@@shimmymorris1what's the best location or your recommendation city to target on Facebook or Google ads? And if you target nationwide, please advise. Thanks.
Guy over 50 and retired IT pro here. It amazes me how the generation before me doesn't believe anything on the Internet is true and this new generation believes everything is. It's amazing.
My experience, when trying to warn people that doing X wasn't as easy as some people said, was that I got lots of abuse and that I wanted to keep X all for myself. Some people like to be told lies chasing the dream of making money with little effort. And some creators take advantage of that to get views.
It's interesting how all of these videos that try to sell you an easy way seem to focus on the "fun" part of designing and are never talking about things like taxes or legal stuff, which can become really difficult depending on where you live and get you in some big trouble if you're not doing it right. I don't know how it is in other countries and if it's really that easy where all of these people come from, but one reason why I don't just try to start off with an idea is that in germany (where I'm from) there's nothing like 'just starting a business'. The moment you want to sell something you need to deal with registering your business, bookkeeping, taxes (which is not a joke - with a business there's so much you need to consider and remember and deal with and if you're not well versed in this topic you're often better off paying an expert to avoid trouble, which can be pretty expensive) and all the other things our bureaucracy came up with to make things even more complicated. I'd gladly spend my time designing stuff, organize a shop, calculate costs and profits and deal with raking in customers if I just wouldn't have to deal with taxes and legal stuff. >.>
great Great GREAT.!!!! VIDEO.!! You are so right. Print on demand, it's not just a passive income. It is not just a passive business. It is a long-term business/ career, if a person so desires. It is not a get rich scheme. It is a real business. I truly like you and your videos. You're awesome.!!!
I freaking love your videos! Ive been binge watching your videos and although I already know most of this stuff its just great to hear such a down to earth guy getting the truth out there
Five minutes?? LOL!! Oh my goodness..... it takes me FOREVER to design.. I am a perfectionist, and probably take longer than most, but five minutes?? That's hilarious. lol
Thank you so much for this video. I see a lot of these and I just cringe at how they make it sound so simple. I love my POD buisness but it's hardly passive I work on it every single day. Thank you for pointing out how silly they are I was laughing hard on a couple of these. 😅
This was such a great video. I started POD and I can’t find any companies that do sweatshirts for under $18…. So yeah, have to charge almost $50 if you wanna make any profit
You are amazing ❤ I tried print on demand business. it is not passive and it takes 24/7 of your time #designing unique design + #marketing on various platforms. It is not easy and you need a Bold strategy. I wish everyone got it. 😢
I am just one step from chucking the whole thing as a crock sick n tired of wasting my time listing posting on etsy watching these people n they never tell u any real things to actually do just annoying
Yeah Ive watched the Shopify and doing your own thing schpeal and I’m sold Just too broke right now to do it but I def would do it but then theres the driving your own traffic business i have no money for them ads neither or time to be on social media for hours on end
Hey Shimmy - I always have wanted to run my own webstore and I've been looking at Pod for a while now. But i'm struggling selecting what product to focus my store around. And by extension, what niche. Do you happen to have any advice or video about this? You videos are great! Please keep it up!
i would recommend t-shirts it's by far the most popular product. with the niche, that'll be based on some research. we're in the process of making a full step by step training, that should be out in a few weeks
Ummm, it is against Etsy's terms to just slap a ready made graphic from another site onto a product. You have to have a hand in creating the design in at least some way.
True passive income doesn't have to deal with the customer, like an affiliate or say Amazon Merch on Demand. Amazon takes care of the customer service. You sell on Etsy/Shopify/Wordpress-Woo, its not passive. POD is not easy, its just a low barrier of entry. You want to make it without infringing it takes work, even if its just side part time money.
We are a car channel, whats the best way to create designs when you yourself isn;t a good drawer? LOL Just trying to find places to at least start. I have a good logo and working on building a brand around that logo and tings.
Check out Canva and Vexels those are two good options if your not a graphic artist. Personally I'm a graphic artist and I use them for designs and a million other things. Take care. Hawk out!!
You said that you made 200 designs last week. For one store or several? How many designs do you have in your Shopify store? How many do you plan to max out at? I'm asking because I havent seen this answered (or missed the answer).
Kinda like your honesty. But I dont completely buy it you know. If you had so profitable business you wouldn't bother with yt videos. At least thats my point of view so i take everything you say with big grain of salt.
That’s ok. I make videos because I love it. Money doesn’t change that. I’ve been making videos since I was 15. Been posting on RUclips for 8 years long before I had any success. Making money has nothing to do with whether I make Videos or not. Not sure why the 2 are connected
Shimmy these people making these videos are just copying what you’re saying in their won words for clicks and views! She’s another copy grifter who never makes anything herself except her content which is really just parroting what others have said but not as accurately true!
Always remember Print on Demand is EASY!!!
hahah EASSSY!

That is an excellent point. I have been needing a way to articulate that. I'm stealing your comment and acting as if it is my own. ;)

most of these creators are just copying each other and say nothing new.

Who do you recommend for a honest tutorials on Tik Tok in conjunction with POD?
TikTok is definitely full of rubbish
Hi, amazing video. Can you talk about the process of creating ads? What type of ad perform the best? And also how to manage them? Thank you anyway
Yes, I'd like to know that too. After creating a design, how do u go about advertising (from beginning till the end).
yup incoming

That's Ronnie McKenzie (the one talking about POD in Europe). He's s genuine coach. He's good.
yup!
hello shimmy, whats the best provider to make wall art POD in US and UK ??
i don't sell wall art so unsure

you could find some inspiration on creative fabrica, creative market, you could hire someone to make some designs, or a brand for you
Hi Shimmy, why don't you like Gelato?
Unethical business practices. To put it simply
I would like to know how she makes a design in 5 minutes.
You said that you made 200 designs last week. For one store or several? How many designs do you have in your Shopify store? How many do you plan to max out at? I'm asking because I havent seen this answered (or missed the answer).
yea. made 200. uploaded 70. we have just under 300 at the moment. I haven't thought about the max. Will keep posting new designs
I just started and I noticed how much work it is 😢
so much work. but it's worth it. any business is a lot of work
If you take 5 minutes to create a design, that tells me that you do not put in the real time to create a great design.
yup, and the designs are probably 💩
