The legendary Kanan family were rather close and appreciative of the great Ustad Amir Khan Saab. Here, Malabikaji sings Khan Saab's famous Sahana composition beautifully. Dr. Jog was also a frequent collaborator of Khan Saab.
Beautiful experience! Had heard about Malavika ji from my mother. And Pt V G Jog on the violin is icing on the cake, not to forget the exquisite tabla accompaniment!
Reminds me of the divine ambience of Hindusthani Classical Music in Kolkata during my college/ University days of the 1970s ... What a sweet, melodious voice! What a soulful rendition!! Pity, Vidushi Malavika Kanan and several other great talents like her have been consigned to oblivion by the later generations ...
May anyone kindly enlighten about the concert with details of the other artists. It's a privilege to listen to this gem. My humble respect for the upload.

I had the good. Fortune to enjoy a whole night concert by pt AT Kanin. Pata. Malavika Kanin back in 1963-64 Still vivid. Unforgettable
