I'm sure Shannon's mom gave permission, and he didn't reveal anything related to Hippa Laws, he didn't say what treatment she took, oh even how or what took a turn for the worse at the end. It was all general information.
I haven't heard Perez's name in so long, I forgot about him. There are so many other Channels, and News coverage out there, that some of these people are like a pebble in the ocean. I hope he makes a comeback.

One thing I love about Shannon is that she spoke up on giving people who have cancer jobs. We think they should rest and focus on healing, but work can also help be a distraction for those who have it. My younger brother helped me with some assignments and he was super diligent and very smart. I was so blessed at seeing the professional side to him and worked with him as a colleague. ❤ 😢

She clearly had an incredibly rough go of it. However, someone who chooses hospice care when treatment is no longer working is also very brave. It's very difficult to come to the realization that it's time to say when (on advice of doctors, etc.) and is not to be discounted or dismissed as "giving up" or "quitting". Also, this gives the person the chance to have some time to truly accept what is happening and to have a peace about it. Fighting until the very last second, to the bitter end is the really hard way. Hospice offers a more peaceful option.

Perez, I don't think it makes you a hypocrite for wanting to know. You clearly care about Shannen, so I think it just makes you human with curiosity. What I personally have a problem with is Shannen's doctor. I know Shannen was an open book, but I think its very insensitive that the doctor is coming out with all the personal things Shannen had/was going through. Especially sharing it SO SOON after her death. Poor Shannen. 😢 I feel so dumb because every little thing makes me cry all over again and I didn't even know Shannen. I wish I had gotten to meet her because she was incredibly inspiring to me. I'm 41 and I was born with spina bifida. I've been hospitalized hundreds of times and have had almost 70 surgeries. When Shannen started her journey with cancer and shared it with the world, she inspired me to be more open, strong, and positive. I started a channel to share some of my journey and educate people. I may have never even thought of doing something like that if Shannen never had. 😢 I pray that she is at peace and pain-free.

Shannon was a proponent about voicing her experience so others could learn from it. Of course this is consistent with what she wanted. Although she was betrayed in life by people close to her, she was vocal about her feelings and wishes about everything in her life. OP doesn't seem to understand her. In the end she took care of those closest to her by finalizing her divorce. This woman had serious willpower and strength. That is how she would want to be remembered along with being a breast cancer champion...
Her doctor was a hero in her eyes and many who have listened to her story.. What he stated was eloquently stated and consistent with what she and her family would have wanted.
