I've been looking g for this. I've seen people make skirts. But only tutorials I find use lovers knots as the foundation chain.

I love this so much. I really wanna ask, please can I know why you make two lovers knots in one chain and not one ? How does that change the project ?

it’s to create the x shape - to have a single crochet “knot” in the middle of the two loops as well as at either end, to work into on the next round and create the x shape. If you did one knot every time it would be the same pattern every row - with all the single crochets stacked on top of eachother and the loops stacked (which i guess you could do? i could imagine that also looking cute). hope this wasn’t too complicated ahaha
