I made one but instead of a black base I did holographic silver glitter, I sealed the glitter then sanded it lightly, the 20 ml of epoxy and then I used a few different blues a pink and instead of white I used rainbow ink (it's almost white). It looks amazing in 8k resolution!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. They all have good parts to learn from. 5:54 *respirator. **6:04* milliliter.(lol) Sand with 220 before cleaning and use primer rather than paint. The "paint and Primer in one" is a way to sell to homeowners. Krud Kutter is a good detergent to use before alcohol. Scrub and rinse with a green or gray sos type pad two or three times. There is sometimes an oil on stainless steel applied before shipping. The "paint and Primer in one" is a way to sell to homeowners. Not an expert on tumblers ,just experience with preparing and painting metal.
Thank you so much for this video. My husband saw me making tumblers for everyone else with glitter and he wants one without so this really helps. Now to give it a try.
I am about to start making tumblers, and have purchased almost everything needed for a glitter tumbler. I know that if I try a design like this, it would be a disaster...... so maybe later...... hehe. But when I do decide to do one like this, I am definitely going to come back to this amazing video. Thank you so much Miss Kiss Kreations!
I love how yours turned out! I gave this a try for my first cup. It started out so pretty but the parts with the ink never cured right and stayed tacky (the clear spaces did just fine). Gonna give it another try with India inks instead of alcohol ink but I have no idea what went wrong on the first try.
How long after mixing your epoxy did you wait before applying it to the tumbler? Also how long did you wait before taking it off and then adding your white? And have you tried the TRex alcohol inks? They are AMAZING!
You may not have shaken the inks very well, especially the white. Or maybe they weren't actually alcohol inks bc when I first started doing resin I bought a set of liquid "resin ink" from Amazon that absolutely wasn't alcohol ink and didn't react with the resin very well at all
Love this❤ Thank you for the tutorial! I do have a question-if you put glitter in the epoxy will you need anther coat of epoxy over the alcohol ink swirl?
Thx for the tip with doing the alcohol wipe down first rather than spraying on afterwards. I am definitely going to try this. I keep getting fish eyes and separation.
I stumbled across your channel and fell in love. I am always looking for something fun to do with my friends kids when they visit. Your chanel rocks. Comment below I second - YT needs a LOVE button. Thank you so much for sharing!
Your tumblers are the best on RUclips bar none. What I would recommend if its possible is to sandblast the tumbler where you will paint then use a self etching primer before paint. It will adhere till the end of time. Love your work!
I really enjoyed your video. I’m looking for a craft to do with my daughter. She’s 19 so this will be pretty fun and if she wants to sell them that will be great.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. I’ve watch several of them and you are so thorough. Your designs are amazing!!! Thank you so very much. I’ve been ordering supplies a little at a time. I’m currently awaiting for them to arrive. Can’t wait to try your ideas 😘
These look great and very professional. My only question is the resin. Although I know they make resin that is safe with food, I didn't realize Amazing Clear Cast was food safe. Is this the only resin you use? Also, how do you prevent resin getting inside the cup?
Looks fantastic only one step that you did leave out is after washing the tumbler with alcohol I would suggest sanding it with 400 grit sandpaper for the paint to stick better incase of chipping so it won't start to peel off and after sanding i would rewash with alcohol again...
So pretty, I have this same tumbler and need one of those pins for it for easy removal, right now its a screw and nut, what size pin is that and where did you find it??
It’s called a cotter pin if that helps, it probably came with the turner. If you have a smaller local hardware store they will definitely have them, but Lowe’s or Home Depot might have them too. I’d bring the arm and screw that’s in there now to make sure you get a pin that’s large enough.
Your mugs are absolutely gorgeous!! I think I have everything to try my first mug but I'm so beyond nervous. You make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing your talents! 💕
I love this technique I’m going to try it! Thank you so much. What do you think would happen if I add glow in the dark powder on top of that layer after it’s dried?

I tried this method tonight and it turned out amazing, thanks so much!
Love it. It looks like blue lightening to me.

I don't sand at the end. But if it works for you then great!
