I thought of something more tragic. Bison takes over ed's body and balrog tries to beat bison out of his body. Trying to call for ed while fighting. Probably by calling him weak for letting bison taking over his body or something.
Not to mention Balrog’s name actually was supposed to be M. Bison (a nod to his inspiration Mike Tyson) but they decided to give it to the final boss and give the boxer another name.. Balrog!
I've never been a boxer fan or even care much for him, but this is the BEST theme in the game right now. The blend of everything in the theme is perfect and fitting for this character. Makes me want to pick up Balrog as a main.
this sounds like the theme thats play when balrog pulls a face-turn and punches M.bison when hes close to conquering the world and finally realizes the full weight of what he's been helping with, and finally decides to use his fists for good
I think they're setting that up for a later game since Balrog ended up caring about Ed after he rescued him showing that even though he's greedy Balrog still has some humanity in him unlike Vega who murders innocent people because he thinks they're ugly and only saved the Dolls because he thought them beautiful, projecting his own narcissism onto them. And then there's Bison who's pure evil.

Balrog had amazing character development in Street Fighter 5, seeing his more caring side around Ed was so nice and proof that he's capable of empathy and I think this theme reflects that ❤

I never liked SF5 but the day Balrog was announced I was so hyped only to be salty at how garbage the game felt. A shame because Rog is an amazing character in it and his theme goes hard. I haven't tried 6 yet and will wait a bit to see if he ever comes back as DLC. I'll await your return, my king.
