It’s been a pleasure sharing our lives with the world and especially people like you who have been following along since the beginning. Thanks for coming along for the ride ❤️
Hi, I wonder if could join you guys or if you know some small social meeting for hiking near Mount Soyosan, or north side of Gyonggido, please leave me a comment!
Great videos and welcome to Korea! I haven't been to Soyosan, but I've hiked most of the other mountains you've been to so far. A couple suggestions in case you haven't heard about them: Seoul has a 157 km trail called the Seoul Dulle-gil (서울둘레길) that is basically a circle around the city. I would recommend it to anyone new to the city to get the lay of the land. You can also stamp a book and get a certificate when you complete the course. Many cities here have similar trails. If you have a couple weeks free, the grandest and oldest of these is the Jeju Olle-gil (제주올레길) which circles Jeju island where the volcanic terrain is totally different from what you see in mainland Korea. For mountains near Seoul, I also recommend Gwanggyosan (광교산). There's actually a trail from Cheonggyesan, but that's quite a challenge to do in a day. Namhansanseong (남한산성) is also fun - you can hike in a circle around a restored mountain fortress. I assume all the national parks are already on your list, so I won't mention those. Korea's version of the Appalachian Trail is the Baekdu-daegan (백두대간). There's a Facebook group for this trail that you can find if you want to look into it. Many people complete the course by doing weekend section hikes but I haven't started this since I've been thinking of just walking the full trail just before I leave Korea, whenever that happens. Happy hiking!
This is sprinkled with so much amazing information! We have seen and heard of both the Jeju circuit and the Baekdudaegan! This is such a wonderful country for hiking. We are planning on going out to Seoraksan and Jirisan in the near future!
@@LetsTrekTogether Nice! Sobaeksan was actually one the very first national parks I went to in Korea! Depending on which way you go, you might find yourself in Danyang-gun which is a beautiful town with great views and the Gosu cave which is worth checking out. (This is a cave you can just walk through on paths without any special preparation.) It is indeed a great country for hiking!
Ohh, and I actually made a RUclips video of my most recent Seoraksan hike if you are curious. Doing this, I learned that even making a poorly edited video like mine takes a huge amount of time - so much respect for your work here!
@@ericmoberg9316 ah that was a wonderful video! It makes us even more excited to go visit those mountains. Hope to see more Vlogs in the future! It is a lot of work, but for memory sake it’s worth every second 👍🏻
Very nice vlog! Thank you! I look forward to getting back into local trails during weekends and gym weekdays to prep. For the 100 Mile Wilderness in Sept.
So jealous you get to experience back to back Maine falls! Enjoy the heck out of that amazing AT stretch. If you have any questions about logistics let us know. Thank you for keeping up with our lives LightWalker! ❤️❤️
Thank you as always for the wonderful support. We get all of our tracks off of the RUclips account Audio Library. The two tracks we used in this Vlog were “Smart”- LiQWYD and “Allie”- RYYZN

Any snakes or spiders in South korea just curious
There’s a few snakes but we haven’t seen any. There are a lot of bugs in this country but mostly just annoying gnats and mosquitos!
In addition to snakes, you have to be careful about ticks and wild boars. On the whole, the wildlife in Korea is quite tame compared to the US.
