The answer was - we work on QA business systems: planning, bug reporting, tracking bugs, release certification, automation. We are not going to workplace every day to find more bugs. We improve the systems, which, in turn, will improve the quality of the software.

Hey sir Portnov, great class you have there. I just have a small ambiguity toward 34:00, where you explain Black vs White box testing. My perception of the these are as followed : Black box testing will test a functionality without knowledge of its integration or implementation in a module, which mean "Will the function/form/etc. achieve its purpose", while white box testing is done after the integration of the functionality in a module or set of module. It is done in the integration and system testing to make sure the structural integrity of the functionality stands up to the rest of the code in which it has been implemented. Yes, white box will require access to the source code, as the modules interfaces and function calls are key to analyse structural problems. Still, white box testing is not the action of finding defects in the code, but rather point out structural integrity when multiple piece of codes are integrated one to another.
Black box is a metaphor used to show that the functionality is in a box which covers its surrounding, forcing the tester to ignore "Why" the functionality exist and focus on "How" it should behave. White box, also called clear box, creates the image that you focus on a module, but you have to understand and its position in the module/project.
What are your thoughts on this ?

    • @oluwatoyinmustapha5586

I understand the lecture till he get to the Black and White Box Testing. I hope to get more details when the class started 🙏. I will definitely log on to the online to get more information about it.

I have been doing research and i observed that you are the best QA training facility. I am surprised you decided to train online, practical onsite training along with theory is the better way. Students need to have hands on experience in testing tools and projects.

Hi, thank you for your video series; I studied and am currently trying to get in as a software developer in C#, java or even php; I've been on many interviews, but I keep getting the not enough experience. I've done non-paid internship testing and developing in C# and that it still doesn't help. So, I'm going to take your advice and try QA as a way to enter the field. What advice would you have? Also I live in California.
