- BIG THANK YOU Malaysia Airlines 9M-MNF 100th Airbus A380-841 MH8491 Departing Manchester MAN For The Last Time Back To Kuala Lumpur KUL Malaysia On 02/10/2019 After Helping Evacuate Thousands Of Thomas Cook Passengers From Palma De Mallorca PMI Over Several Days Back To Manchester MAN.
Manchester Airport On This Day Saw Three Different Airbus A380-841 On The Ground At The same Time Namely Malaysia Airlines, Hi Fly Malta And Emirates Airlines.
Being a Malaysian, I always proud seeing Malaysia Airlines in other country because I know and it reminds me that plane will be flying back to my 'kampung'= 'home' the country where i born. For many malaysian travelled out from the country will feel the same...
Missing the announcement, 'Selamat kembali ke tanah air', missing the 'Malaysian Hospitality'...
It's true...same feeling I felt when spotting Malaysia Airlines planes in the skies while working abroad.
It's true, 2018 was my last flight from Miri to Kuala Lumpur - London - New York.
And now living my life with my wife and kids in Austin Texas.
Hoping next year I will able to planning going back to my homeland.
But too sad there's no more B747 and A380 😭 I missed those two beauty in the sky.
ThankYou for this video, am the copilot of this flight flying back to KUL.
So sad today. MH officially will no longer flying this big Bird.
But At least I have this video as memory ❤️

Actually if you noticed that actually the crews are from special 'Amal' (Charity services) subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines which solely serves Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Which is why you see most of the attendants have their heads covered rather than the normal kebaya outfit

That crew outfit (grey uniform) also for crew who serve an extra flight or chartered flight
Boleh jer kan kekal or apply this uniform to MAS commercial flight.
Good job to those crew members who ferried those stranded passengers back to Manchester safe and sound, and keep up the good work guys! Watching this from the Philippines! 🇵🇭

I was on that plane flying back from palma to Manchester... Thomas cook collapsed the day after I flew out on holiday with them
Sad this had to happen am glad the government did a great job in managing to bring everyone back home.

Mike November Foxtrot. 100th Airbus A380 built from Toulouse for Malaysian Airlines.
This is the last MH A380 flying out from KUL tomorrow morning (12/19/2022).
Soon it will join with 5 other 'sisters' which are now in storage in Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées (LDE) waiting for their fate.
Goodbye 'Dugong'. Thanks for the memories.
We're lucky to see both MH and HiFly's A380s in one frame.

Got onboard with MAS A380 in 2014 - 2016 from KL to London back and forth and I had such excellent journey with them, yea so sad we won't be seeing this big bird again
@@Reez2Knight you can still see her in KLIA. They put her on sale and these MAS A380s are still doing test flight before others bought it.

Please elaborate. This was a special flight to ferry those Thomas Cook passengers and not a usual flight? So was this flight flying home empty?
Yes the flight was empty going back home after completing the contract to evacuate the stranded Thomas Cook customers.

Why was there a Malasian A380 and that other A380 at Manchester airport. I thought Emirates was the only airline that operated the A380 there.
They carried out repatriation flights for the UK civil aviation authority bringing back home passengers of the collapsed Thomas Cook airlines.

Because was contracted by UK Civil Aviation Authority to help evacuate customers of the collapsed holiday company Thomas Cook from Palma De Mallorca to Manchester now finished the contract and departing Manchester for the last time.
