And use bamboo or cotton cloth(malmal ka kapda) n microfiber cloth for makeup removal. I feel this little things matters alot, for environment also...
On the contrary I use only transparent one...and chucked out the black ones....looks natural for daily use and never clumpy at all....and you also get a bit of fluttery effect if it works for you.
I dont think so. Its actually more versatile as it can be used on lashes as well as brows quite subtly. I also use it for baby hairs and flyaways. Ofc it depends on your actual needs but as my lashes and brows are quite thick, regular mascara looks too dramatic on me.

Umm, not really because some of the products she mentioned that we don't need are an essential part of a lot of people's makeup/skin care routines. The color bar under eye serum is AMAZINGGGG and really brightens the under eye area along with lightening the dark circles. I need my blusher blended in a very specific way and for that I NEED a powder one as a lipstick won't do it. Each to their own, I guess.
They points you've stated are absolutely bang on and also forces others to think about it! You've actually opened my eyes about so many things! The sheet mast thingy? You wont believe I got 7 of them and I'm crying now😂😂😂
Lipgloss is something I have never bought. I always keep it in the cart only because I feel like I should have atleast one lip gloss being a makeup vlogger/RUclipsr and show it in my videos sometime, but honestly its something I have never owned and I doubt if I would ever get one cause I hardly see myself using it.🤭🤭 also I always use my lipstick as a blush nowadays for everyday looks.🥰
I think you should do one more video of products that we don't need.. Hair and body products.. I've been thinking of ditching shampoos cz my hair texture changed of late and I'm not sure if it's cz of shampoos .. I have never used shampoos like I use now when I was in school but my hair was so good.. no oiliness and perfect straight.. also the shampoo bottles are too much in my home right now.. thinking about good diy hair cleansers.. Good one Jo!
You do need a good hair cleanser made by a reputed brand. I’m currently loving wella’s volume boost for the oily scalp days and coco soul’s hair cleanser for a mild moisturising wash. DIYs are not a great idea for a hair cleanser because PH of a product matters and you won’t be able to test and perfect it at home unless you are a pharmacist/ chemistry student. Just use a mild cleansing shampoo. Also everyone’s hair texture changes over the years due to aging hormones etc. this is normal. Don’t worry. You may want to reduce heating products/ hair coloring etc and use a good conditioner with amodemithicone after shampoo. You may also want to read about hair porosity and choose your conditioner accordingly.
I only shampoo once or twice a month. I have to disagree with the other commenter and say that DIY stuff can be incredible. I do most of my hair washing with powdered herbs, and it works beautifully. That won't be the case with everyone's skin or hair, of course, so your milage may very. But there's no harm in experimenting. Also, unless you're using a shampoo with sulfates in it, which is generally really drying, you should not be using a conditioner with amidimethicone... that will build up over time and cause you problems.
I usually feel stressed after seeing these pretty girls using so many different products on their faces because I know I am never going to have all that budget, space, time and skill. Thanks for this stress buster video 😊
some issues: 1) sheet masks are different than serums, the stuff inside isn’t an actual serum, or else that’d be bad for your skin, serums are supposed to be used in small amounts. serums are highly concentrated and to much is bad. so no one go buy a serum and use it as a mask please lol. 2) some lipsticks can be used as some blush, but they won’t perform or last as well. and metallic and liquid lipstick that dry matte are definitely not good idea at all, they won’t blend or look good in general. some regular bullet lipsticks are also too waxy and don’t blend. 3) eye creams are actually important, not all are the same. regular moisturizers and lotions aren’t ideal for the under eye. that area of skin is VERY sensitive. some are crappy some are great. i genetically have under eye bags and i have dry under eyes. i use the tatcha eye cream, and it was great for me. 4) primers are essentials for some people. for normal skin/ clear skin people typically don’t need it. but for someone like myself, i have dry and acne prone skin, i absolutely need it and the foundation/ concealer/ powder won’t look good will look incredibly dry and it clogs my popes then. 5) you can you concealer as an eye primer. never use both. but eyeprimers are better, they help the shadow blend and perform better, and unlike concealer it prevents your eyelids from being stained. you should at least use something though if you want nice eyeshadow. 6) micellar water isn’t a cleaner. it’s a toner or a way to remove makeup. in a skin care routine there should be: makeup removal cleanser (abt 2 times a week at most) exfoliating toner serum eye cream moisturizer
Same i agree with u on the sheetmask one , personally i have never used them but the thought of wasting rs 100 for just 20 min and throwing it kinda makes me sad, instead investing in a good serum that can be used for months is a better option 😬
Yes! Aloe vera gel literally substitutes sheet masks. In my PM routine, I wash my face (double cleanse), tone it and apply aloe vera gel. Then I let it stay for an hour or so, wash it off and apply a moisturizer. And beauty sleep.
When you told the thing about that unnecessary coloured lipglosses, I felt you 😂 . One clear gloss and we’re good to go !!! Love love love watching your videos!!!! Thank you so much for helping us out really grateful!
I've never bought under eye cream. I use my regular face cream. When I'm extra dry, I use castor oil at night. Then in the morning, my undereye area feels so soft , smooth & comfortable.
I found your channel just two days before ...watched many of your videos in these two days and I became a big fan of you...😄😘 Every videos are really informative....Thanks for sharing...
Completely agree with her. Although one product I do need that works for me is eyeshadow primer with concealer on top and setting it. Concealer and powder alone crease horribly on me. Really enjoyed the video.
Please do a tutorial if the hairstyle you have in the video. I have short hair, and I can’t ever get this kinda great curls that you and Priyanka Chopra have!! Please do it!!
Thinking about how much money I've spent on sheet masks makes me cringe 😭 I always had a feeling they did nothing to my skin anyway. Thanks for talking about these products though!!
Thank you for crediting Whitney and Shweta Vijay. I’m so happy Shweta had the guts to call out sheet mask/ miscellar water and I’m happy you supporting this.
Really enjoyed this video! This is such an important message. The beauty industry produces so much waste, both physically and financially. The constant buying of products is so so bad for the environment and for our wallets. Don't buy crap!
The contour makes shadows on your face so it has to be cool tone..and the bronzer gives warmth on your face so it has to be warm tone..but yeah if you put one on top of the other is pointless and wrong
The blush technique doesnt work for me as i get bumps in my cheeks if i use the lipsticks.. I also have severe dark circles under eye and the best "moisturising" cream i have found so far is missha's MISA GEUM SUL GIYEON korean product. I recommend to anyone who is struggling to find THE ONE for under the eyes!😊
Sometimes I even skip cotton and pads with toners. I just pat it into my skin. And I use washable oil removers or makeup removing balms. Wonderful video More people need to know these
Loved the video thanks for sharing! I think you were talking about eye creasing that happens because of too much product though not sure. I have recently bought a primer and it really changes the game for me. I don't put a proper makeup with all the products but just mix my bb cream and primer and apply a thin layer it just brightens and blends so much better on my skin.
It might be controversial lol but I find foundations useless and don't like applying them. They feel heavy on skin, they leave white patches on your face, they're hard to find in your shade and once you find a foundation without these problems it's expensive as hell 😐 I've often my makeup look better on my face without foundation than with it.
THANK YOU! Full coverage foundation looks SO bad on me. My skin feels...alien. Beauty Gurus fool people by drenching their face in foundation because they have bright, BRIGHT ring lights.
Maybe you don’t have any under eye problem but it’s reeaaally good for those who actually has really dry skin or dark circles under the eyes. Everything else I totally agree with you❤️
Agree on some things. I find that using a toner opposed to micellar water helps stop my skin from breaking out. Also primers tend to stop my skin from getting excessively oily and help my makeup last the whole day. Otherwise oil breaks through every foundation I've tried even with powder. The bumps most people get around their eyes are generally Milia.
Out of curiosity I once tried using eyeshadow as blush & contour- sheer eyeshadow works AMAZING as blush, and weirdly, as a hella pale person normal contour always was too dark so I thought “shadows are blue tinted when you’re in sunlight...” and I used a purple eyeshadow lightly to emphasize the shadows under my cheekbones, and damn... it looked good. Yeah- eyeshadow can do everything, its amazing.
Your so true about eyecreams, I tried undereye cream for a month, I was fed up and yes I didn't see any difference with it. So completely stopped. You have a nice smile jovita
The bumps around the eyes are called milia. I have a few of them and my Korean esthetician says that it’s probably from my eye cream. She told me to keep my skincare simple to prevent them.
You are so spot on, especially with primers, they break me out and does not help my makeup to last in fact you have to wear primers that are compatible with your foundation, sometimes the makeup just slides off. I live in Trinidad where it's always hot and I can assure you primers does nothing for me.
Cecile Marie Sybico well actually lips products are meant for lips not cheeks! I had the same thinking until my clear cheeks got rashes! Now I use liquid blush that’s amazing.
@@oxide5749 I usually use powder blush or a lip & cheek tint. I do have a friend who uses her lipstick instead of blush sometimes and she doesn't break out.
I really only use sheet masks when I travel and my skin is going through the ringer on the plane. If I don’t moisturise well and use a sheet mask I get extremely dry and then a couple hours later I am an oily mess ;-;
agreeing with the blush thing✋ also, it frees your from having to use a brush for the application ( how often do we clean our brushes anyway?) going with my fav lipstick with clean fingers does pretty much the same job✔️
I completely agree about the micellar water but I now use it to clean my makeup brushes because it’s way cheaper than the specific products marketed to clean them. Leaves them really clean and soft and prevents shedding 👍🏼

I agree with everything she said except for the powder blush. Lipsticks do make great cream blushes but I like a powder blush to give a somewhat matte look on the cheeks.
Hi Jovita, I recently started watching your videos and really want to say that you are awesome in your work. If you have any hack for a natural glowing skin (because you have so clear skin no blemishes at all, you look so amazing) without any acne and pimples than please share. 😊
using sheet mask regularly for about a week when my skin breaks out or in really bad condition due to certain reasons (like having to use hard water to cleanse the face when travelling or hormonal imbalance from periods or anything else) once in a while actually really helps me. also i'm a blush junkie as in, i need every shade of blush i can find and since i only wear lipgloss i can't use those as blush. and since i only use lipgloss i need different colored lip gloss and not just one clear one 😂😂 besides these three, the rest make sense to me
1. Definitely with you on the face wipes and Micellar water. I prefer the cleansing oil 100%. I still purchase them BUT only because I get them practically free, less then $1.00. I’m a crazy coupon lady so I refuse to pay full price for a ton of my products lol. 2. Highlighterssssss now I definitely own a bunch of highlighters but that’s only because I have makeup subscriptions... IPSY!! I’m new to makeup so in the beginning I bought some powder highlighters and I realized very quickly that I didn’t like them lol. So I have different color pressed powder highlighters. I think the Huda Beauty highlighter palette is absolutely amazing and I got it in my Ipsy bag. I seriously carry that around because I have different shades in it and it’s pretty compact. 3. I’m guilty of using sheet masks but I aonlh use them, because I have a ton. I agree with you 100% with the waste of product and packaging. I wish Ipsy would stop sending them but that seems to be the thing with all these different subscription services. 4. I’m a new subscriber so forgive me if you already did this but you should make a video on the different subscription services. I have every Ipsy service but I know there are people in the would with boxycharm, Ipsy, fabfitfun, Sephora and all lol. I’m guilty but I’ve woken up and will correct my wrongs lmao.

So glad I found you as a scientist in beauty I teach a lot of this on my channel especially about women using I creams and thinking that it’s the next best thing to change wrinkles etc. on the face the moment you stop using it your skin goes right back to what it was. @@samanthaumoren5764 My powder blush lasts me years, so I only need to buy one every two or three years. I have very sensitive skin and I never have trouble using older powder blush.
I dont like cream blushers :( so powder blushers definitely but I think 1 or 2 maximum is enough in your collection!
The amount of sheetmasks i've bought! I'm cringing now. 😭😭😭
No more!
I feel you there -_- I feel highly guilty now, could've gone for more skincare products with that
Same here, sister. And I brought just 2 till date😩
I bought 48 because they were on sale. Somebody kill me now. Please
Squeeze the sheet mask serum in a jar...n use it everyday for a week.
I feel you girl
I have the same thoughts....i'hv only use 2sheet masks in my life till now. Becuz I feel it doesn't give any results and wastage of money and also environment...right now 'm proud of myself. And use bamboo or cotton cloth(malmal ka kapda) n microfiber cloth for makeup removal. I feel this little things matters alot, for environment also...
Sriya Ash won’t that be too rough for ur skin ?
Transparent mascara is also a unnecessary product.
Never knew such a product is there! Or was it sarcasm!
I'm confused 😬
@@aleyaartim3096 it is a real product
On the contrary I use only transparent one...and chucked out the black ones....looks natural for daily use and never clumpy at all....and you also get a bit of fluttery effect if it works for you.
I dont think so. Its actually more versatile as it can be used on lashes as well as brows quite subtly. I also use it for baby hairs and flyaways. Ofc it depends on your actual needs but as my lashes and brows are quite thick, regular mascara looks too dramatic on me.
Yeah !!
Lip primer, eyeshadow primer, eyelash primer
I've got oily eyelids. Eye Primer is critical. It makes the eyeshadow pop, more saturated and long lasting (up to 8 hours).
You can use concealer and set it with a eyeshadow that matches your skin :)
@@jennnnnnn13 Yeah, I've tried. Any concealer will crease within 2 hours as they're still cream based. The only eye primer which worked for me is Urban Decay original formula, it's sticky texture make the eyeshadow last up to 10 hours.
@@jennnnnnn13 yeah as said, concealer will crease on truly oily eyelids.
Wet n wild drugstore eyelid primer works really well and affordable. Concealer is good too but only for a couple of hours and then it creases.
Use a liquid concealer instead of a cream one. I have oily lids too due to my medications and I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, been using it for almost ten years it has never failed me
How else are we gonna make all the Huda Beauties and Kylie Jenners out there richer then? 🤣🤣

When she said “MAKEUP. WIPES.” I felt that
I almost threw hands when you said gloss, but then you said clear gloss makes more sense whew
I'm going to say eyebrow gel! For brown skin where the hair is dark and face skin is lighter, subtlety is key with brows to avoid looking like a joker
I pray this video reaches every individual on the planet. The most sensible and honest content I've watched in the longest time. THANK YOU.
Mahashweta Bhattacharya yes!
Seriously beauty community is 95% responsible for creating beauty related waste
Oh those PR packages come in such huge boxes with so many extra things which are just a waste
True...
So truee
some issues:
1) sheet masks are different than serums, the stuff inside isn’t an actual serum, or else that’d be bad for your skin, serums are supposed to be used in small amounts. serums are highly concentrated and to much is bad. so no one go buy a serum and use it as a mask please lol.
6) micellar water isn’t a cleaner. it’s a toner or a way to remove makeup. in a skin care routine there should be:
makeup removal
cleanser
(abt 2 times a week at most) exfoliating
toner
serum
eye cream
moisturizer
Mary Madolyn wow girl, u should make a you tube video! Great information
The "BE STRONG, RESIST!" made me a subscriber 👌🏻
God the way she explained the different eyeshadow palettes! 😂 she seemed so angry yet so logical.

The bumps around the eye area is a skin condition called milia.
Fuck you

You do that yrself
I think sometimes it can be KP as well. Sometimes they are genetic. Mine are, I have had them my whole life.
I've never bought under eye cream. I use my regular face cream. When I'm extra dry, I use castor oil at night. Then in the morning, my undereye area feels so soft , smooth & comfortable.
Thanks
I've stopped using many unecessary things because of you. We need more youtubers like you. 😍😍😍 Loads of love from Kochi ❤❤❤
I found your channel just two days before ...watched many of your videos in these two days and I became a big fan of you...😄😘
Every videos are really informative....Thanks for sharing...
Exactly....
Applying Bronzer and contouring together. Doesn't make sense to me.
khushboo taank YEEEESS im so confused about this too
I'm always confused too
The contour makes shadows on your face so it has to be cool tone..and the bronzer gives warmth on your face so it has to be warm tone..but yeah if you put one on top of the other is pointless and wrong
I just use bronzer as contour like whatever
"use the lipstick as a blush, but also do both contouring and bronzer"
Makes no sense at all
The blush technique doesnt work for me as i get bumps in my cheeks if i use the lipsticks.. I also have severe dark circles under eye and the best "moisturising" cream i have found so far is missha's MISA GEUM SUL GIYEON korean product. I recommend to anyone who is struggling to find THE ONE for under the eyes!😊
Same!!!!! I'm guessing it's because some lipsticks have fragrance in it and my skin is sensitive... :(
I am confident about not wasting my hard earned money on under eye creams any more because I never found any under eye cream that really worked..
When you mentioned lipgloss, I was first like "But...but I love my clear shiny gloss" and then I was so relieved you only meant the colored glosses :D
Sometimes I even skip cotton and pads with toners. I just pat it into my skin. And I use washable oil removers or makeup removing balms.
Wonderful video
More people need to know these
Loved the video thanks for sharing!
Thts true it feels like some other person in the mirror, thy look good on tutorials n instagram n pictures
THANK YOU! Full coverage foundation looks SO bad on me. My skin feels...alien. Beauty Gurus fool people by drenching their face in foundation because they have bright, BRIGHT ring lights.
Agreed on all the points except primer. My makeup looks horrible without a primer
Urooj Jarral me too. I love my primer.
I just use eyeshadow primer. I haven't been able to find a concealer that doesn't crease on my oily eyelids.
Coral same! I feel like the concealers are too thick and breakdown anyway from my oily eyelids.
Which primer do you use? Looking to buy one
My daily makeup routine:
Lip balm
Cream blush/lip
My fancy makeup:
Mascara
Concealer
Cream blush/lip
Same..include sunscreen as moisturizer..I'm done
FINALLY someone who says NO to sheet masks!! I thought I was the only one who hated them 😂
You can also create a blush using a liquid lipstick and a drop of foundation. But you have to be really quick with it and blend it well.
Your so true about eyecreams, I tried undereye cream for a month, I was fed up and yes I didn't see any difference with it. So completely stopped.
You have a nice smile jovita
* A brow powder! I usually use the darkest brown eyeshadow from my eyeshadow pallet to fill my brows out!!
Your videos are amazeballs and so are you!!
addition is "hand cream" same is with it, why use it when a body lotion works alright
I find hand creams handy because unlike other lotions they don't leave my hands oily or sticky.
@@ipsitaagarwal7485 i think not all body lotions are sticky
But they generally leave residue.
@@ipsitaagarwal7485 try using baby lotions like Johnsons
@@lurreighagniezka6363 will give it a try. Thanks.

I used to wear lipstick as blush but it causes small pimples! And then I use the normal blush and it doesn't cause any kind of pimples or rashes!
Le Five same happend with me
I think it depends on your skin.
Cecile Marie Sybico pretty nice skin then!
I really only use sheet masks when I travel and my skin is going through the ringer on the plane. If I don’t moisturise well and use a sheet mask I get extremely dry and then a couple hours later I am an oily mess ;-;
agreeing with the blush thing✋
also, it frees your from having to use a brush for the application ( how often do we clean our brushes anyway?)
going with my fav lipstick with clean fingers does pretty much the same job✔️
I completely agree about the micellar water but I now use it to clean my makeup brushes because it’s way cheaper than the specific products marketed to clean them. Leaves them really clean and soft and prevents shedding 👍🏼

Thank you for the information and btw your eye makeup is stunning!🌹
You just stopped me from buying one more eyeshadow palette😂😂

So glad I found you as a scientist in beauty I teach a lot of this on my channel especially about women using I creams and thinking that it’s the next best thing to change wrinkles etc. on the face the moment you stop using it your skin goes right back to what it was. Eye creams are cosmetics they’re not drugs anything that alters an individual physically must be approved by the FDA as a drug which cosmetics are not. Really great video
