There are 3 more spots to discover there. Those are a bit far away on the same route ahead of the root bridge. It gets one exhausted to reach the end of the route which leads to 'Rainbow Waterfalls' the fourth and final destination but trust me when i say the beauty is worth taking the trouble for.
PS- i could only visit the 3rd spot known as 'Natural Swimming Pool' and had to return due to lack of time. But 9000 steps was definitely worth it. 😅

Then one of our professor said us "You might feel tiring now, but experience you are having you will cherish your whole life" and that is so true... They are amazing!!! Haven't seen them personally to be honest. But the narrative makes it sound like the roots created the bridge naturally though if I am not mistaken it (roots) was "coaxed" for a lack of a better word to form the bridge by the natives over time. 🙂👍

Yes absolutely right. We have been eating this not because we are christan but coz it's the part of tradion or indigenous practices we still maintaing it. The tribes of arunachal, nagaland, mizoram and manipur actually "Mithun" is the product of meat. In arunachal pradesh 'mithun' replaces cow as animal of socio-political significance. The mithun is sacred to a number of tribes including Nyishi, Apatani, Galo, Adi, Mishmi and Sherdupiken.Among all other bovine animals, it is the most preferred meat of the non-vegetarians in the state.

I've seen many videos on Meghalaya but not the way you present it.
So detailed! You covered the myriad of the food culture and By savouring each of the different items, makes it appetizing.
The places you travelled and how to get there, serves as a great itinerary for other tourists.
    Love it.
    Thanks. Keep posting.

It is, but which place holds two Guinness World Records for the most rainfall in a single YEAR and a single MONTH with 22000+ mm and 9000+ mm of rain respectively back in 1866 if not Cherrapunji??
Not even Mawsynram or other places on the planet could beat these records although Cherrapunji's rainfall is declining now.
      You must know this.
Stop insisting that Mawsynram is the wettest place. We know it is tho.

David just to let you know the fact that khasi people eat meat has nothing Todo with religion. Whoever told you that is wrong 🤣. It's simply part of our diet dating back to our ancestors. Rice, meat, fish, eggs, vegetables... it's simply part of our diet. There are many khasis in meghalaya who still follow the indigenous faith the niam.khasi, niam tre and they eat meat cause it's part of their diet. Very disappointed to know that Paul your guide had used religion as an excuse for khasi people to eat meat. WRONG INFORMATION
