  • First in a series I'll do for a summer project. I'll try random programming projects around chess and artificial intelligence. In this first session, I try to write a simple heuristic chess engine. It is very bad at chess. Like, comment, and subscribe! github.com/ber... -- Watch live at / profberthuang

Thanks! I’ll keep posting sessions whenever I randomly have time. This’ll be my hobby project for when I’m procrastinating from real work.

Exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to get some free time in a few weeks to start the project myself.

Is this playlist still useful if I want to use deep learning instead of reinforcement learning ?

Glad you’re interested. The existing code out there, like the Python chess library I’m using, is super mature, so it seems ready for us to start experimenting and see how far we get.

@@berty38 Unfortunately, I had the same feeling and felt that I didn't know exactly where you started. Anyway, I'll go ahead and see if I can figure out the direction in the future. Thank you for this admirable effort.
