playoff game. Montana was benched in the playoffs. Manning and Lamar lost. Their first two playoff games. Give me a break. Talk to me in 10 years. Dan, tell me WHY Herbert had a bad game. Was he bad, or did the team around him fail him. I don’t think ANY QB wins that game in that situation. The only pick I put on Herbert was the pick six when he pressed instead of taking the sack. That WAS grounding in the end zone. Stroud dropped straight back and threw at the top of his drop, it was a safety. There was. Not evidence to overturn the James INT. Every major call went against the Boltz. BUT, they still didn’t deserve to win. The offensive line couldn’t protect Herbert or run the ball and NOBODY except Ladd could get open.
This team needs an entire evaluation stating with the qb at helm. my man busted under pressure but its not all his fault or is it? He seems to think so the

The more likely explanation is the Chargers have never been a winning organization for the past 50 years and Harbaugh can’t magically erase that in ONE season. This team is coming, they need another year or 2 before they can take down the AFC giants.
Stan the man Humphries went further than all of em’ !
Roman isnt the problem.
@@michaelbell75 you are smoking the strong stuff...Roman is the biggest part of the problem.

A different OC isn’t going to improve the Chargers interior OL nor is a different OC going to change the fact that Ladd is their receiver who consistently creates separation.
Yeah, I must concur as a ravens fan. Greg Roman can only take you so far, especially a quarterback like Herbert.
everyone calling out herbert had EVERY right to do so.

@thedanz Justin Herbert is 0-2 in the playoffs.. Joe Burrow is 5-2. Let that sink in..
@thedantetaviantz Herbert did not snif playoff in his whole carrier
Ok, let’s give burrow Johnston/McConkey and give herbert Chase/Higgins and let’s see how they do.
In a passing league, it will take a while to go to a past where you run and play defense. But Harbaugh will get us there.
It may be a passing league but the running game has been a big component for the Packers, Eagles, Ravens, and Lions who are some of the best teams.
Harbaugh is taking you straight to Hell!😂😂😂😂
Bottom line is Houston gave Chargers a quarter & a Half window to take the game over and get a big lead,Chargers failed to take advantage and gave Houston confidence till they woke up.
Quentin Johnston owns half of that first pick. Did nothing to prevent it
This can no longer be acceptable to say it’s an O.C.
Rivers never won a championship.
why the hell didn't they use Ezekiel Elliott at all after Dobbins was ineffective? what was the point of signing him?
For later games in case RB got hurt
It was just an insurance in case we advance
Needed more screen passes to Dobbins
Just bad !!
Its pretty sad that as a chargers fan you know the game is over and a LOSS the moment we scored to make it 6-0.
It showed how gutless harbaugh is by not going for it on 4th down.
Yall love Herbert too much im tired of us giving excuses this the same thing different coach he is good but he not good enough to beat elite qbs cj stroud literally out played Herbert our defense got tired we got a fumble then pick and Herbert gave the ball right bac
He should go into Hollywood...Looking like the 6'6 Brad Pitt! He'll probably be more successful then playing in the NFL. 😂
If you give a QB no time to throw and no receivers to throw to he isn't going to be effective.
Last thing to add. The most embarrassing thing about that game was how many empty seats there were in that stadium. They were everywhere, from premium to “cheap seats”. Very poor showing by the hometown crowd.
Ya had a super weak schedule and anytime ya played a good team ya folded! I was hoping ya would pull a rabbit tho
Brady looked like shit his last year with New England, and then he threw for 5k and 40 touchdowns the next year when he had weapons
Apparently they weren't an inferior opponent since they just curb stomped your weak ass team.
Didn't look inferior to me
Inferior? That's the problem with all you CHOKER fans. Most of you just have your heads stuffed up Justin Sherberts 💩 hole and never analyze true Football statistics.
Inferior huh?!😂😂😂😂😂😂🤡
Truthfully, the Chargers weren't a serious playoff contender this year, although it was a good first season reshuffle under Harbaugh & co.
Herbert had a bad game today, but be mindful of the past:
Playoff Game 1: 19-42, 227 yards, 0TD 0 Int - Lost at home
Playoff Game 2: 17-32, 194 yards, 1TD, 0 Int - Lost on the road
Playoff Game 3: 14-31, 137 yards, 0TD, 2 Int - Lost on the road (41-0)
Playoff Total: 50-105, 558 yards, 1TD, 2 Int - 0-3 Playoff Record
These are the playoff statistics of 2x Super Bowl winner and 4x Super Bowl participant, Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning after his first 3 playoff games..(and the 41-0 loss was with Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Edgerrin James) 🤔
I love how Peyton has become the comp for all the people trying to explain a playoff poor-performer. In none of those years did Peyton have the league's #1 scoring defense. The Chargers had the league's stingiest defense in terms of points and managed to lose seven times in 18 games (and got blown away today).
Yea the overreaction is crazy, 28 other teams would sell their 1st born to have Herbert
Is Herbert our AFC Dak???
Romo **
No, 3 head coaches, 3 offensive coordinators and 4 bad defenses in his first 5 years? No he is not Dak, who has never been on a team as bad as the Chargers the past 5 years. And I don't go for this "Chargering" nonsense anymore. They have 1 decent receiver ( a rookie) and nothing else. I have said all year, they did not have the horses. A well developed front 7 exposed all this. It will be corrected. All this will be corrected, and talent will be added. Trust this 46 year Charger fan, despite yesterday, the future looks extremely bright!

JUSTIN SHERBERT!
The Chargers proved to the world they are still The Chargers! lol
The offensive line was completely destroyed, that causes everything else to go to shit. been major problem all year
Enjoy that bye week chargers! LETS GO TEXANS

If a team like the Giants, Seahawks, or Saints comes calling... I say we let Herbert go. They will send us so many picks and we can get a QB that gives us a chance in the postseason
He has a no trade clause you can't trade him for one. Two there are no QBs even remotely close to good in the next few drafts.

Justin had no help from the o-line,receivers,Playcalling..What is he supposed to do..he was left out to dry…
exactly ....... Herbert has no weapons, no protection, he's NOT the problem
He's a statute in the pocket. Has no scrambling or ability to extend a play. Lamar would have been ability to run and get 1st downs.
It's mostly roman, but Herbert wasn't picking up the blitz and throwing to the hot. It happened multiple times. He played like a bad QB
Hell after stafford retires from the rams we’ll gladly take him
Herbert once again folds in the playoffs
The defense is sick and tired of bailing out Justin Herbert. Who is the multimillion dollar QB that supposed to lead the way?
In the Chiefs game Herbert gave the bolts the lead and the defense let mahomes drive down the field eat up the clock and win the game. Tell me again how great the defense is.

That’s also how Greg Roman calls play’s.
Here are some notable examples:
1. Peyton Manning
• Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2
• Manning lost his first two playoff games in 1999 and 2000, throwing one touchdown and two interceptions across both games.
• Outcome: Manning eventually won two Super Bowls, was named Super Bowl MVP, and is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
2. John Elway
• Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2
• Elway lost his first two playoff games in 1983 and 1984, including a blowout loss in his postseason debut (31-7 against Seattle).
• Outcome: Elway went on to win back-to-back Super Bowls and retired as one of the most clutch quarterbacks in NFL history.
3. Steve Young
• Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2
• Before becoming the 49ers’ starter, Young struggled in his early postseason games, losing both his first playoff appearances with the Buccaneers and early starts for San Francisco.
• Outcome: Young eventually led the 49ers to a Super Bowl title, earning MVP honors in Super Bowl XXIX.
4. Drew Brees
• Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2
• Brees lost his first two playoff games with the San Diego Chargers in 2004 and 2006, including a heartbreaker in overtime to the Jets.
• Outcome: Brees went on to become the all-time passing leader (before Tom Brady surpassed him) and won Super Bowl XLIV, earning MVP honors.
5. Troy Aikman
• Playoff Record in First Game: 0-1
• Aikman lost his playoff debut in 1991, throwing for just 114 yards with no touchdowns.
• Outcome: Aikman went on to win three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys and is now in the Hall of Fame.
6. Eli Manning
• Playoff Record in First Two Games: 0-2
• Manning lost his first two playoff games in 2005 and 2006, including a shutout loss to the Panthers (23-0).
• Outcome: Eli became one of the most clutch playoff quarterbacks, winning two Super Bowls and defeating Tom Brady’s Patriots in both.
What This Means for Justin Herbert
Struggles in early playoff games do not define a quarterback’s career. Many legends took time to adjust to the intensity of the postseason and improve their teams around them. If Herbert can continue to develop and gain more playoff experience, he has the tools to eventually lead his team to postseason success.
and how many QBs have sucked in the playoffs and never made it big........??
The only positive from this game is that they get a better draft choice. Hopefully it will be Ashton Jeanty!
lol. Jeanty will be long gone by the Chargers first pick
@ hopefully they can trade up for him. He is listed as number 19 pick in the latest draft last I saw.
Let’s just admit it he’s nowhere better than Daniel Jones
I feel bad for Herbert, who was clearly pressing. Now pressure applied on 53% of all drop backs, dropped balls aside, and getting away from the running game did not help. Coach will fix this, but I must say my heart is broken. The addition of talent will help, they have money and a brain trust like never before. The future looks bright. As for Herbert, more Harbaugh will do wonders for him. 11 wins is ok for a " rebuilding year."
told you Roman would break Herbert by end of season
So Roman made Herbert throw 4 INTs? Roman made Herbert meltdown against the Jags 3 years ago? I bet you think Roman is also the reason Herbert is 9-28 against teams with winning records in his career right? Delusional.

They going to baby Burrow and Hebert, Allen and criticize Mahomes and Jackson, we know how that go.
Mahomes can’t be criticized but it would be funny if Daniels has a bad playoff game and people crush him 😂
Who you talking about? Because Lamar gets the same unfair criticism Herbert gets, meanwhile Joe and Mahomes can do no wrong, Mahomes had a bad year statistically and he still gets the best madden ratings meanwhile threw mad interceptions.
McConkey had 197 yards and Herbert had 242 yards passing. 81.4% of the yards thrown. I wonder what the highest ever % (in a playoff or regular season game) is for a receiver.
5 years isn't enough, what BS. He isn't a winner, he will never be.
5 years of crap coaches and crap rosters
Tbh this is really the first year with a good coach, give him another year before we label him a guy who isn't elite

THAT'S his fundamentals. He has NO NFL HANDS, period. Get rid of him.
I'll happily take JJ McCarthy over Herbert.
Screw you bandwagon
I can’t defend Herbert anymore, until he proves to win big games, just can’t call him elite
50-0 BS. Herbert is a very fine QB, I say that, but he has NEVER been a winner, never.
He had 4 picks because he isn't a playoff QB. He is not a winner. 5 years is enough to know what you got, he IS NOT A WINNER
Look who his throwing too🤣🤡
Same was said about peyton manning
yeah right, dump Herbert and draft a rookie QB? Brilliant.
@@addster124Don't even compare Sherbert to Manning. 😂😂
That being said, here’s my assessment:
Justin Herbert: Anyone who’s yelling about replacing Justin Herbert, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just need some time to calm down and start thinking rationally again.
Herbert is trash😂
Shut up he is great
@@JeffFinken-ms8bxgreat at accomplishing nothing 😂
@@JeffFinken-ms8bx don’t be delusional, bro he’s a stats QB not a winner
@@JeffFinken-ms8bxGet off your knees 😂
The key to the Chargers offense was the OL protecting Herbert and failed miserably.
Pete, Kenyon, and Dr. need to do their homework.
They were looking forward to play the cheifs next week and completely forgot they were playing this week against houston..lol
They should really consider bringing in another QB if this next season does not work with Justin Gerber
He seems to think so the
Herbert is still the guy, we are a few important pieces short of competing for a SB.
He’s a robot he can not create and be a true competitor. Competitors welcome.
Maybe the real question should be is Herbert the right guy for the job considering his losing record in big games??
The Duke says,Now that CJ has found his wheels, I'm giving him a new name. Cobra Jet Stroud
What did I teach you?
