I feel like you're expecting dalle to match or outdo you. That's not really what it's for especially when it comes to the expression. If you generate a variant it'll do it's best to copy what it sees, and if you prompt it a description of your own art it'll try to recreate all those details without any context of the actual asthetic. It's a great way to consider what other people might be seeing either when they look at your work or when you describe your work to them. It's incredible that we have a machine that can do that. But ultimately it's not that artist, you are and your talent and flair makes that martian rose mean things when the variations just don't hit the same
I agree! Part of it is just for the fun of this video of course. I use it in my projects sometimes to generate textures or add variation to textures which aren't under a microscope.
