    STORYLINE:
Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched through the Swedish city of Malmo on Saturday ahead of its hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest plagued by tensions over Israel's participation.
The protesters toured Malmo's streets while carrying Palestinian flags and chanting slogans, calling for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
Though Eurovision's motto is “united by music,” this year’s event has proven exceptionally divisive.
Israel's participation has attracted large pro-Palestinian demonstrations, with protesters saying the country should be excluded because of its conduct in the war in the Gaza Strip.
