    Awesome fire man and an awesome video. Does Toronto have more than one fireboat?

    Great video! Really captures the actual size of the fire with the drone shots. Videos from the news didnt make it look like a 6 alarm fire

    In the beginning of the video during the drone footage it appeared as if the water spraying from the elevating platform on the fire boat wasn't hitting the heavy fire coming through the roof but we weren't there in person watching the fire. The fire boat's monitors were definitely wetting down the roof of the fire building where the fire was spreading to. In later footage shot at water level you can clearly seethe fire boat's elevating platform monitor and lower monitor both hitting heavy fire in the building. The Toronto Fire service did an excellent job fighting and containing this large 6 alarm fire. The 4K Guy also did an awesome job shooting video of this fire by land sea, and air. Hats off for a job well done 4K Guy.

    This is why I say command should have a drone. If they had one here they would see the boat is doing NOTHING but watering the pavement.

    • @thesisko4031
      @thesisko4031 6 лет назад

      Police and Fire should have drones with infared vision too to help find people in water or just anywhere.

      I know it's been over a year since this was posted, but it's my first time to see it. I think the fireboat actually had 4 master streams coming off of it plus supplying two engines with water which was probably going around the building to other trucks. So it wasn't just watering the concrete. I think they should have had another fireboat to provide master streams on the back side of the fire.

    Why does the Montreal FD still use the smaller hose when pushing water from the pumpers to the ladders? Is there a limiting factor such as how much water they can get from a hydrant without causing damage?

      This isn't Montreal.

    If we had a 6 alarm here in Long Beach, all of our units would be called and we would rely on Orange County Fire, Los Angeles County Fire, and Los Angeles City Fire to take calls.

    great drone work great quality video.what i would like to know is what is the boat doing besides wasting its time.the water is nowhere near the fire.it would have been better used in the lower sections behind the boat

    • @Toronto324
      @Toronto324 7 лет назад

      Tim Walker no you don't understand, the reason they didn't extinguish the fire in the lower sections behind the boat was because the fire is already wild and everything is burnt already, the only thing they can do is prevent the fire from damaging more parts of the building, exactly what the fire boat was doing in the first place and the ladder trucks in the beginning of the video.

    Building is a total loss and not threatening any other structures. Why are you even putting water on it? Half of the water is being blown away in the wind anyway. All that water just feet away in the harbor and only one fire boat. Not criticizing so much as wondering where the common sense is here. Amazing video footage, though!

    It is so sad to see all those firetruck aound and dont use their deluge gun o pour more water out, the where next to plenty of water(Lake Ontario) they just had to drop their succion hose in and put twice and more water in there, The same is tru four the fire boat.

  • @chrisboek2346

    If that fire boat doesn't have enough capacity to pump its tower plus all of the other nozels it has it has no business being used the smallest boat that new York has is able to pump 18000 gpm from one nozzle not counting the others plus it carries foam 5000 gallons of it plus hose

    Great use of the drone. We use drones and I was surprised that you are a civilian. This looked like a Department drone Op. Looks like correct response. Maintain perimeter to prevent expansion. Consideration of water overflow into port, environment is a biggie now. Building is a write off. Once fuel expended the heat dies down and mop up begins.

    It looks like not 1 ladder or tower is even hitting the fire.On top of that the 2 fire boats looked docked & the 1 boat looks like they have a 50ft boom on it but its docked & that does'nt look like their not hitting the fire either...W.T.F.

    Already c a problem with this picture their aireal attack is off.They need the ladder trucks close 2 the trailers who ever made the decision 2 let the ladder trucks stay their was a big mistake.....

    • @DiscordC
      @DiscordC 7 лет назад +2

      you don't know much about firefighting, the heat from the fire made it impossible to get the trucks any closer, plus the danger of building collapse, this is not an offensive attack, this is a defensive mode only since the building is already a lost cause their goal isn't to put out this fire since that is impossible, their goal is containment only, and let it burn it self down, they are NOT off, they are trying to prevent further spread of the fire, keep the trailers and trucks from burning. the fire is too big and too hot to do anything but contain it.

    • @chrispartlow4533
      @chrispartlow4533 7 лет назад

      I do understand but when the water isnt even hitttig the fire what so ever u can get a little closer.Not on top of the fire but enoough so i can get mist & the puddles can form some waves...Plus u use the trailers 4 cover
      ....

    • @DiscordC
      @DiscordC 7 лет назад +2

      no you don't understand , nore can you READ, nore can you see what the guy on the tower is seeing. let me repeat for you, the heat from the fire, and risk of the trailers burning made it impossible to get the trucks any closer, the heat from the fire, and risk of the trailers burning made it impossible to get the trucks any closer, have you been trained in fire fighting? are you a firefighter? have you been trained in Indecent command? non of us can see what they can see. sick and tired of you know it all youtube arm chair firefighters. you think you know better then the firechiefs, you DON'T.

    • @golftooter
